union of many to fight the dark

man, elf, dragon, magic , all gather together to fight the dark forces of necromancy and the dead forces created by it. from one confused young man, led by a voice in his head, the dead arise and join the ancient evil that the three worlds thought controlled. discontent is sowed and war damns them all. only one thing can save them and that might need the faith of many to make it happen.

I thoroughly enjoyed this! the characters were well planned. bit of confusion over the names occasionally, but i caught on. now I must but the prequel and sequel! a must read!!!

I'd like to give it a 4.5 star but thats not an option, and 4star seems to be a negative rating these days.
A gripping and fantastic epic fantasy series, with loads of distinct and unqiue characters and a quick-paced plot. Fun new author, there's a few hiccups with writing and pacing here and there, but overall its great stuff, indie authors are the future and its high-time a guy like Lee Haywood gets the recognition he deserves.

I'd love to see this trilogy translated into a tv series one day, although i have no faith in western tv studios to do it justice after the last few abominations of great works i've seen released.

A New Classic

I'm no fortune teller, but this series just might become a classic. :-)
The characters are realistic, as is the difference in how they are perceived based on who's point of view you are reading from.
The setting is intriguing and detailed, and kind of makes me want to know more.

Interesting story

Some might say I'm nuts but one man's tyrant is another's hero. The necromancer probably went about it wrong but had he said no to the wyrm he would be dead, and if he had took one city at a time he would have been the hero.

It was a good read , not great just good. If it had been good it wouldn't have taken me so long to finish it. It just didn't catch my attention.

Interesting slow burner

The pace of the story skipped through passages of must read through to really slow. Overall an enjoyable fantasy read

A tale to hold your interest.

I did enjoy the story. My major difficulty was keeping track of who was who and geography of their world. Luckily, there are maps and a glossary that helped identify places and people. The story is a well written and held my interest.

Remarkable

I must say Lee Haywood is a masterful storyteller. This book takes you on such a journey with so many twists and turns that you will not want to put this book down. It has lots of drama and action and a story that reveals itself as you go along. This is the kind of book that deserves to be a mini series on TV. I cannot say enough how much I enjoyed this book. I wholeheartedly recommend it to everybody. I can't wait to read more by this author

Not bad

Could have been much better if the author had not misused so many archaic words in an attempt to legitimise the work
