Ali Ali is a beautiful young woman, but she’s also a party girl who’s always up for a good time. Of all the witches in her coven, she is the wildest. Ali was there to help her friends solve a 150-year-old mystery and stop an impending clash between vampires and werewolves. She was looking for a good time until she bumped into him.
Anatolie He cut himself off from his human emotions, and let his heart go dark. Anatolie couldn’t imagine cursing a person to live the vampire life. He wants to help Ali and her friends stop the immortal war, but he is bound to his maker. The control of his maker has Anatolie feeling like a prisoner. He desperately wants to be set free. He is immortal, but he misses the basic freedoms and feelings that humans take for granted.
Solomon is an ancient, immortal creature who wants to claim the mystical powers of the Carpathian Mountains for himself. He tried to accomplish this feat a hundred years ago, and he was stopped by a mysterious artifact, the covenant. I received a free copy of this book from the author. I had the opportunity to review or not.
Since vampires can be good neighbors for over 200 years, and fall in love with human witches, I am forced to look at them in a different light (so to speak). Ms. Vang’s tale of Vampires, werewolves, witches and humans was a delightful read. Loaded with humor and danger it added a dimension not often seen.
An evil vampire, Solomon, arrives in a small town determined to find a secret hidden for over one hundred years. Solving the mystery will allow him to have control over the entire world. A situation Solomon desperately desires. He has waited all these years to take control. However, there are those who will do whatever it takes to prevent him from achieving his goal. Anatolie, a vampire; Ali, a witch; Martha, a werewolf; and a diverse group of friends.
The group converge on a castle just outside the town border where a war will take place. This war will determine the outcome for all of mankind. Pray, readers, Pray!
Wow! I love the whole concept of this book. I am ready for part two. There is so much going on in this book. Is there such a thing as a good vampire? I didn’t think I would ever use the words “handsome, caring, sexy and lovable vampire” in a sentence. This book is amazing. I’ve only read about 10 paranormal books, but I think this one might be my favorite. There are a few parts that will have you laughing out loud. And then there are other parts that will have you crying or saying oh no. The dialogue is excellent. It’s dark, but not too heavy. I love the lighthearted banter between Anatolie and Solomon, and Anatolie and Ali. What a phenomenal read. Best line in the book? “I think you can like a guy on social media and still kill him.” Ha ha ha ha. LOVED IT!
I love this book and I like the story too. This book is about Ali and Anatolia whom falling love in with each other. Ali is a beautiful witch and Anatolia is a Vampire.
Ale is always up for good time witch and she come to Carpathian mountains with her Coven to help solve a 150 year mystery. Also to stop a War Clash between Vampire and Werewolves. Anatolia where to stop her and Coven get in way stop the war that is come but he falling love with Ali. This book is Wonderful and I enjoy this book too. I would recommend this book to all of my friends and family to read and buy. B Grimes
I am fascinated by stories of the Carpathian mountains, so I was extremely excited by this book. The characters are so cool. The characters are so complex and the story so involved that it is an enthralling story. Three young witches are stuck trying to figure out just who to trust while trying to stay alive. Ali and Anatolie do not like each other. I was amazed and impressed with the way Ali responded to Anatolie's kidnapping and injury. I don't think I could have been so collected in that situation. This story is outstanding. If you like witches, werewolves and vampires this is a book you should check out.
A lot happening in this paranormal world. It has potential.
I think maybe if I'd read the prior book, The Prophecy, I might have enjoyed this book more. It's an intriguing plot...plucky witches teaming up with some rogue vampires and the werewolves to help stop the big bad. It felt a bit disjointed and having not read The Prophecy may have added to my difficulty. Once I got going I enjoyed it more. It's a good start. I assume we'll get a book next for Carrie. I received this book in exchange for my honest review.
I received this book free from the author as part of the ARC team. This is my honest review. Although not a genre I usually read, I enjoyed this book. I was intrigued by the mystery and the romance. The characters are strong. The dialogue plausible for the genre. I could be happier without the swearing & sex. I believe that young adults would probably enjoy this book more than others, but keep an open mind. Recommended.
I received this book as an ARC for leaving my honest review. This book has vampires, (and I love me some vampires), witches and werewolves. The whole trifecta. I enjoyed the banter between the three witches who are best friends. There are many twist and turns along the way. I found some parts to be just a bit slow but not too bad. I loved the mystery. The characters are strong and well written. Looking forward to the next book.
I loved this book couldn’t put it down the love of a witch Ali and a vampire Antolie was absolutely beautiful there struggles to stay together after a an elder vampire Solomon tries to control Antolie to his bidding loved the story line I just hope that Carrie finds true love ❤️ other than that loved the book Avin!!!!!! Loved it all you paranormal romance nerds out there read The Carpathian Curse!!!!
Very exciting story I received this book from the author as an ARC for leaving my honest review: I could not put the book down, finished it in one day. Vampires, witches, werewolves, magic, intrigue, adventure and throw in some steamy romance. It was a great story with relatable characters and scenes described in detail. Can't wait for the next story.
What a delightful read! I love reading paranormal romance, but I am very picky. If a book does catch my interest in the first couple of chapters them I'm done, this book however, caught my interest and kept in the first few paragraphs and kept it until the end!!! I absolutely loved it! Avin is a remarkable author and I can't wait to read the next story!
This whole book dragged and scenes jumped all over the place. There was one scene where the main vampire character woke up without his girlfriend (oooh she's in terrible danger)...and he stops to wash a cup she left in the sink and then races out the door...yeah it really doesn't get any better either. Sorry I can't recommend this..at all.
Gifted for an honest opinion; certainly did not disappoint. This is the first time reading Avin's work and it had everything I look for. I recommend curling up on a cold winter's day with a blanket and warm drink and losing yourself in this book. Look forward to reading some more.
This is my honest and unbias opinion of the story. I loved reading this book it has a witch and werewolves and other wonderful things threw the whole story. I fell in love with the story and strong characters as it all unfolded. I am glad I got this book cause it was an awesome read I loved it.
I enjoyed this book the twists and turns humor, romance and adventure. It kept you reading and wanting more, the story line is good the characters a joy.Witches, vampires and werewolves oh my ... a must read I look forward to reading more from this author.
I really enjoyed this delightful and funny Paranormal Read. The storyline is well-written, funny, intriguing and will captivate the reader. The characters are developed and engaging. I voluntarily read an ARC and this is my honest review.
Well I didn't really like the female witch basically a drunken mess. Making everyone around her miserable. This Carpathian novel was full length and part of a series. Tended to put down and read again, no urgency to finish. Lots of sex scenes.
I loved this book. It was magical, with werewolves, vampires, witches and curses. Some love was added to the mix and some romance. It was a great read and it was well written. Looking forward to reading the next chapter to this series. I received a complimentary ARC and this is my honest review.
I enjoyed this book and the fantastic story. It was exciting and had very good characters. The Ravens were weird but fascinating at the same time. I wasn't too keen on the sexy bits, but other readers will probably like them. I look forward to reading more in this series.
An Awesome story! The characters were funny and charismatic. I love being pulled into my books. It makes my life that much richer. Check her out! I don't believe you'll be disappointed!
I felt this story could have been organized a lot better. It needed depth and emotional content to its characters. I felt that the dramatic scenes needed more work. Somehow it left me with the thought it could have been better.
I enjoyed the book immensely, the banter was comical at times. Some of the storyline was a little far fetched but when it comes to vampires and werewolves anything goes. So much happening that had to wonder what was going to happen next. Looking forward to more.
Another great book by Avian Vang. I loved this book just as much as the first one. Both are so different but somewhat the same as far a love goes for the girls. It's different because of everything that leads up to what happens. I don't want to say to much but you would love it. A must read.
Great story about paranormal characters. Descriptions of scenes and characters are very well written I felt like I was there. Loved all the twists and turns and the great ending.
the story line was good. lots of twists and turns, suspense and steamy romance, but it definitely was in need of a good editor. good length ( you can read in one sitting)
