Gone is a sci-fi mystery comic, about the AssistA robot, who wakes on board a vessel that should be home to thousands of crew, but is, in fact, desolate. Confused and alone, the AssistA sets off to find out where everyone has gone to. Along the way he starts receiving interference in the forms of memories from one of the crew members, from before everyone disappeared. But can AssistA trust these memories, and is it, in fact, as alone as it thinks it is?
This charming little graphic novel is beautifully drawn. I really enjoyed the slow reveals throughout the story. I'm glad I decided to back this one on Kickstarter!
A poignant tale of a lonely robot coming to terms with its own existence and the fate of mankinds. Artwork is stunning, and the writing tugs on the heartstrings.
I really enjoyed this speculative sci-fi story and the twists and turns. The art is wonderfully effective, adding to the emotional drive of the story.
My only criticism is that it could possibly do with one more chapter. It feels like there is a lot shoved into the final third, which changed the pacing quite a bit, which might have worked better if it had another chapter to grow.
For scifi, spec fic and dystopian future fans this is definitely worth a read!
