I love these two authors. Cassandra and Kendall bring out the best of each other it seems.

Katie and Trent meet at a masquerade ball that Trent is holding and Katie is catering. When Trent sees Katie across the dance floor he immediately goes dancing with her. Things get out of hand and they end up in bed together.

Two months later and they haven't seen each other. But not for lack of trying. These two did just about everything to find each other but others were determined to keep them apart.

I loved this story and can't wait to see what else these two come up with.

I’ve tried

I’ve tried to give these books a better review. I’ve even read three of them hoping that they would get better but no they didn’t. Not only were they so out of the realm of reality the authors couldn’t keep their lines straight. For example one line would be she had her panties down..... next page he’s watching he using her panties to her her get her self off...... next he’s telling her to take them off. They’re all virgins that turn to sluts doing anything and everything within seconds of meeting someone that’s old enough to be their father. In one book the girl was 18 next she was 19. The guy was 45 his mother was young and beautiful but had him at 40, makes her 85! I’m sorry someone 85 doesn’t run around like someone in their 40, 50 or even 60,s. Sorry just very dissatisfied with these books I just couldn’t bring myself to read number 4. I’ve tried

Katie's a party planner and very good at her job. However this last party was getting on her last nerve. Trent's assistant was driving her nuts but this was a major party and could give her even more business so she tried to ignored how the woman made her feel. Blending into the back ground is something she is used to doing at parties but when a mystery man pulls her onto the dance floor she decides to enjoy herself a little. Trent was intrigued by this gorgeous woman in front of him and is happy to learn that she is a temporary employee for him so he can give into temptation with her. When Katie learns she's dancing with her boss it surprises her but she goes with it. As he leads her towards the stairs she stops because she is supposed to be watching the party but he takes care of even that. They have an amazing night and she hopes he'll call but then nothing after months of waiting so she moves on at least until she learns she's pregnant with his child. Trent can't understand why Katie isn't answering his calls he thought they connected but the frustration so too much so he tries to move on. Months later they run into each other but Katie wants nothing to do with Trent will he be able to get her to talk to him? Will Katie tell him about the baby? Will they figure out someone is against them being together?


This was a great story once I started it I couldn't put it down. The chemistry between Trent and Katie just about melted my kindle. This is a very entertaining and well written story. I would recommend this to any book lover.

Katie has her own business as a party planner and was hired to do a masked ball for billionaire Trent Moore.The night of the ball Trent sees the most beautiful woman and he has to meet her. He goes up to her and takes her out on the dance floor and they start dancing. When it's over they start talking and he takes off his mask. Katie realizes who he is. he learns she is the party planner and tells her he wants to sleep with her to come to his room. They spend one night together and they fell in love. But another source is working against them and does everything to keep them apart and gives Trent the wrong number for Katie and when she doesn't return any of his calls he thinks she doesn't want to see him. After 2 months he gives up but doesn't forget about her, he loves her. Katie waited 2 months for Trent to call and then she learns she is pregnant and calls his office several times and even goes to his house with no luck. Nobody will let her talk to him they just tell her they will leave him a message. When she never hears form him Kaitie thinks he had her black balled and doesn't want to see her. What happens when they meet again. Will they learn that they both tried to call each other but someone was purposely sabotaging their attempts. This is a real quick read. It is written well with well rounded characters and a great plot. I recommend this book. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

A really good, fast reading story...and some extra if you choose to read on...Pregnant By My Boss is a cute, fast paced story that can easily be read in an hour or so. The characters are well developed and easily relateable. I enjoyed the quick pace of the writing and the way the plot moved so smoothly and with depth of emotion and interest. The story was interesting with both sexy and emotional parts, which increased the interest level for me. It was a very enjoyable read, I hated Amanda but loved Katie and Trent, but that was as it should be. I can totally see this story expanded into a longer novel, but it totally works as a novella as it stands right now. Some reviewers were hating on the bundling part of the book, which is ludicrous, since the book only cost 0.99 and in quality of writing, it was worth much more. Yes there are books attached to the end of this one, you don't have to read them if you don't want to, so why get all upset over them? To be real though, I did read the collection that came after the title book, and they were interesting, enjoyable and fun to read as well. Based on previous reviews I wasn't sure that I'd like them, but I did, they were good and an added bonus to an already great reading experience. I enjoyed this quick read, and the compilation of books that followed, I'm sure you will too!

Katie's company planned the Masquerade Party held at Trent's city mansion, that was how they met and ended up having an explosive sexual encounter together before she left the next morning leaving Trent wanting more than one night with her. When his secretary ensured that they would not hear from each other again, Trent accepted that what they had together was just a one night until months later when he sees her again at another of his parties. There was something different about her this time round but his attraction to her was as strong as ever and when his secretary admitted she kept them apart all he wanted was to keep her by his side. Katie had a secret that she had tried to tell him about and when he learned that she had become pregnant after their one night it seemed fated that they would be together forever. This was a short sexy story, full of drama and lost love. The storyline was well planned and the characters drawn with depth and understanding. A book I am sure you will enjoy reading

Overall, I enjoyed the book, but I have to admit that the drawbacks outweighed the benefits.

Pro's
The sex scene was very good and detailed.
I found the playful banter between the main characters absolutely hilarious!

Cons
It’s important to clarify that he is not her boss. The title is quite misleading and may confuse readers. It seems to imply a hierarchy that doesn’t exist, which can really skew our understanding of the relationship.
After a year of silence, there has been a lack of communication between the mains. There was some conversation, but nothing significant.
Amanda's punishment fell short of its intended impact on me.
It was also too short as well.


Pro and a Con section
Trent’s reaction upon discovering that he is a father is positive; his emotions align with what I would expect. However, he exhibits a bit of a bad boy persona when they have sex again. I would imagine that a typical bad boy would say something like, "Get off the birth control; I want to knock you up again because I love you," or something along those lines. Instead, that scene didn’t include anything of that sort.

Overall, I gave it three stars.

What a great book from Cassandra Dee and Kendall Blake! This is a short and sweet instalove book but it is slightly different than most of their previous books. Normally its about sex, sex and more sex, the dirtier the better, and there isn't one single thing wrong with that! But this one has a bit more depth, emotion, and even some pining (and you won't believe who from). And don't worry! There is still still that filthy, dirty sex we all know and love from these ladies. There is Katie, who runs a successful party planning business. She knows her stuff. Then there is Trent who is a successful billionaire. He see Katie from across the room and is taken by her. When he learns she is the party planner he is happy to learn she is not an employee as he wants her, more than he realizes. After a great night together, Trent's assistant keeps Katie away from Trent by blacklisting him at home and at work and gives Trent the wrong number to reach Katie. Will her actions lead to disaster? They both try to reach each other but to no avail. Katie has some big news to tell Trent and can't believe she can't reach him. When they meet again a year later will they be able to overcome the hurt of not reaching each other? Enjoyed this quick book, hope you do as well.

These two authors have done it again with their collaboration with this book it’s such a fantastic story. This is Katie’s and Trent’s story, they are employer and employee and after a hot night together Trent leaves Katie pregnant but he wants her and their baby but there is jealousy from another woman and she tries to keep them separated with lies. This is a fantastic story and it shows how the jealousy of others can make or break a relationship, I was glad that Katie and Trent got their HEA but they both had to fight like hell to get it but in the end they both deserved their happiness. There’s plenty of scorching hot scenes which made me pat myself down with a cool cloth lol, but the hot scenes didn’t take anything away from the story that was fantastic in itself. A 5 plus ⭐️ read and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

This is a quick steamy story about Trent a very wealthy man who normally gets what he wants and Katie a woman who has worked hard to have a newly successful catering and party planning business. Amanda, Trent’s assistant hires Katie to handle his masquerade party and does a wonderful job. Trent gets Katie where he wants her, under him. They have an amazing night together but things don’t seem to work out for them. Katie does what she needs to survive and Trent seems lost not understanding what went wrong. Well written easy to read story with nice storyline and plot. Likeable characters that are well described and develops nicely through the book.
A story written in dual POV which gives the reader much more of the feelings and thoughts of the main characters.
It is a fast paced and instant attraction story but it somehow suits it. It does not have the deep thoughts and story but I like the characters and that it is a quick but enjoyable read. The mystery, drama, baby issue, steamy scenes, emotional ups and downs and twists makes it worth the read. The writing style kept me captivated.
So I can only recommend it to others.

Great read

Katie is a party planner and catering business. Trent is a successful billionaire. Katie and Trent meet at Trent's party. She has no clue it's his party until they are dancing. Instant chemistry and a night of passion. Katie leaves hoping she will hear from Trent but months go by and no word from him but she has something to tell him.  When they finally see each other again will the sparks still be there? Will she tell him her secret? Will they get a HEA?

I love when Cassandra and Kendall co-write together. Their characters always grab you from the start and you just can’t put their books down. This book is no different. The characters of Katie and Trent are just so amazingly hot together! This book will take you through a mix of emotions from pleasure to excitement & then jealousy from an employee (Amanda) who wants Trent for herself. Katie owns her own business and is hired to plan a party for billionaire Trent Moore. During the party he is deeply attracted to her and wants her and decides to have her. The two have insane chemistry and a great connection that goes beyond sex. When they can't get a hold of each other, a year goes by. With what they think happened get in the way of them having a future together? This is an over the top insta-love story with some jealousy. I like when Cassandra and Kendall co-write together. They do a great job together.

Too much

I enjoyed the first short story very much, it's the only story about a girl getting pregnant btw. A couple others were not so bad. BUT....most of this book of short stories is so over written its unbelievable. Over done sex scenes, over talked about body parts. I read the whole book but I had to make myself continue during some or the "scenes".
I have seen some interesting passages on Facebook, where this book was advertised and I bought it from, but I think they are so misleading about the book itself.

This was a short read, was ok. I prefer lengthier reads, with a bit more of a story line but this wasn’t bad.

Not what I expected

I did like the story I thought I was buying but it did end very quickly. It wasn’t what I thought I was buying, the story ended at 7% of the book. It is a total of 11 short stories. By reading the blurb it sounded like there was only one additional book, which I am usually ok with but it was very misleading. Because of this I only read the first story in the book.

Katie and Trent were wonderful and their chemistry was hot. This is a quick read. No jerks for H's, no games by the H or h. Just insta-lust, a night they both can't forget and then...nothing. Who's "ghosting" who? I'm not telling, but I will say that Amanda gives "Barbie" a bad name.

This book tells the tale of Katie and Trent who met over a year ago and then meet again. Things are not always as they seem and they must overcome obstacles to them being together. The characters are well thought out and they have real chemistry between them. Loved the book as it is a quick read and hot but also has a good plotline.

Cute story

Katie and Trent really have an explosively hot first meeting, that led to her becoming pregnant. Through a series of very unfortunate events, they are unable to find out contact each other afterwards. This story was hot, sad, and euphoric. I just wish it could have been longer to really build the story line.

Insta love at its finest.
