Just wasn’t as good 35 years later for the second read. Laughed out loud the first time a lot of times. Not once the second time. Perhaps remembering the main character well, subtracted from some of the comic shock of coming unknowing to meet the guy!

It was unique and entertaining but I don't get why so many see it as their #1 favorite of all time.
