Held by forces they didn't foresee, Kaitlyn and her friends must try to hold onto their humanity whilst battling for their freedom. We are Caroline Peckham and Susanne Valenti, sisters and best selling co-authors of all things dark romance - fantasy and contemporary, M/F and RHs, there’s something for everyone, as long as you love characters who will break your heart, stomp on it and laugh over the pieces before putting them all back together in the end. We live in the South East of England, kinda near London but far enough out to be able to look at fields all wistfully and shit if the mood takes us. We work together from our countryside office through the week, writing down most of the madness that exists in our heads on paper, so that you can come and escape to our imaginary worlds for a little bit too. We don’t shy away from twisted cliffhangers, and love an Alpha asshole, but our leading women are of the badass, take no shit lying down variety, so it’s always a rollercoaster of a ride. We can’t wait for you to buckle up with us!
this was unfortunately predictable at points which is the only reason i knocked it down to 4⭐️s because at other times, i had absolutely no idea what to expect. i definitely seem a redemption arc coming in the final book of this series and hope i’m right about that. some of these characters are just so lovable and i can’t wait to find out how baba will be affected by everything happening and all the chaos surrounding the group
Another slow story. One I feel like I've read before. I swear there is another book I read about some cult called The New Day that a different girl had to escape from. Maybe from a farm house? I don't know. I keep thinking of The 5th Wave but I know that isn't right. Anyway, I'm glad there is only one book left. While I'm curious enough to keep reading, I'm ready to finish this story and be done with it.
I feel like I've waited forever to read this book, I've been wanting to know what was going to happen since I finished book 2. This book was non-stop action and I could not put it down, I read it in 1 day!! I hope book 4 comes out very very soon!
Linc and Katy forever. One of my favorite couples. I loved Demi's character development. I used to not be able to stand her chapters, but now I look forward to them. Tara held on as long as she could and she was still able to save all of them. Davos capturing, turning Katy in, and then defending her? Ugh. Loved it. I'm here for it. Just pleasd don't end Katy and Linc for the love of everything. Sullivan is gone...but is he? I cannot wait to find out what Advanced has in store for me.

Wow! Full of action and surprises! This is the 3rd book in the Tainted Earth Series. I can't wait to see what happens next! I am enjoying this series very much!!!
This book picks up right where the last one ended and Altered (book 2) ended with a serious cliffhanger on the cusp of action. So for a moment I had to sort out my brain and remember where we were and what was going on but this book wastes no time carrying on!
Now as for the plot…in Afflicted this group of teens and marines tries to get to Haven’s gates before they close, in Altered they race towards a secured town called Franklin, and in Adapted we see what unravels as they cross Franklin’s borders. What was supposed to be a promise land of security from the raging earth and its creatures turns out to be, well, quite well protected actually, but what they didn’t count on was it being overtaken by a cult. And unfortunately once within their sights they don’t give anyone the option to leave.
Adapted pulls the gang off their constant run for survival and lulls them with safety but the darkness that lurks beneath such comforts may come at too high a cost. High-paced and wild this dystopian sequel doesn't pull any punches as it traps all with its promise of freedom.
