The thing about ML Hamiltons' work is that you get hooked right away. What better way than to take the ride with Peyton Brooks and her FBI team, The Ghost Squad, then with the box set. The series is set in California. Mysterious circumstances in bizarre, unsolved FBI cases, take the team across the State, and across the pond and across the border, to solve murders that have gone unanswered. There is mystery within Peyton's own personal life. A hefty dollop of romance burns bright in Peyton's interactions with her former homicide detective partner. Marco's life progresses as well and challenges the love he feels for Peyton. A whole new motley crew joins forces in Hollywood with the family we have come to know and love from 'The Peyton Brooks Mystery Series'. Questions are answered. However, some ties left undone allow you to move from book to book seamlessly. Binge listening - that's what I'm taking about. Mystery, family, romance, fun, heartbreak, humanity - its a here.
I fell in love with Marco on page three of the detective series, with me being his love, of course. Well written, I have loved all of these stories, both the detective and FBI series’s, and have just ordered the next book in line.
The struggle to maintain a relationship is a vigorous one. Peyton and Marco encounter much adversity on their love journey. Throw in some serial killers, dead bodies, kidnapping, a few landed bullets-how can a love thrive under those circumstances? Love turns to obsession. Ability turns into disability. Failure abounds. Who wins? Who loses?
I love these characters. I want them in my family circle. The flamboyant ME, the bestie and her craziness, the lost soul returning to life. Hey, I have a big kitchen! Come over and let’s get to know each other.
A new series, but we still see familiar characters from the Peyton Brooks’ Mysteries series. With Peyton‘a move to the FBI, and Marco’s promotion, we see what a toll it takes on their relationship... all while investigating two major cases!
I love the expanded series by M. L. Hamilton. The new characters are a perfect compliment to all the familiar faces. I just can’t get enough.
I absolutely love Kelley Hazen‘s narrations. As I listen, I find that I lose myself in the story...not wanting it to end!

Book 2 - Mermaids in the Pacific
While Peyton’s personal life may be in shambles, she is certainly making her mark in the FBI. It’s another unusual case... the deformed body of an infant washes ashore. Could it actually be a mermaid?
Marco is struggling, but he needs to pull it together not just for himself, but also for his team as they deal with 2 big cases.
I have become so invested in these characters created by M.L. Hamilton. The more I listen, the more I want!
Kelley Hazen’s narration adds another layer to an already great story. I find myself so engrossed in what is going on that I just can’t put it down.

Book 3 - Werewolves in London
Peyton’s latest case with the Ghost Squad takes her to London. Having visited London a few years ago, I loved all the local references... they brought back fond memories.
M.L. Hamilton has done a fantastic job with keeping 2 storylines going in the book. While Peyton is in London, Marco and the SFPD are working on their own high profile case. Then there is the relationship story arc too. Lots going on to keep my interest!
Kelley Hazen has really outdone herself with this narration. Not only does she have different voices for the regular cast of characters, but now there are more and with new accents added in. Truly entertaining.

Book 4 - Vampires in Hollywood
The FBI’s latest case takes them to Hollywood. The Ghost Squad needs to enlist some help on this case... they need people to go undercover. I loved how Marco, Jake, and Abe were brought into this case!
I couldn’t imagine how, but these stories by M. L. Hamilton keep getting better and better. The characters are so well developed and the storylines are so involved. I’m totally invested.
Kelley Hazen delivered another fantastic performance. She obviously knows the characters very well and has a way with making sure their personalities shine through.

Book 5 - Mayan Gods in the Yucatan
Peyton Brooks is back and this time her case takes her and her team to the Yucatán. While she’s out of the country, Marco and his team have their own cases to investigate. Full of action and suspense on all fronts.
The circle of characters that ML Hamilton has created feel like family to me. I love how the relationships continue to expand and grow. Each book builds on the prior ones and the circle of characters continues to grow.
I can’t imagine anyone other than Kelley Hazen narrating the Peyton Brooks books. The unique voices she has created for each of the characters really bring out their personalities.

They Peyton Brooks, FBI Box Set: Volume One: Books 1-5 was a great read by M.L. Hamilton. THis box set consists of; Zombies in the Delta, Mermaids in the Pacific, Werewolves in London, Vampires in Hollywood, and Mayan Gods in the Yucatán. Zombies in the Delta (Peyton Brooks, FBI #1) was a great read by M.L. Hamilton. Peyton and Marco’s relationship may still be relatively new, but it has undergone some big changes. They both have new and demanding jobs while they struggle finding their equilibrium between professional and personal lives. Marco is also having a hard to accepting his own physical limitations and believes that Peyton is only staying with him because of guilt. Peyton knows that he is growing distance and starts worrying about it. Unfortunately she is afraid to confront him and add to the stress. There is a zombie killer in the Delta and Peyton has to focus on finding the elusive murderer. Mermaids in the Pacific (Peyton Brooks, FBI #2) was a great read by M.L. Hamilton. Peyton was hoping that new adventure and intrigue would come into her life now that she works for the FBI. She was assigned to the Ghost Squad, and everything is wrong. Her new boss, Radar, thinks that Peyton is looking to get his job. Her once full house is now empty with only her and her dog. Peyton feels sidelined while Marco is in a battle for his life. A mermaid is found floating off Natural Bridges State Beach. Peyton and her team may be sucked into a standoff between the federal government and a cult known as Horizon. Werewolves in London (Peyton Brooks, FBI #3) was another great read by M.L. Hamilton. In the first couple months with the FBI, Peyton has solved two cases. It seems as though her career is coming together. But her personal life is something else. Marco seems to want to work on their relationship, but building trust takes time. Everything is put on hold when an American student is killed in London. The Ghost Squad goes to London to catch a killer that seems to get bolder with each attack. He also howls after each kill. Vampires in Hollywood (Peyton Brooks, FBI #4) was a great read by M.L. Hamilton. Marco is still learning how to navigate his job as police captain. His personal relationship with Peyton is more challenging to navigate. Friction is caused between them when Marco finds himself jealous of her new friend Mike. Peyton and Tank are trying to gain traction in a cold case, when Radar’s wife provides them with their next case. Mayan Gods in the Yucatán (Peyton Brooks, FBI #5) was a great read by M.L. Hamilton. After Marco’s surgery, he has a long road of rehabilitation ahead of him. His precinct needs him to focus on the murder of a young serviceman who has ties to the Mayor. A DEA agent ends up going missing and the Ghost Squad is called to the Yucatán to investigate. They find themselves in a drug war between two countries. They are facing an adversary that will only be appeased in the blood of human sacrifice to an uneasy Mayan God. I loved listening to Kelley Hazen’s narration and can’t wait to read more by the author.
Peyton Brooks FBI. I really enjoyed this series and look forward to more .The stories are very good and the continual Uncertainity of the affairs of the main characters. I was a little confused in the story line of the Mayan Gods story in THE series as I cannot figure out the out come of the mysterious IRIAQ coin which was found with the first victim. Was it the same type of coin used in purchase of drugs in Mexico. Peyton did see the photo of he coin and a further copy of the coin later in Mexico but the comparison was not really clear . However more Peyton please how about a P.I. story with Mario and Peyton as partners in their own company now that they are married couple . Adrian McKee.
Peyton Brooks is at it again! In this 5 volume box set, Peyton joins the FBI and becomes a member of "The Ghost Squad". From San Francisco, to the U.K. and Mexico Peyton bonds with her new team and continues to struggle with her relationship with Marco. M.L.'s characters are well developed an exciting. Once you open the box set you will not put it down until the last page of book 5! Does Peyton and Marco resolve their issues?? Read this box set, on the last pages of book 5, you my find the continuing/ending saga of Peyton, Marco and the Ghost Squad!!
Please take the above warning seriously. Once you start reading you are hooked. The story lines and characters feel you in effortlessly. You are carried along with no will power to put this collection of books down. Don't think that once you have finished the first, you will be able to give it a rest. You will find the temptation to start the next irresistible.
I just finish the Peyton Brooks FBI Box Set or 5 books. Agent Brooks continues to Dazzle and amaze her co-workers with her intelligence and insight into human nature! What most drew me into this ongoing story and captured my attention was Marco and then Peyton's ability to see their own mistakes; then work on improvements! How Humane can you get! Stella Sutton
I love these books I thought the first box set was a great read but this box set was even better I really hope the author is making a third box set want to keep up with Payton and all her crazy events as lets face it she's had a lot but what about Ryder could be have found love with bambi let's hope so 😘
Zombies in the Delta Mermaids in the Pacific Werewolves in London Vampires in Hollywood Mayan Gods in Yucatan
I honestly feel like I know these characters inside out and back to front!! Great bunch of characters from serious to the not so!! I’d definitely still read more from this author!!
I like the fact that the lead characters are not perfect but totally normal with their imperfections. I love stories about murder and mayhem and these stories kept me reading "just one more page" to make sure Peyton or Bambi were OK. All the characters were believable and I was sorry to come to the end.
These books a bit different where Peyton and Marco relationship was like 2 teenagers. I was getting frustrated with all going back and forth and just wanted to scream man up both of you. I liked the introduction of new characters a bit more detail would have made them more interesting. Sad the series is over. Loved the author so definitely will try another of her series.
INCREDIBLE! I LOVE these books! Even the mess-up phone call between Peyton & Marco in Mermaids in the Pacific. I love the way Peyton messes with stuff and breaks stuff, it makes her here with me laughing. I love the ending of the last book. I can see myself buying 6 & 7. WORTH READING!!! I would recommend reading "The Peyton Brooks' Mysteries Box Set" FIRST !!!
While I enjoyed these books, I don't think they reflect their titles. I expected more concerning Peyton and I felt the author enjoyed writing about the others far more, as colourful and delightful as they were! The story lines were good, light to read and great for whiling away some hours!
Could not withstand the narrator on this one. I listen to 4-5 books a month and I have never, ever given up simply because the narration was so odd. If you get the audiobook- SAMPLE IT before you buy. I was super excited because there are so many books in this series and it was a deal on Amazon; but it just was no way to survive listening to it.
Why do all detective stories need detective detectives
This could be a five star jf the author didn't ruin part of the story with bs about poor relationship. I really enjoyed the detective aspect of the story. This book suffers from actively destroying the comradery set up in the first series
But thrilling has never been enough for me. I want a book to be interesting so the story line continues instead of just occupying space until the next explosion. M. L. Hamilton is an expert at writing plenty of thrills without neglecting the storyline. They are a great read.
Love everything about these books. Payton Brooks and her partner Marco are the youngest detectives on the SFPD and must prove their value to the whole force while solving crimes that can’t be solved. Lots of action and great characters, these books will hold your interest and you can’t put them down. Full of chills, thrills, laughter and great plots.
Well rounded interesting characters and compelling story lines. Lots of relevant side stories to keep things interesting and a little playful. I enjoy both the Peyton series.
Quite liked the cases, didn't really like the relationship guff, it interrupted the cases which were more interesting. Maria is an absolutely horrible friend and easily the most annoying character Also, although megabox /compendium is good value, I got bored.
I read my first set of 8 books about Peyton and Marco in June this year and couldn't put them dow. I searched and found this set and have found the same enjoyment with each book. I intend to read all of ML Hamilton's books and am.sure they will all be great reads
I loved the characters and how they mesh the old ones with the new FBI ones. While each book is a case itself, I love how the story continues on. If I wasn't a Peyton Brooks fan I wouldn't have read these based on the individual titles.
This is an excellent read- I read all the FBI volumes and enjoyed the books so much - especially in this pandemic it makes living though it much easier
Wow! I love this series. I also love that they come in box sets. The stories & characters keeps me wanting more. I just bought the next book in this series. I have to keep reading.
Meet Peyton and Marco and all their quirky friends and family and follow them on their adventures in San Francisco and elsewhere that the bad guys think they can get away with murder.
I truly enjoyed this books. These books made me sad and happy at the same time. Books had werewolves and vampires unbelievable. It had the FBI and San Francisco murder squad. Two different cases at the same time it also had romance. The good with the bad.
