For the King

Rate this book
Willow. Flower shop owner and commoner.

I was her king, a ruthless and brutal ruler who didn’t back down.
And from the moment I saw her, I knew she was mine. I had to have her, not just in my bed but also by my side. As my queen.

So I had her taken from her home and made a deal with her. I’d make sure her ailing mother was taken care of and pay off her debts if she agreed to one thing.

Be my wife and carry my heir.

What I wanted I got, and the only thing that I wanted more than all the riches and jewels in the world was her. Willow.

Warning: Get your fancy clothes on—or off depending on how you roll—and get ready to dive into one hell of a royal love story. It’s got everything that presses your book buttons: a safe read that’s swoony, filthy, and delivers a HEA. It’s true what they say about this king ... he does always get what he wants.

This is a very short enjoyable read. If you want a feel good story with no drama at all, this one may be for you.

It's about Victor and Willow.

He's a king and she's a commoner who owns a flower shop making ends meet to support her sick mom and herself.

He's been watching her for a year before he propositioned her to marry him and carry his heir.

It has lovely epilogues.

"Never judge a book by its cover" is one of my mottos, but this book made me question it. Yeah, it was that disappointing.

This is an erotica book and I didn't expect to find a literature masterpiece when I decided to read it, but come on, give me at least likeable characters. The self-centered "hero" wore the crown all the time. All. The. Time! And the idiotic "heroine" thought it wasn't weird at all because he was used to it, having worn it since childhood. Really? Either it was an "elastic" crown that would accommodate his growing up or he was born with an adult-sized head, in which case I can only feel sorry for his mother. Yikes!

I've been wanting to read something with royalty/ castle vibes for so long now- and this one was on my tbr so I decided to finally read it (we will not be speaking about the cover 💀).

This overall was a very simple read- It was really vague, and I didn't really like the beginning- but the ending was SO SWEET. It was a very short, and simple book (maybe a bit too much at times), but there were some cute scenes in the end.

I know I'm going to forget everything about this book, but it was just some low-commitment fun 😭.

Anyways, I'm going to try and find some more royalty romances 😋.

For The King unde Jenika Snow

I have read a ton of Snow over the years but only reviewed a few. These are my guilty pleasure when I want something good and fast. Snow has gotten this format finely tuned and her books don’t disappoint. It maybe a little OTT but Snow knows what readers want and you can’t go passed that. So settle down for a fast hot read that you definitely won’t forget in a hurry.
Even use a little imagination and discover how exactly the King met his Queen and convinced her, she was his whether he knew it or not . This King nows how to entertain and ready to be your next book boyfriend.

This book was way too short. Plus, the H would go on and on about "I'm going to do this to you" and "tell me you want me to..."

This was another great short novella by Jenika Snow :) I loved that it was about a King, Victor, who wants to finally claim a wife and he has had his eyes on his future wife, a commoner, Willow, for the past year and is very determined to get her to become his wife, his queen, the mother of his children, just plain his ;)

To some people, it may seem manipulative the way that Victor does it but when you guys read Willow's perspective, you'll see it's no hardship at all to become his ;) You see, she's had a crush on him since he was a prince and now she can't believe that he propositioned her to become his wife, his queen and the mother of his children in exchange of helping her mother be given the correct treatment with his royal doctors into making her better... didn't worry guys, Victor is not a cruel man, but a determined one and he proves it by telling Willow that regardless of her answer, he will provide her mother medical help but he will keep pursuing her until she agrees to be his ;) So for me, Victor as a king, he's good in my eyes :)

They had great chemistry too ;)
This short novella had a bit of everything and what I loved the most was the epilogues, yes we get two! I especially loved the second best :) <3 It was beautiful and I loved Victor and his Willow's happily ever after <3 <3

I have always loved Jenika’s books. But they are way, way too short. This book is no exception. Soooo short. And it ends at 82%. Zero character development. Extremely disappointed. Please, please start writing longer books.

If you don't like instant love and dirty talking men, you should just skip this book. Vincent is the King and after years of playing the field, he sees Willow and knows SHE is the one for him. He will do whatever it takes to get her to be his wife and bear his children. Will it work? Willow is just trying to get by and make a living for her mother and herself. When she is told the King wants to meet her, she don't know what is happening. Yes, she's had a crush on him but she's just a lowly girl working her flower stand. Will she agree to his demands? And what about love? Where does that figure in to all of this. This is an over the top, dirty talking, instant love kind of story and some days I need that! If you like this type of story, get this book!

King Vincent became enamored for Willow from the first time he saw her a year ago, in the market, behind her flower stall.
He needed an heir, but most of all, he wanted to love and be loved.
Would Willow accept the great responsibility of being his queen?

Willow worked at her mother's flower shop.
Without faltering, she worked to take care of her mother's fragile health.
When she receives the order to go to the royal palace, and hears the king's proposal, Willow is frightened that she has been chosen from so many other candidates better than herself.
Would Willow accept to be the queen of King Vincent's heart?

Victor and Willow are what happily ever afters were born to be and lets us know just what happens after the … at the end of the tale 😘 The beautiful smiling Willow that runs her family flower shop would appear to the world a beacon of happiness. Her kindness and grace never faults even as she carries her heavy burden. With an ailing mother to provide for and insurance companies to battle she is soul weary. King Victor knows all and sees all of Willow’s struggles. He's watched from afar for a year waiting patiently to have his kingdom in order before he could lay it at her feet. He wants to offer her his fidelity, heart, and hand and will stop at nothing to make Willow his.

I voluntarily read an advance reader copy of this book.

King Victor has decided Willow is going to be his queen and nothing will stop him from having her. This is a fantastic quick moving and sexy story of a King who decides a commoner will be his and only his forever. Willow is shy and unsure but Victor makes sure she knows how he feels about her and that he knows she is meant to be his Queen and the mother to his heir. With this knowledge Willow flourishes in a short time and becomes the woman Victor wants and needs in and out of the bedroom. If you want a fast very sexy read pick this one up!

For the King was a super quick read. Willow is swept off her feet by the King who has desired her for quite a while and having been crushing on him for just as long, he made an offer she couldn’t refuse.

Quick and sexy, this story offers a sensual nibble for that quick read fix. I would have like a bit more of a plot/story between King Victor and Willow...but it works for filling in a few moment of reading when you don’t have enough time on hand to devote to a full length novel.

Even though I'm all Royaled out with all these Royal romances, I had to read this one. I love Jenika's work and this one was really good. The characters were fun and enjoyable and it was a really short and hot read. If you love the Royal romances, do not pass this one up. Especially if you are a fan of Jenika. You won't be disappointed.

Superbly hot, dirty with some filthy sexy story and I enjoyed every dirty word.
King Vincent was well known for his brutish, arrogant and demanding behavior.
King Vincent has wanted Willow since he first saw her a year ago in the market. Now he has decided that it is time to take action and make her his Queen.
Willow has a flower shop, where she sells fresh cut flowers in the village center, to help provide the meds for her mother. But right now she is wondering why the King has summons her.
