** 3.5 stars**

This book has a balanced amount of angst and sweetness. The stepfamily trope is not exactly my favorite but this was a very enjoyable read. Two stepbrothers who are as close as can be until one becomes a bully instead of a friend. Time passes and the chasm between them only grows bigger. But when family has trouble Luc drops everything to help even if the unwanted feelings towards his stepbrother Adam are still way too close to the surface.

The tension between them escalates to the point where one has to give in and tell the truth. When Luc confesses his reason for turning cold and mean to Adam all those years ago and that he still carries the torch for him Adam's reaction is very strong and their relationship becomes even more volatile than before. A lot of the internal musings of both MCs centrals on the stepfamily aspect of their connection and I understand that this is a big issue for many people but even when the situation was resolved and their relationship was in the open and accepted even by their parents they were still thinking about each other and referring to each other as brothers and that added a little ick factor for me - like pushing the issue a little too hard even after it's handled.

The ballet and dancing part was wonderful to read and felt like it was well researched, I loved their parents and the whole school problem and how hands on Luc was. There was humor, angst, lots of sarcasm and some smexy times. The writing style was flowing and it was easy to read and follow the story. All in all it was a very good book.

What if your feelings for your stepbrother aren’t only brotherly feelings...?

After years of being away from home his mom calls to say they need his help to continue their dance school... so there goes Luc... back home and he has to face his brother.
Adam is deeply hurt when suddenly his brother turns his back to him and even more hurtful, he just left and never returned... until now.

A moving story with anger, lust, hot and steamy love and compassion.
Good written, captivating and enough developed. I loved it how both men were put in a bubble so all the attention did go to them, just a little side story but the main were the brothers.
Of course there is some drama but not too much.
Really nice story with a dance world as background.

Kindly received an arc from the author

I usually like stepbrother romance stories. And I don’t have a problem with incest either, not that I read much, but with those I did read, I could decide if it felt right to me or not. If the love is all encompassing, then I don’t care that they are brothers by blood, or just adopted.

This book however threw me for a loop. I loved Adam’s initial reaction to his stepbrother’s advances, but he gave in too quickly in my opinion. And I couldn’t decide if their relationship was right or wrong, because it was said over and over again that they grew up together like true brothers, they were tight, even though Luc left after college and rarely talked to his family. Even after they decided to try and be together, I thought they would call each other boyfriends or lovers, but they still called each other brothers. And that didn’t feel right to me. I think the words stepbrother/brother were overused and it strengthened the feeling in me, that what was happening is wrong, though they clearly loved each other, so I should’ve felt the exact opposite. And Adam’s too sudden change didn’t help matters.

So this whole thing was balancing between right or wrong, and the scale didn’t tip over either way for me. While I enjoyed this book somewhat, this big problem was floating around throughout the whole story, and in the end I didn’t feel like it’s been solved, I should’ve felt some closure I think.

In other aspects it was a great book. I loved the tenderness between Adam and Luc, the playfulness, I even loved the anger. The dancing part wasn’t overdone, it was jut enough. I also loved the parents, their reaction was not what I expected, but that’s a damn good thing. Secondary characters were great too. But I think I will enjoy Mason’s story more.

3.5 stars rounded down to 3 because still no 1/2 stars here on GR and this one didn't quite make the bump up zone for me...full review below...

This one poses an interesting moral dilemma…

What makes someone your brother?

Adam and Luc grew up together. When Luc’s mom marries Adam’s dad the two also decide to adopt each other’s child making them all legally family. This was all well and good until the boys are older and Luc realizes that his feelings for Adam are much more than brotherly or even best friends. Luc’s solution is to put distance between them first by how he treats Adam…no longer are they friends, Luc begins to treat Adam horribly pushing him away until the day that Luc goes off to college never returning to his family home…even for a visit.

When Luc’s mother calls him years later to help save their failing dance studio. Luc convinces himself that his feelings for Adam are under control but regardless of whether they are or not, his mom needs his help and even he’s not a big enough jerk to ignore a plea for help from the mother he loves.

As soon as Luc is faced with Adam he knows the truth of things…he’s not over Luc…he’ll probably never be over Luc.

I’ve often said that I enjoy a story that makes me examine my own ideals and values and this one certainly did that. While the premise of the story was more than a little intriguing to me. I found the execution of the premise was ok but there were a couple of things that kept it from being more enjoyable…

At times for me Luc was just too aggressive in his pursuit of Adam…aggressive to the point that I felt uncomfortable for Luc.

I would have liked for both men to have come to terms with their feelings for each other before becoming involved in a romantic relationship with each other. I’m not a fan of incest stories and at times that’s what this one felt like because both Adam and Luc kept thinking of each other as ‘brothers’ rather than ‘lovers’. (I’ll ramble about this more shortly)

My last issue regarding this story and it was probably the smallest of them all was the emphasis on the sexual aspect of their relationship…especially from Luc’s perspective. Don’t misunderstand I think a strong and passionate relationship is important to any relationship and from that perspective this worked, but for me it felt like there was just a bit too much emphasis being put on the physical relationship and I needed the emotional connection to feel like it was as strong as part of their connection as the sex, but for me it just didn’t quite get there.

I’m going to go back to my point about ‘brothers’ vs ‘lovers’. For me this was more of a moral or idealistic question and something that we all need to decide for ourselves. I know what my decision was at the end of it all, but in the end it’s a decision that each reader needs to make for themselves.

Neil Macfarlane was the narrator for this audio book and it appears to be his first audio book which was part of the reason I wanted to listen to this story…it’s always good to have another narrator you enjoy and while the audio sample went well enough to interest me. I have to admit I’m still undecided about the book in its entirety. Mr. Macfarlane’s narration was good in that this story is set in England and he has the accent which really helps to maintain the story’s setting. Where things fell a bit short for me was how expressive he was or at times more accurately wasn’t. So here we are back to the sex…so, I’m going to be direct here…if I’m reading a story where two people are as hot for each other as these two supposedly are than when a sex scene happens I need the narrator to convince me that they’re genuinely passionate for each other…I realize this is a fine line that needs to be walked here because…to much expressiveness and it becomes eyeroll inducing at the least and simply laughable at the worst but here it was closer to ‘well…I guess we should have sex now’…sorry but it just didn’t convince me that this was a love affair for the ages. Still aside from this little quirk I did feel that this is a narrator with strong potential and I’m definitely going to be keeping an eye out for future audio releases…one story does not determine things for me with either an author or a narrator.

‘A Dance for Two’ was my first waltz with this author and the narrator and while it didn’t work out quite as well as I would have liked. It was still strong enough to get my attention and make me interested in seeing what the future brings from Colette Davison as an author and from Neil Macfarlane as a narrator.

I think this was mostly just meh for me. Not because it was step-brothers, but because the chemistry just wasn't really there. It was at first, I felt, but when Adam found out about how Luc felt, and it didn't go well, and took him a long time to be okay with it. Also, his transition from resisting to accepting it didn't feel very organic to me.

Also, even after they're together they think things like "he hugged his brother" or "he took his brother's hand" and i was just kind of like...why didn't think ever think of each other as lovers or boyfriends? If they have romantic feelings for each other, not brotherly feelings, why did we have to keep reading them thinking of each other as "brother"? It just made it a little too...uncomfortable for me.

They're step-brothers, but they grew up together...i think I prefer step-brothers who like...maybe their parents get married when they're in high school, or even out of high school, so they didn't grow up together, like brothers. It just makes it all the more uncomfortable, I think. I think they even refer to each other as their brother out loud a few times.

I don't *shrug* unless it's like straight up erotica, just taboo type of thing without delving deeper and being terribly realistic, then the more like incest it is the weirder it is for me, idk.

I mean I still enjoyed this this, but in the end I felt pretty "meh" about it. It was okay. But I just didn't feel enough chemistry, enough fire and passion between these two. The sex was pretty lackluster too, not very involved or written out, so that left even less room for chemistry to come across.

This just didn't fully work for me, even though it was pretty enjoyable in the beginning.

I’m torn because I can’t decide how I feel about Luc and Adam’s feelings about being together. I know they have been raised as brothers from the time they were quite young, even to the point of each boy's parent adopting the other. When Luc starts having feelings that are not so brotherly at the age of 14, he lashes out and pushes Adam away, making Adam despise him. He eventually leaves for University and doesn’t return home, settling in the city.

Now, he is back to try to help save his parents' dance studio, but his feelings for Adam haven’t diminished and Adam is completely disgusted by Luc once he makes his feelings known, and it just gets worse for Adam when he discovers that the attraction is mutual.

While the story was well-written, at times I felt a bit creeped out, especially during intimate moments, with the mention of stepbrother over and over. (He pulled his stepbrother to him and kissed his stepbrother's lips, plunging his tongue into his stepbrother's mouth) That’s not an exact quote, but it was things like that that not only weirded me out a bit, but the overuse of the word stepbrother impeded the flow of the scenes, especially the sexy ones, in my opinion. Adam mentions incest on more than one occasion and although these two are not blood related, and in fact, are NOT committing incest, I felt a bit icky while reading, at times.

While not my favorite story from Collette Davison, I think it was more of a it was me, and not necessarily the book situation, and I’m sure plenty, especially those who enjoy twin/brocest, *cough* my co-bloggers*cough* , will probably love it. Still, this was enjoyable and I’d definitely recommend it!

This book was so good. Beautifully written with raw and intense emotions. Their dance for two is not an easy one, but love and understanding go a long way.
Adam and Luc are stepbrothers and have always loved each other. During their teens, Luc discovers his love is different than for a brother. The only way he knows to react is to lash out and turn his back on his brother. Ever since his relationship with Adam is strained.
Now, Luc is back to help their parents save their dance studio. He can use his skills as marketing manager to turn the tide around. Not only does he have to reconcile with his parents, but he also has to face Adam again. Their first meeting is hostile, to say the least. And who can blame Adam? He never knew why Luc left the house as soon as he could.
What follows is a heartwarming pas de deux of two young men who have to deal with their changed relationship and less than brotherly feelings and the reactions of those who are near and dear to them. Falling for your stepbrother is still considered a taboo subject by a lot of people, but this author tackled it with sensitivity. She writes about the issue from different viewpoints. It is not one-sided, and all players get to say their piece with their own voice. Luc is the most certain of his feelings and can’t see any harm in it. At times, I found him a bit pushy. On the other hand, he finally finds his love reciprocated, and he is right about it not being wrong. They are stepbrothers, not biologically related, so why should it be wrong. It takes Adam more time to come around. Not only that he realizes he loves Luc as not-a-brother, but of what their parents would say. Understandably, their parents are not happy, and their reaction is not surprising. That is what Colette Davison does so well. She gives the reader real-life characters with genuine emotions.
It is a beautiful and captivating story from start to finish.

I felt like Adam's feelings for Luc were quite rushed. He went from being disgusted, to being in denial and then in love way too fast. The author didn't really provide enough content on his emotional struggle. I think if the author had included some flashbacks of their teenage years together it would have made the transition a bit smoother. Overall, it was a nice read since I love taboo stories.

I’ve read this author before. This was a mm contemporary story with Luke and Adam, step brothers as the main characters. I listened to the audiobook. This book was set in the UK in the ballet world. I’ll read more from this author.

I loved Adam and Luc, seeing them reconnect and work towards their HEA made for an engrossing story. From that fateful phone call that set everything in motion to the very last page, I couldn't stop reading. I'm really hoping that Mason has a book in the works because I want to see more of him.

Luc and Adam have had a roller coaster ride of a relationship. when their parents married they became stepbrothers. and were very close to one another. Then when Luc realised he was falling in love with Adam, he distance himself and did some stupid things to make Adam hate him. And he moved to the city.

Luc Knows he hurt Adam badly, but what was he supposed to do?

Adam just does not get why Luc distanced himself and did the stupid things he did.

They are thrown together once more when their mother asks Luc to help them save the family dance school.
We follow these two guys that try and build bridges, but there is a gulf between them. And when Luc comes clean and confesses the reason why he left. Adam is left dumbfounded, shocked and disgusted.

They have to work together to save the dance school, which helps them reconnect to each other. But how do they deal with the forbidden love as Adam sees things.

This story is full of emotions and uncertainities, you really feel their feelings as they both try and work through all the obsticles life has thrown their way. One of the biggest obsticles is that Adam never puts his wants first, He put his dream of being a professional Dancer to one side, so he could help thier parents at the Dance School. But with Luc’s nad Adams friend, pursuaiding he finally follows his dream.

I thoroughly enjoyed Adam and Luc’s journey, though they have lots of difficulties, the story is not gloomy.

Update: I didn't read after 12th ch & it's been almost 2yrs lol. Now I will have to reread from start, so dnf-ing! I started this @ 26 Nov 2022.

I completed till 12th chapter. Y'all know I love forbidden romance, stepsiblings are a treat lol.
Luc & Adam's relation after Adam finds about Luc's feelings is awkward, of course. I've read this scenario so many times, with different executions. I ain't sure why this felt a bit weird 🤔.

This story felt rushed and underdeveloped, especially when it comes to Adam.

For the most part it was more lust than love, and the constant use of words „brother“ and „stepbrother“ made this too uncomfortable for me.

This was a first-time author for me and I really enjoyed this book. It was well-written and I liked both MCs, Luc and Adam. I love a good taboo book, and while stepbrothers are not super taboo, there was just enough to make it extra hot.

The story was a little angsty just for the fact that Luc and Adam basically resented each other in different ways and so the tension between the two of them was high. I personally liked this because I was waiting for it to explode. It was nice to see the evolution of their relationship from the beginning of the book until the end. It was hard to see both of them struggle with keeping their relationship a secret and also their parents' reactions. However, by the end, they were super lovey and sweet with each other and things had definitely improved on the family front.

PLEASE READ FIRST MY RATING SYSTEM!!!
To my ratings (thanks to amazon I had to change it again and 'upgrade' it a little bit. 5* is now 5,5* and my old 3* is now a 4*):

5,5* - very very good and rare (it would be a Blow-Away-book like 'Liberty' from Seth King,
'Save the kids' series
from EM Leya or 'Jesse's Smile' from Angelique Jurd), it's like an A+
5* - very good and will be often reread and is a WOW-book with interesting plot and surprises
(like most of Andrew Grey books), it's like an A
4,5* - it's the place between I really like it and I love it, it's like an A-
4* - a really good book, which will be reread a few times (most romances where you can enjoy
for relaxing and during waiting times in hospitals). I can recommend them definitively!
It's like an A-B
3* - it could be more then a one-time-reader, but not really an often reread book
2* - it was ok to read, but it's more a one-time-reader (i wouldn't recommend it heartly, but
it was ok) It's like a C-, D
1* - sorry, but that isn't really a book for me (too many mistakes, not nice plot, unlogical,
NO-GO). It's like failure in the whole line, dismissed, repeat the class

2 stepbrothers, a small hometown, a danceschool in need, a family which is distant.
A story which is not usual.
How to fight against the own feelings? How to live the own dreams? How to help to rescue the dreams of the parents?

Read the book to find it out.

I found it a little bit long in some areas, but interesting written.

scorching hot love story between stepbrothers

Adam and Luc stole my heart. Their forbidden love, the twisting of emotions tugged my heartstrings. The sexual tension which brewed for years hung like a dark cloud until it reached capacity and just couldn’t hold anymore. Their intimate connect could not be contained. When they give in to their feelings the heat the create burned and made me squirm with the sexiness.
This love story between step brothers might seem wrong to some but I see is as finding the love of your life, your best friend who has been in front of you all the time

Adam and Luc’s story was a joy to share. The author did a great job of drawing two very different characters, coming from very different perspectives. At first glance one might think Adam and Luc couldn’t be more different but they are actually rather similar in personality. Both give their all to their chosen careers, both have made huge sacrifices to do what they think is right and both like to have the upper hand – of themselves and each other.
I loved that the story revolved around a dance school and we got such a fascinating glimpse into what it was like, and what it took to run one. There are so many little details that make the story come to life.
The thing I like best about the book is how real and honest the characters are. None of them are perfect. They all have their hang-ups and prejudices, but they play off each other to make the whole situation and all their actions feel logical and unforced. The author allows the story to unfold at its own pace, with the tension coming from the dynamics within the people and the family rather than outside influences.
One thing I struggled with a little and that was the way Luc had treated Adam in the past. He’d turned against him at a time when Adam really needed him to be there for him, then he’d run out on him altogether. Although Luc has a reason for this, it still isn’t an excuse, and to be honest there were times when he was still a dick to Adam. When we were introduced to Luc I was ready to invest and to like his character, but as the book progressed I lost some of that and my sympathies lay squarely with Adam. I’m not saying that’s a flaw in the story, in fact it adds more to the appeal and the sense of honesty within the characters.
The only criticism I can make of the book as a whole is that it could feel a little stiff and/or preachy at times, especially when Luc was talking to Adam. Nothing significant or near enough to pull me out of the story, but notable.
The secondary characters were almost as well drawn as the two main characters. I loved Adam and Luc’s parents. They were so warm and loving but there were enough hints with regard to their personalities, especially grumpy Ken, to make their reactions at the end, both good and bad, feel natural and not forced, as were the boys’ reactions.
I took to Mason straight away, which is just as well as I went on to read his story in book two, and I would love, love, love to go for a drink with Luc’s boss.
All in all this was the kind of book that is perfect for a holiday, or curling up on a cold dark day with a snuggly blanket and glass of wine. It’s definitely not fluff. There’s enough sex to spice things up, enough tension to keep you awake and interested and enough humour to make you smile. There are plenty of feels along the way.
I highly recommend this book.

Luc has been in love with his step-brother since they were teenagers. He's always done the one thing he could think of to keep the boundary of step-brothers between he and Adam. He pushed Adam away, fought his attraction tooth and nail and in the process he lost any kind of relationship he once had with Adam.

When he learns that his parent's business is in jeopardy and he has the marketing skill that may make a difference, he can't stay away. Even if Adam is going to be there. They're antagonistic towards each other. You can see how hurt Adam is by the fact Luc basically left him in the dust but he's so confused too.

Luc had mastered hiding his feelings for Adam but being this close, with the both of them as adults, it's hard to stop himself from looking. It's even worse trying to stop himself from admitting why he caused such a rift between them as teenagers and even now.

I could see the men that Luc and Adam had grown into. Luc business minded and Adam the dancer and instructor. Whenever Adam danced, I could see it in my mind. I loved that it was like watching a movie. Everything in this story was fluid, well paced and offered an escape from the real world for me.

There were moments I could feel the emotions they were going through. It was a rush from discovery, understanding, curiosity and the white hot attraction between them. And their chemistry once they allowed themselves to move past the boundary of step-brothers, it was breathtaking.

The reactions to their relationship, their feelings for each other, made sense. It wasn't all roses and perfect. They had to want this relationship one hundred percent because of the consequences they were going to be facing.

The relationship between Luc and Adam was a very much a dance for two.

Would I recommend this book to others? Most definitely. How does the author measure up? Well, pay day was Friday so I may have bought a couple of her other books.

Audiobook review...

A Dance for Two by Colette Davison is a love story that will tug at the reader's emotional heartstrings as well as their mind. It does have some taboo aspects in it, but honestly, if I was in the book, I would have supported the characters fully. Before we get into all that though, this is an audiobook review. So let's break it down.

Story: 4.5 stars

A Dance for Two is the story of two stepbrothers, Luc and Adam, and the love they share. There is a lot to this and what happens between them, the history they need to overcome, but I don't want to give too much away. I will say that it is full of emotion and very character driven. You feel the tension and the complexity of the enormous decision they both have to make. It isn't easy. I loved both Luc and Adam, but there were times when I thought Adam acted a little too spoiled. Given the past and the situation, it is understandable to a point.

The story is well-written and moves at a great pace. It is easy to picture the scenes as they unfold, and I love that. Especially when Colette describes the dancing. You can see the fluidity of Adam's body. Story 4.5 stars!

Narration: 4.5 stars

This book was narrated by Neil MacFarlane and this is the first time I've heard him narrate a story. Overall, I really liked his interpretation of the story and he was able to bring the characters to life. I wish there was a little more distinction between the two characters, but that is really the only critique I have. He didn't rush and read with relish and emotion. I would definitely listen to him again. I'll give the Narration 4.5 stars.

Overall: 4.5 stars

The story is good with characters that are realistic, who drive the story, and they keep you engaged. On top of that, Neil brings the book to life with his reading. Overall, I give this book 4.5 stars and highly recommend everyone one-click it today!

Emotional, heartbreaking, finding each other and second chance.
This book has all of that and more. Reading the story of Luc and Adam that are stepbrothers but raised together as brothers from when they were small and thinking that them being together was wrong.
Luc and Adam were best friends growing up until about 14 when Luc realized that he had feeling for his stepbrother Adam. Feelings that he didn't know how to handle so he started distancing himself from Adam but also started to bully hi with everyone else. Once Luc left for university he didn't come back but kept in touch with his parents.
Adam didn't understand how Luc went from being his best friend to all of sudden being one of the ones that bullied him because he loved to dance ballet. Adam stayed behind to help his parents run the dance studio and did not follow his dreams of being a dancer.
With their parents studio in financial hardship they reach out to Luc who works in marketing to see what they can do to generate more business for the studio. Luc finally tells Adam why he had to leave and not come back, but also why he bullied Adam. Once Adam knows the truth deep down now he understands why it hurt so much for Luc to reject him because deep down Adam felt the same way, but still was confused because they were stepbrother.
Being able to over come what others think about you and show them that no matter what they will be together is what this book showed me. Yes sometimes its scary to have to come out and let other know because you don't know what their reactions are going to be, but at the end of everything you have to hope that they will come around. Especially if you love them and they love you.

This is my first experience reading Colette's work and I really enjoyed it.
The story is full of tense times and emotions as Adam and Luc are reunited after four years apart when Luc left home for Uni, and before that he withdrew from their close relationship as he found himself attracted to his stepbrother. Adam never knew why and struggled with his negative feelings towarda Luc.
The initial reuniting of the stepbrothers is full of tension, hidden feelings and questions from Adam. We get the story from both MC's POV's and I think that helps with the intensity and the way that Adam has to work through his discovery when Luc reveals why he withdrew and left.
Their renewing of their relationship starts off physical but also necessitates a lot of talking and it's nice to read the two becoming close again despite the time they spent apart. The scenes of the two together is well written and hot!
The relationship with the parents is important for both brothers but especially so for Adam as he still lives and works with them. This adds so much more to his stress of the situation and thinking everything through so much.
I loved the story and how well it was written. All of the characters and the setting, it all draws you in and keeps you engaged throughout.
I'd definitely recommend reading this book and look forward to the authors next book.
I received an ARC and am happily giving a review

Luc and Adam became stepbrothers as children, and when they were young teens, Luc realized that he was in love with Adam. He handled his realization badly and cruelly pushed Adam away for years. Now, Luc has come home for a short time to try to help save the family's failing dance studio, which is run by Adam and their parents. Luc's feelings for his stepbrother haven't changed, and he ends up telling Adam the truth during a heated confrontation. The story has moments that are very angsty and emotional, but it is also full of friendship, love, and steamy intimacy. I adore determined Luc and conflicted Adam, as well as their supportive friends Mason and Adrianna. The men's tense meeting with their parents made my stomach hurt, as did a few other painful scenes. The author did a great job in showing Adam's absolute love of dance and family, as well as Luc's complete devotion to Adam. This book is great, and I hope to read more about these characters - especially sweet Mason! - in the future.

A Dance For Two by Colette Davison is the story of two step brothers who fall in love.

Growing up, Adam and Luc were close... until one day Luc started to back off and left Adam wondering what happened to take his step brother from best friend to bully. It's a betrayal that still stings years later when Luc comes back home to help their parents out at their family dance studio.

Eventually Adam finds out the reason why Adam had to back away and eventually leave - he is in love with him, always has been and still am. Will the truth set them free and heal their scars or will it tear their family apart forever?

This story is very interesting and entertaining. Heartbreaking, emotional, passionate and a good dose of angst, the story will have you engrossed, feeling raw emotions. The characters of Luc and Adam are perfect together. Their journey together to mend their past hurts and find a Happily Ever After captivates and leaves you satisfied.

I received an advanced reader's copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review and recommendation.

There are a lot of things that I like about this book but I also found it difficult and uncomfortable to read at times. The continual reminders that Luc and Adam are stepbrothers especially during intimate moments between them are unnecessary and even a bit weird. It is disconcerting to find out more than halfway through the book that they have lived as brothers since they were very young children. Luc having romantic feelings towards Adam since he was fourteen also came across as a bit creepy. But these issues aside, I really like Luc and Adam and how they deal with the impossible situation they find themselves in. The fear of their parent's reaction to their relationship forces them to be secretive and that alone could break them apart if they let it. I love how they support and encourage each other even when their problems seem to be insurmountable. Most of the secondary characters are wonderful and the ending is great. Mason is awesome and I hope he gets his own book.

Passionate, heartbreaking, soul mending, reach for your dreams kind of story. I really loved the writing and the character development was amazing. There is some angst in this story, however it felt authentic to me as each person deals with working their way through the emotions of the step-brothers having a boyfriend relationship. Each significant person is given a voice in this story and i loved that care was given to each person.

Luc and Adam are really amazing together and i loved that they really help each other reach their dreams. I like that Luc is sure of himself and his love for Adam and i found it reassuring that he is a caring but passionate person. Adam learning to reach for his dreams was inspiring and his confusion as he works his way toward understanding his feelings is real.

I really enjoy this authors work and this book is a beautiful addition. I definitely recommend this for your reading enjoyment!

This is my first book from Colette Davison and it was emotional and satisfying. Luc works way too hard and it's obvious that he doesn't have a life. When his mom calls and explains the problems they are having with their dance studio and asks for his help, Luc has to swallow his feelings for his stepbrother Adam and head home to help his family.

Luc discovered his feelings for Adam at a young age and distanced himself, choosing to keep his feelings to himself. And by doing that, by the time Luc went to college and then got his first job, the distance between the two men was huge.

I enjoyed the dual POV from the two men, and while your heart ached for both of them, you understood Adam's hesitation and Luc's past decisions. As they work on their relationship, they both learn to follow their dreams and to be honest with each other. It's a sweet, emotional ride and I enjoyed getting to know Luc and Adam.

A new Author for me, and I thought why not, I loved this book.
Despite the Step-brothers thing it has going on, It means nothing they are two guys in love as Adam comes to terms with his past. Why did Luc treat him so badly? Why did He leave? and more importantly why he couldnt treat Luc with the respect a step-brother should. He disliked him for the way he had walked out on the family, not ever realising why.
After a failed night out, and questions the next morning Adam wants the truth. Of why Luc left.
After Luc tells him the reasons, Adam he cant get him out of his mind. Adam realises Luc isn't the only one with feelings he shouldn't have, or feels he shouldn't have..
I loved the Dynamics the story, It could have been a corny rendition of step-brother love and it wasn't. It was beautifully written Luc Pushes Adam to follow his Dreams.
I would love to catch up with these two in Masons story, if he has one.
