Knowing that David Lawrence Jr. exists in the world fills me with hope for humanity. I'd like to thank him for all he's done for our newspaper, our community, and our children. And I appreciate him for speaking about us (Cuban-Americans) with the upmost respect and understanding. Thank you for seeing us.

Author David Lawrence Jr. is a champion for early childhood education. Throughout his life's experience, he reached religious and political dignitaries regardless of their ideology. His book, "A Dedicated Life" illustrates his mission to serve the public as a journalist, fighter for justice and opportunities for all children. I recommend this book for anyone interest in his life's work.

Mr. David Lawerence is a true example of being the change one hopes to see in the world. Never judge a book by itself cover. Mr. Lawerence was very relatable. He brought his vision for all children just as he wanted for his own. He never gave up and kept on the good fight. He continues to live by his morals and principles. A true champion.

Instructions on how to make a difference

Quite the career and life that David has. It took a while to get to the core messages I hoped to gain by reading this book. Dave parted his wisdom in a well-crafted story that ultimately made me want to re-read it again in the same vein as another classic, How to win friends and influence people, does.

I really respect this man and what he has done for our South Florida community. That said, I have never really liked autobiography. Most are too one sided and present an individual without the flaws that make them human.
