Such a good read! This is not your typical self-help book, where you need to read each chapter to build on what you've learned before. You're welcome to dip in and out, going through just the sections or hacks that interest you - that said, I read them all!

There's no obligation to try anything and no guarantee that any of the hacks will work for you - this is a personal process, where you're encouraged to take your time and experiment with what appeals to you. That could be any of the 120 hacks offered, from playing around with the effect of different colours, scents and sounds in your own home; or more formal therapy types.

I don't have an anxiety disorder myself but have certainly experienced anxiety at times and will try a few of the clever tricks listed next time.

Disclaimer: The author is a former school friend, which makes the book all the more impressive to me. It's not a far-removed professor, but a real-life person who has taken the time to put together hacks from her own experience to make living with anxiety that little bit easier.

Highly recommended!

Not being a full anxiety suffer I realized, after reading this book, that there have been times where I have experienced anxiety to some level. These, easy to read and reference, tips would have helped me in those times and certainly will help me in the future.

I just love that I can get to the tips I need easily and the way they are written made me feel like she was talking directly to me and what I have been through. I was also surprised to learn that there are ways to deal with anxiety that I would never have thought of.

I highly recommend this book as a fresh and easy to understand way to handle situations that cause anxiety.

This is a really handy book for anxiety sufferers

This is a really good book for anxiety sufferers. It offers great tips in a concise and interesting format. There is so much advice out there that it is sometimes to difficult to filter the information to find something that works for you. This book has done the research for you and is so easy to dip into so you can find the tips that work for you without becoming overwhelmed. I would thoroughly recommend this to all anxiety sufferers.

What a refreshing read! I really love Mel's down-to-earth practical approach. This book is like a DIY for Anxiety from someone who has actually done the work! As a long-time Anxiety sufferer, I can attest to these "hacks" as being truly helpful towards managing what is a debilitating and lifelong unwanted companion. Definitely a book for your handbag, backpack or coat pocket, an immediate go-to when the feels become overwhelming.
