What would you do if you learned everyone you loved had been lying to you?
Nikira Ward has sought the truth for four long years. After waking from the coma brought on by her house exploding, she tells her doctors what she saw – a man with black wings dancing in the fire. When they told her she couldn’t possibly have seen a demon, Kira did the only thing she could: she immersed herself in all things good and evil. Angels and demons. Heaven and Hell.
Just before her eighteenth birthday, the only person left in Kira's life – her grandmother, the Oracle – falls ill, and once again, her life is rocked off its axis. But this time she’s not alone. When a fat cat, a Nephilim, and a handful of Guardians come to her rescue, Nikira learns who she really is and what powers the Creator has bestowed upon her – the Seeker.
Join Kira and the men who’ve vowed to protect her as they follow the clues only she can see on a quest to find her sister, Rhen, rescue the Oracle, and uncover the hands of evil.
Just as good as the first! I love this book the characters are all strong and fantastic I thought I love Rhens character after reading book 1 but her sister Kira really came in to her own in this book and I think I love her more. I really did get lost in this book from beginning to end I loved every bit and I’m now patiently wait on the 3rd. Definitely a 5 start book for me and have recommended it to friends and family.
Brilliant sequel to Oracle. Being able to see the world through Kira's eyes and her devastation of losing Rhen. Seeing the life choices she made going forward from that fateful day in Rhen's bedroom when everything fell apart for Kira. Now we get to see Kira deal with the paranormal world. :D
I absolutely loved this book from the first word to the last. The characters are amazing and the interaction between them really grabs your heart. I love all of the twists and turns the story line takes. Sit back, clear your schedule, and enjoy it as much as I did.
Nearly as good as the first book. Though I grabbed the book after seeing it was the second in a two book series and was disappointed on hitting the last page to find a bunch of cliffhangers and another book being written at some point in the future. I hate reading series that are not yet complete.
Seeker ( The Guardian of the Truth book 2) by Andi Copeland picks up with Nikira Ward. She wakes up remembering seeing her sister killing herself with a dagger and a naked man with black wings when her house is destroyed by an explosion. Rhen is dead. Her mom is MIA. The father has dropped her off with the grandmother who is rather moody. Despite what she saw Kira has to keep it to herself. Trying to deal with what she saw and no one believing her, she has set out to learn what she can about Angels and Demons. Right before her 18 birthday her grandmother falls ill. She ends up learning about who she is and her destiny. Trying to grapple with what she has learned, the development of her gifts and finding a cure for her grandmother, she than learns Rhen is alive and in trouble. A fabulous continuation of the first book. So many twist and turns. There are revelations, secrets, deceptions and lies. Some questions were answered while others remain. I am so looking forward to the next book. I love all the characters and I am curious as to what the end will mean for them. A real cliffhanger. I give this book 4.5 stars
