Ancient Egypt has long been a fixation of mine and Ramesses II is a subclass of that fixation. So of course I want to learn about his Queen, a woman he was arguably obsessed with, so much so that he built temples in her honour.
The Author is very clear about the lack of information about the Subject (Nefertari), and the resulting speculation that has been built in its stead. This book briefly covers what is known of her life and death and the theories that have since developed due to the lack of conclusive evidence. This work also covers her tomb, statues and artefacts surrounding her (with some pictures at the end— love that).
While this does give good context and background information, I think my pre-existing knowledge made this more interesting/accessible for me. Though it would be an easy read if you are solely interested in Nefertari, the 70 pages are a breeze.
