About the author

Russell Punter was born in Bedfordshire, England. From an early age he enjoyed writing and illustrating his own stories. He trained as a graphic designer at art college in West Sussex before entering the world of publishing. He has written over one hundred books for children of all ages, ranging from original stories to adaptations of classic novels.

I serieboken Robin Hood får vi ta del av den spännande klassikern omarbetad i serieformat som på så sätt blir lättare och underhållande för de yngre läsarna.

De spännande scenerna avlöser varandra i rask takt i denna fartfyllda klassiker i serieformat som passar barn och unga då illustratören har skapat actionfyllda scener utan att de är blodiga tillsammans med lättläst text i serierutor och pratbubblor gör att den klassiska Robin Hood berättelsen kan förmedlas på ett lättare och mer underhållande sätt till en yngre läsare.

Det enda jag störde mig med texten var att ett till flera ord i varje pratbubbla som oftast var skriven med fetare text.

Längst bak i boken finns det en faktadel om den troliga uppkomsten till Robin Hood som mycket pekar på att grunden till historien om Robin Hood och hans gäng är en ballad.

This was a very interesting , it had funny moments in the book and chaos and drama.This book talks about how robin hood the main character of the book fight for whats right.He helped out the people in need in order to do so he made his own little group and rebelled against the king. This tells us how sometimes doing bad things can help others who are in danger.Also how to fight off the challenges in order to succeed and win or gain what you are seeking for.

This is a great presentation of some of the Robin Hood lore. I love the Pyle book, but the reading level is too high for kids that would still love to read about this swashbuckling hero. This Usborne graphic novel matches the high standard of art quality and presentation of the others I’ve read.

The artwork in this book is really well done; however, I wish the author would've focused a bit more on the story/plot of the book. I know it is a short, graphic novel meant for younger students, but it seemed like there is ample opportunity to provide more dialog, etc and Punter should have taken advantage of that to build interest and understanding of the characters.

Pretty solid introduction for kids to the legend of Robin Hood.

There was one panel of Marian holding a bow, presumably to loose an arrow, that as an archer made me go ‘good grief how the hell is she holding that bow, Marian your posture is horrendous’ but apart from that it was all good

Hallo ihr Süßen 💕
Ich möchte euch meinen ersten und ganz bestimmt nicht letzten Comic aus dem Usborne Verlag vorstellen. Ich finde dieser Comic ist perfekt für Kinder und Jugendliche, denn er kommt vollkommen ohne jegliches Gemetzel und Blutrünstigen Szenen aus! Jedem dürfte mittlerweile die Saga Rund um *Robin Hood* bekannt sein, schon alleine dank der Disney Verfilmung und den vielen anderen Filmen. Jedoch habe ich noch nie ein Buch über *Robin Hood* gelesen und erst recht nicht einen Comic. Dieser Comic ist sehr Realistisch und kommt vollkommen oder Fantasy Elemente aus, was mich wirklich gefreut hat, denn so konnte ich als Leser den "Wahren" Robin Hodd kennenlernen. Natürlich ist bis heute nicht bewiesen das es ihn wirklich jemals gab, aber wie sagt man so schön, an jeder guten Geschichte und Legende gibt es etwas wahres! Ich möchte diesen Comic wahnsinnig gerne anschauen, denn die Illustrationen sind sehr detailliert und einfach Traumhaft schön Gezeichnet. Es macht einfach Spaß, dieses Comic zu entdecken und zu lesen, er hat eine tolle Handlung und man erfährt noch einiges mehr über den "Wahren" Robin Hood, seiner Marian und seinen Gefolgsleute. Ich hatte sehr viel Freude beim Lesen und bin schon gespannt auf weitere Comics aus dieser "Graphic Novels Reihe" vom Usborne Verlag. Lieben Gruß Sonja/Shaaniel

O povestire inedită, captivantă, plină de suspans și de multe neprevăzute. Sunt recunoscător acum că în sfârșit am ajuns să o citesc și să cunosc care a fost "istoria" acestui tânăr curajos despre care am tot auzit când eram copil și adolescent.

Acum, nemaifiind un copil, am ocazia pe care nu am avut când eu am fost copil, și anume, de a citi cu fiul meu toate cărțile pe care mi le-aș fi dorit și eu să le citesc când eram de vârsta lui și nu numai. Mă bucur că m-am putut reîntoarce în timp să savurez această legendă nemuritoare care vorbește despre curaj, dreptate, prietenie, loialitate și desigur dragoste.

Ediția aceasta de la Usborne, pe care o am fizic, a fost excelentă. Felul cum este structurat textul și cum sunt realizate imaginile te conectează foarte ușor și te ține acolo. Excelentă!

A nice retelling of the story of Robin Hood with all the main characters and key episodes of the story. The art by Matteo Pincelli is engaging and it is an exciting adventure story (as expected!).
