Tangles of death, danger, and monsters. Rapunzel and her sexy shifters must escape a witch’s vengeance.
At the age of eight, Elliana lost her father, her future, and her freedom in exchange for eternal captivity. Not to mention unimaginably long hair.
Trapped in a tower by a magical gargoyle, Elliana chances a few daring and ill-fated escapes in search of a powerful, hidden weapon, which could free her and kill the stone creature once and for all. But to do that, she must summon a sly dragon shifter, a ferocious lion shifter with way too much baggage, and a devious tiger shifter. But the witch who hexed her is returning to finish Elliana. Can she save herself and the heroic three shifters she’s slowly losing her heart to before they all die?
Dragons, lions, magical hair and love merge in this heart-wrenching tale that finds its own, unique, 'Happily Ever After.'
Note: Each book in the Haven Realm series is a standalone book.
Mila Young tackles everything with the zeal and bravado of the fairytale heroes she grew up reading about. She slays monsters, real and imaginary, like there's no tomorrow. By day she rocks a keyboard as a marketing extraordinaire. At night she battles with her mighty pen-sword, creating fairytale retellings, and sexy ever after tales.
Have you ever had a bad hair day? Elliana has been cursed to have one every day for all eternity as Mila Young puts her own spin on Rapunzel with ENTANGLED, a fast-paced, sometimes quirky tale of “what if THIS happened?” instead of the version we all knew.
Can Elliana find a way to break the curse, cut her hair and escape the wrath of her gargoyle guard? A few brief escapes, say she might, but not without the help of a dragon, a lion and a tiger, oh my! Fun reading with a quirky heroine, an nasty gargoyle (or two), a cat named Gingernuts and three sizzling hot, all male, shifters…did I mention sizzling hot?
And…again Mila Young goes from a childhood fantasy to the grown-up flames of passionate fire and the heat is scorching as Elliana finds herself ENTANGLED in the arms of her own harem of virile, powerful men packing their own magic.
Leave your blush at the door, grab the smelling salts, because this reverse harem may start out sweet and innocent, but, trust me, this tale takes flight on wings of passion. And may I give kudos to Gingernuts for dealing with his name?
For me, this is Mila Young raising the bar again in with this standalone addition to the Haven Realm series!
I received a complimentary ARC edition from Mila Young!

This is my favorite of the series so far. I liked the curses running through the story line. I like the connection between the characters and I liked the gargoyle. It was a good representation of the fairy tales with twists. The final fight at the end was good I like how the witch was trying to keep her shifter partner alive. I liked the mix of creatures they were using. It's the first time I've ever read about a scorpion shifter.

I’m kind of hoping the author keeps this series going. Her interpretation of the fairy tales in each book was so interesting and this book and the previous are by far my favorites. I think comparatively they are much more detailed in the storyline and everything felt more in depth than the previous three. I got a lot of Tangled vibes whether that was the author’s intent or not I don’t know, but as I love that movie it helped me connect a lot more with the story. After the murder of her father Elliana is taken and curse by a witch. She is stuck in a tower guarded by an abusive stone gargoyle and has hair that you guessed it, is super long and is uncuttable. This poor girl is literally trapped by her circumstances and her life’s goal is to break the curse. In spite of all this Elliana finds ways to circumvent the curse and somehow live half a life. The curse however threatens the life of everyone (or at least the gargoyle does) and so making connections, especially romantic, are basically impossible for her. Everything in her life has to be short term. That is until she finds a lion shifter hiding in her room, nothing will be the same for her. Elliana has three shifter mates, an ex boyfriend dragon shifter, a tiger and a lion shifter. Their circumstances allow them all to desire family and acceptance regardless of one another’s species, so the different species coming together was a positive not a negative. Needless to say all their problems all come back to the same witch and taking her down and eliminating the curse is no easy feat. This witch is a garbage human. She locks up Elliana at eight and just abandons her with a guardian gargoyle, who we are reminded many a time has and does hurt Elliana when she leaves the tower. Apparently he’s given her numerous broken bones since childhood. Damn if that ever stopped her lol, I’d have never left that damn prison if that was me so I really loved her almost always positive attitude. Even her downtimes never lasted long and her brain was always calculating what was next. I also have a love for Gage, that man was so damn sweet, naughty, dorky, brawny and lovable. He was so damn enamoured and obsessed with Elliana it was hard to understand why he was an ex boyfriend. I also have to shoutout her cat Gingernuts who stole the show. At times he shared in the curse on her hair and even just the thought of this cat prancing around cool ass shit like cats do, with more hair than ten cats Brings me to tears lol. His personality brought much joy and in a cheesy way I’m so happy Elliana had him so she wasn’t alone the past years. This book was just fun and I loved the storyline and how detailed it all was. I was worried I wouldn’t get a HEA when I kept inching towards the end and everything was still going wrong. But my dreams came true and everything worked out in the end. Again I hope this series isn’t over because it kind of feels like the author is finally on the right track with the world she built and I would love to see her incorporate other fairy tales in her own way.
Best take on Rapunzal ever! This poor girl is stuck in a tower with her crazy long hair and a mean gargoyle guard. After years of this she manages to sneak out for a spell that only solves half her problems. Add in three hot shifters and things really get going. I was loving the little twists involved and the attacking hair just mad my day. Plenty of surprises and lots of action in the second half to keep you guessing. Great conclusion as well. I enjoy how these are standalones yet interconnected at the same. If you like RH remakes of classic stories then this is the Book for you. I really enjoyed it so I give it 4/5 stars.
Who doesn't love fairy tales? If you don't then don't read this series. If you do. Well then. You're in for a treat. I had to keep reading this series once I started. This one was one of my favorites. Should start with the first book, but you don't have to. I love how each of the mc in each is different then pop up in the other books as friends or acquaintances.
Elliana has spent the last several years trapped in a tower guarded by a cruel gargoyle. She strives to find a way to defeat the stony creature and gain her freedom so she can seek revenge on the witch who imprisoned her. While she gains the help of three gorgeous shifters, her own troubles snowball into something much bigger. It isn't her own freedom she struggles for, but for the lives of shifters everywhere. Will Elliana and her loyal men find a way to defeat the great evil or will she face a fate worse than a lifetime in a tower?
Another fabulous reverse harem fairy tale retelling by Mila Young. This one is Rapunzel, and I love the twist on the myth of her hair. Especially when it includes Elliana's grumpy pet cat! She's a strong heroine with a clever set of thief skills. She's matched with three strong and smoking hot men. We get a peek into another corner of the Haven realm. I do love the world building in this series. All those delicious nooks and crannies! I have no idea how Elliana was going to get out of her predicament, and the twists surprised me. Well done!
I did not finish this book. I found the main character unbearable given the writing style of the author. The story was incredible repetitive - for example, how many times do you have to tell the reader that the MC's ex cannot shift into a full dragon? (Which, btw, is inconsistent with the first time she mentions it, when she is unsure whether he can fully shift or not - not five pages later she knows and is referencing the fact that he cannot fully shift over...and over...and over again). I just didn't find the book to be particularly well-written, and I had high hopes given the enthusiastic reviews here and elsewhere. The dialogue and exposition often felt stilted. The plot was often quite obvious; the author did not use subtlety in her foreshadowing. I kept hanging on wanting it to get better, but it was too frustrating and I stopped early.
I really enjoy Mila’s series and once again she writes an interesting and exciting book in this series. I enjoyed the concept of Rapunzel in this story and this book was very different to other book on this storyline...I enjoyed the three different shifters for the FMC and really liked that they were all seperate and a connected to her at different times but still being a group together! To me this story was different to the other four in the series, I felt not as good as the last couple in the series and there were times that I felt the story repeated itself, but in the main it kept my attention and I enjoyed the book. I especially enjoyed seeing Scarlett and her guys in this book...I love how these books all connect and bring us back to some of our favourite characters and see where they are after their story!! Mila is a very talented author and I can’t wait to read in next book in this series!
This is an awesome retelling of Rapunzel. The main character is cursed by a witch because her father stole a golden wig from her. She is cursed to live in a tower guarded by a gargoyle that comes to life during the day. Since it slumbers at night she uses that as an opportunity to sneak out and see people that she has gained as friends. One of which is an ex that she does love but can't be with because she doesn't want him to get hurt. She tries to find a way to break the spell the witch has on her and in the process ends up meeting a lion shifter and a tiger shifter while trying to help them find the lion shifters kidnapped pride members. She ends up coming face to face with the witch that cursed her and a battle ensues to save her from her. Throughout the battle she starts to fall for all three of the men. The spice in this book is A+! But you have to read to find out what happens!
This is the first time i have read anything by this author and i was not disappointed. This book reminds me of Rapunzel, only in the sense that they both live in a tower, This story is much hotter what with your alfa shifters and my they are hot. Elliana while been locked away in the tower for eight years, by a witch who killed her father, is trying to lead a normal life, she has a gargoyle that guards her all day,but at night he turns to stone, so her fun starts then. She enlists the help of a nice witch and a bear shifter Dustin for help, but not is all as it first seems and things quickly turn. How or will she ever get away, who can help. I don't want to say much more for fear of saying to much but with a dragon, lion and tiger shifters whats not to love fab story and great sex ..happy reading
I have read the first in this series, now I’ve read the fifth book. Should I have read the ones in between? No, because they are standalones and the two I have read are great. This one was a retelling of the Rapunzel with a reverse harem twist. Elliana has been stuck in her tower by a curse since she was eight, shortly after her father died. After some time, she finds a way to leave her tower briefly every day, but she still must return. What ensues is a well-written tale about how she finds true love and a way to break her curse. The characters were fun, and the book was great from start to finish. If you like reverse harem, this book (and series!) is for you. Highly recommend!
I received an ARC for my honest review. Our heroine has been locked in a tower for years and years for a crime her and her father committed. During this time she never once stops trying to escape. Every escape attempt is foiled by the monster that guards her tower. Through her trials she meets 3 different men, 1 was a man she had a short relationship with during her night time adventures as that ended up being the only time she was safe from her gargoyle guard. The book was full of adventure and terror of being caught - again. It kept me on the edge of my seat waiting to see if she'd ever truly break free from her cursed tower.
"Entangled" is a very original retelling of the "Rapunzel" tale. It is a stand alone novel, but it helps to read the series, if you can, as characters from them sometimes make an appearance. While it contains magic, like the original, it also includes shifters of several different... races, I guess you'd call them, as they are half-human, and calling them breeds doesn’t seem right.
It’s very well written, with plenty of drama, humor and sex - so not for anyone under eighteen. My only complaint is the amount of typos and errors, but since I received an ARC copy for an honest review, I’m hoping those will be sussed out with the final release.
This is by far my favorite RH fairy tale retelling so far! The characters were hilarious, smart, cunning, fun and their personalities varied. I loved the whole thing from start to finish, the MC was perfect, witty, conflicted, wary, not too trusting, snarky but fun loving. The who thing was brilliant, nothing was predictable so it kept me on my toes and enthralled from start to finish! I hope to see another book in this series come out because they just keep getting better and better!
I did love love love it. Elliana is sparky, strong woman (it’s something I admire in all of Mila Young’s books). She lived trough lots of pain, she fought each day for freedom, she never gave up, when one plan didn’t work then she picked another. Amd even during the struggle for herself she never hesitated to help others. And it’s how she met Gage, then Reed and finally Khalo. Mighty shifters, strong, decided, going head first into battle, ready to sacrifice even their own life. Love characters, loved this action packed book, love how author twisted this story.
Okay I'm gonna be true, it took me a good long time to get through this book. Only because it was so detailed, every chapter had so much in it I had a hard time staying with it. But I kept going and loved the ending! I love how you get to read about other people that are in the same Realm. I loved how the guys all had they're own funny side and how you would think that Kahlo would be the serious one. Loved Gage the best, just because he always loved Elliana and never gave up on her. This is a great book and a sweet story with the girl getting her Happy Ever After!!
Entangled is Mila Young's spicy, shifter-packed take on Rapunzel, and it's everything you didn't know you needed. Elliana, trapped in a tower by a cursed gargoyle, is no helpless maiden. She's bold, clever, and ready to fight for her freedom.
With a sly dragon, a brooding lion, and a charming tiger shifter at her side, the chemistry is off the charts, and the stakes are sky-high. Add in a vengeful witch, a dash of heartbreak, and Young's lush world-building, and you've got a dark, romantic, action-packed read you won't want to put down.
I’m really enjoying the RH retelling season of well known fairy tales! Entangled was entertaining...full of action, and some seriously steamy scenes! Elliana is strong, determined to find a way to free herself from her prison...in her nightly travels she meets Gage, Reed, and Kahlo who will fight by her side against the witch. It’s not an easy battle, but their bond grows through it all! Love that we get an HEA with each installment! Look forward to the next one!
What a delightfully different take on a fairytale! Eliana has been locked up in a tower since she was eight years old. She is no passive victim, she is constantly trying to break her curse. She is one brave female. You have a evil witch, a gargoyle, a hybrid type fiend, then you have a dragon, lion and a tiger all wanting to claim Elliana. I absolutely loved it! So fresh, full of action, great storytelling!
This is a darker book within the series. We see more of the devious nature of the villains who have been plaguing Haven Realm. Poor Elliana has the worse possible curse on her that often leaves her broken and bloody when she tries for freedom. My favorite part of this book was Eliiana’s and Gage’s ariel extracurricular activity 😋. Plus we get to see more of the previous characters and even meet new ones that I could see them staring in their own book within this series.
Long hair is a pain! Elliana is trapped in the top of a tower by an evil witch for something she didn't do. She is able to sneak out every once in a while and has met her love. When she is able to get out a bit more she is able to meet more than she bargained for. She has a big heart and is willing to help those in need which gets her into her own trouble. With 3 mates, she is terrified of never being free. Steam 9/10 * Sweet 9/10 * Alt 1st POV * RH * HEA
This is by far my favorite book of all time. One it's my favorite fairytale. But this book was wow. I absolutely loved it. To me this book can be read as a stand alone. But towards end some other characters from other books show up. I can not wait to see what fairytale this author does next. Every one so far has been amazing.
This was probably her best fairy tale retelling yet! The story was enjoyably long and despite being a fairy tale was still different. It went a path I completely did not expect at all. The heroine was a bit unbelievable and frustrating at times but that would probably be my only flaw with this book. I would totally reread this book again
I fell like with every book the author writes this series gets dirtier and dirtier. I mean gezz it was definitely something but still on soft side. Anyway I love this book and couldn’t put it done and was well written. I can’t wait for the next chapter and I love how she connects all the characters together.
Yes to all of this. Entangled is the adult retelling of Rapunzel we all deserve. Elliana is the most determined and strong FMC I've ever met in a "fairy tale based story."
The plot twists are strong in this one and there are some bad-a scenes you need to finddddd.
Definitely recommend it. And can't wait to read the rest of these.
Such a unique spin on Rapunzel, I love how Elliana's curse is to have a bad hair day, well not really but once you read the book you will understand. There is plenty of action mixed in with the romance in this book to keep you devouring the pages. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
I think what I enjoy most about these books (besides the absolutely STUNNING covers) is the fact that even though they are fairy tales re-imagined, they always have enough of a spin/twist that it makes the story wholly unique and fun to read. Definitely a fantastic addition to the Haven Realm series
I love rapunzel but I have to say this story blew the original out of the water. A wicked witch with a mean pet gargoyle guarding in a secluded tower what's a girl to do but try everything to escape to her freedom including even getting a little help from three very hot guys with their own surprises. I recommend this book to everyone
I absolutely love the writing style of Mila Young! You know the protagonist will eventually triumph, but there's always a bit of the unexpected thrown in as well. And the sexual escapades are steamy and highly satisfactory enough to keep me coming back for more and more!
I've lived this whole series. I read 3 of the books in 3 days. I couldn't put them down. I enjoyed this book, it wasn't my favorite out of the three I read but that is only because beauty and the beast retelling are my favorite. I loved the men in this so much. And Gingernuts, the true star of the book
