Equally infamous for their light fingers as for their terrible turns of phrase, Dumplings are legendary thieves with a reputation for being the worst sort of the kind who don’t get caught. Lately, however, the master thieves are in short supply and Dumpling, known only by her tarnished surname, is the last.

Seeking to break free of her unsavory reputation and redeem her family name, the only honorable Dumpling takes on a job to free the sister of the mysterious Hawthorne and the brother of the elvish diplomat known as Sprout.

Knowing it will take all her skill to outwit the elemental mastermind behind their disappearance, Dumpling embarks on an adventure that will test her resolve and lead her into the heart of an ancient mystery… one linked to the fate of her missing father.

When an author can unexpectedly bring tears to my eyes during a passage, and has me reach for my journal to write down not one, but two, profoundly relevant statements made by characters in her book, a five star rating is warranted. Well written, visually inspiring, true-to-life fantasy. I'm glad I had the chance to meet local author Andrea Boyette in person, too. PS Loved the elvish wedding ceremony ...

A fun fantasy novel with humans and elves. Great adventure with plenty of suspense to keep you going.

Noble is an ambitious story. A Baggins-eske thief with pure motives finds herself involved in a plot bigger than anyone expected. The characters are interesting if sometimes puzzling. The major weakness in the book IMO is that many of the major plot events weren't properly set up. Sometimes I was left guessing what was going on and other times I felt like there was too much revealed. Coming from a mostly DIY type publisher the author has done a great job, but this could be an awesome story with a really good (high level) editor to clean that up.
