Alex Grayson is the bestselling author of heart pounding, emotionally gripping contemporary romance including the Jaded Series, the Consumed Series, and two standalone novels. Her passion for books was reignited by a gift from her sister-in-law. After spending several years as a devoted reader and blogger, Alex decided to write and independently publish her first novel in 2014 (an endeavor that took a little longer than expected). The rest, as they say, is history.
Originally a southern girl, Alex now lives in Ohio with her husband, two children, two cats and dog. She loves the color blue, homemade lasagna, casually browsing real estate, and interacting with her readers. Visit her website, www.alexgraysonbooks.com, or find her on social media!
Solid series. You will bond with these characters. Do yourself a favor and read them in order and block out some time to marathon read them because once you step into Jaded Hollow, you will not want to leave.
Seriously. The paragraphs and pages absorbed by the heavy-handed descriptions. All of the "angels," "babys," and eye-rolling nonsense. The over the top plots and forced connections (the segway from glares, snarls, and squints to sweet nothings out of the blue) along with employing someone who...can't handle their future boss walking towards them? I just. Can't even. So much so that I didn't even get past the first story. If you enjoy silly stuff, and like stories about flimsy characters and dizzy dames- come and get it.
DNF the other 3 books, finished only 1st book. Still 2 Stars. The premise was okay and not so unfamiliar...a new start in a small town as anonymously as possible, and all the potentially quirky small-town characters that goes with it. However, the execution and lack of editing was what killed it for me.
Cell phones don't have dial tones. Second, if you *really* want to be anonymous, you don't text your location on your disposable phone to your friend back home, especially when the guy you're running from KNOWS who that friend is and that you are/were close...that's the first place he'll look. When Bailey did that, right off the bat, I knew what was coming. Hide yourself, girl. Your friend will have to trust you'll find her when the time is right.
I get tired of the Mary-Sue vibes...you're not going to find a job the same day you roll into town, let alone the family that seems to run the two main locations for plot pushing.
I actually thought this was YA because of the writing, until the graphic-happy flashbacks.

Jaded Hollow is a boxed set of Beautifully Broken, Wickedly Betrayed, Wildly Captivated, and Perfectly Tragic. Each couple’s story is filled with dark romance, angst, spice, and an eventual HEA. The dark content is not for the faint-hearted, so please check trigger warnings for anyone who is sensitive to topics—there are quite a few in this series.
Overall, I enjoyed the series and the twists in each book; I think I would have enjoyed it even more if I had not seen a bunch of angst-filled moments in social media teasers. The stories held my attention, and I enjoyed all of the characters in Jaded Hollow. This was my first read by Alex Grayson, but I will check out more of her books. I am giving a rating of 4 / 5 Stars.
These are the first books I have read by Alex Grayson and I decided to jump straight in and bought the box set of the 4 books the Jaded Hollow series. I loved the way each book followed on from each other, and you see the characters from each book come together. The first book tells you about Bailey’s life when she lands in Jaded Hollow, scared and running from her past and her abusive husband. She’s not had a very good life, she gets flash backs from the abuse and there might be triggers for some readers, the author has given a trigger warning in her excerpt there is some pretty horrific abuse mentally, sexual and physical so if this isn’t your thing don’t read it. But Bailey does get her HEA
The first book of Bailey was captivating but also hard to read. The community she finds proves there is more to life. This story is dark and takes many unexpected turns. Mia's story shows how a misunderstanding and not listening to someone can take so much precious time away. It also touches on the horrible type of people out there as seen in Bailey's story. The third is about Andrew. This story is not my favorite it just didnt have the same energy the other three had. The final story about Nick was my absolute favorite. It touched on loss and the possibility of love after tragedy.

This series just wasn't for me. Too many similarities happened with the female characters and it made me roll my eyes and want to rip my hair out. I couldn't get engrossed in the stories like I had hoped because it was just way too much and the situations and drama were over the top. And I seriously couldn't get over the behavior and attitude of the "Hero" in the last book. Ugh! He was awful.
FYI -There are quite a few triggering situations in these books.
The series was heart breaking at times and emotional. Very graphic at times but it was moving for the characters, even the men suffered as well as the women. Their is rape, beatings ,hurt drugging and drinking and not often you read about men being raped.they got their happily ever afters but they went thru hell. Recommend this for adults who can read with out judgment of the author.
I love this book set. Alex you made me cry, laugh and throw my phone across the room. I loved all the group and their undying love for each other. Bailey and Jaxon, Mia and Mac, Andrew and Jase, Nick and Chris. No matter what they go through they always have each others back. I really hope Alex does a story on the kids. Especially T and Ally.
This is a wonderful series. All 4 books have HEA with lots of angst leading up to it. Yes as all romance they do have a cheesy factor, but the characters grow throughout and develop. There is some really bad editing, that can grate on your nerves, but the stories are enough for me to continue reading even though I have put other books down for less.
Spectacular series! These books will make you feel angry, rip your heart out, make you laugh and most definitely make you believe in the power of love!! This is a must read series!!
I seriously can't say enough great things about all of these stories. The author writes each one in a way that she touches your soul, wrenching your heart and helps you rebuild it! A must read, you won't be disappointed....
After reading until never i had to read this wonderful series. All 4 books have HEA with lots of angst leading up to it. Yes as all the romance and sadness saw the characters grow throughout and develop. I might read other books.
What a powerful series to read. All books were fantastic but the last one got the hard feels going in me I might have had tears in my eyes. Thank you Alex for the brilliance of Jaded Hollow
This book gave me many emotions I loved every couple in these stories! They have been through so much heartache and that in turn made them all stronger and closer together! I recommend this book to anyone! I truly loved every story!
This series was AMAZING! I loved reading everyone's different stories! These are stand alone books, but to appreciate each book, you need to read the ones before it.

Holy cow!!! This series is rough, in a great way! After every one of the stories, I really needed to take a break but I couldn't. First, I loved Bailey and Jaxon's story. I love that the author doesn't portray only sunshine and roses. She exhibits that not every story is meant to be tied up in a little bow with a cherry on top. She portrays the ugly side of life, as well as the fact that life is definitely not fair. This is also true with Mac and Mia. In Andrew and Jase's story, we are reminded just how messy life is, and how things don't always happen on our time, but when they are meant to. And also, how good deeds can come back to bite you in the ass. Then, we come to Nick and Chris. How do we as human beings cope when everything we love and everything we live for is lost? How do you keep going? How do you learn to live again? These stories are so well written and all of her storylines are well explored. This is one of the best books I have read this year. There are a lot of trigger warnings for this book. Unfortunately, to dictate trigger warnings would give away part of the story. If you have triggers, I recommend going to the book pages and looking at the stories individually to see if you can handle it. On a side note, on one of the stories she also gives resources if someone is going through similar events and I think that is awesome. If you know someone or are going through any of these events in any of these stories, please get help. In the meantime, if you are looking for an amazing book to round out your 2016, definitely check this one out.
I am still totally speechless.... when I started reading this series I thought oh, another one I will figure out. The same old same old scenario. But, Lord was I wrong! Oh cow! This series had everything, love, lust, danger, sadness, madness, friendship, family and happily ever after! Gosh, I would love to see this series turned into a movie or Netflix series! ,
