The Ice Age and turf issues with the Nentres stalled things, but I’m finally moving back into my ol' neighborhood. I’ll settle down here with a woman. Not that I got one, but I’m thirty-one going on one hundred, with the weight of all the shit I’ve done in my short life span, and a guy can’t wait too long.
Yet, I ain't prepared for what I find inside my house.
And everything I find, I claim as mine. Including her.

So, this was a fun read at the beginning. Holly was in wolf form for a bit and Eddy didn't know about shifters. Then, we got to an incredibly OTT sex scene.
Eddy is a daddy dom. Who- with dubious permission- slapped the heroine in the face and got excited by the red mark his hand left on her face. He also enjoyed choking her with his penis. I knew this book had kink but slapping and choking are a HARD pass for me.
I began to skim as soon as the sex started but then I had to slow down because a crap ton of random characters showed up. The blurb says this stands alone but I disagree. Eddy is the head of an outlaw gang that survived an ice apocalypse and now has dragon shifter overlords? Humans are being turned into shifters but no one knew? Too much randomness for a stand alone.
I have it 2 stars instead of 1 because I liked the beginning and it has interesting paranormal elements.

I read this as a standalone, even though it's listed as 2.5 of a continuing series set in a post-ice age world of shifters and other strange beasties. It worked fine for me - Eddy is apparently some muscled grand poobah king of outlaws, who discovers a female wolf in his warm house, stealing cookies from the cookie jar in the kitchen. Thinking she'll make a good pet, he soon discovers that "Cookie" is really "Holly," but still decides to keep her. This was fun and quick and no real issues.

Daddies you'll probably like this. The storey is set in an after the apocalypse happening world. That's interesting, the shifter race being kinda supreme/prevalent. I think that the character background was well told and explained. I think it's a tad confusing and not detailed enough with story elements. This leaves you with questions. This wasn't really my cup of tea, but I tried to rate it appropriately.

I was a bit lost here. Without reading the series, it’s a bit hard to know what’s going on and who’s who. The world is in the grip of an Ice Age and Eddy runs a town where people have gathered for protection. But from what? Eddy lives next door to a dragon, but is surprised when Holly shifts from a wolf to a woman. The author has her BDSM and Daddy kinks a bit mixed up, a Daddy Dom wouldn’t slap around his little, although he may spank her if she’s been a naughty girl. Holly is extremely naïve and sometimes seems more like a child. The dynamic between the two main characters just didn’t work for me.

Though I was expecting a short novella, I was NOT expecting a wam-bam-thank-you-mam story. I do appreciate that the author made the characters' feelings clear and it was easy to see the personalities of both. Their story was incredibly quick and seemed to only last a total of 24 hours, if that. I wasn't fond of the way she wrote thoughts and the dialog. It was incredibly cut and dry. Still, I did like the story, which is why I am giving it a 4 stars.

Oh, puppy love! Eddy is smokin' and Holly is fierce. This was a quick read but oh so good. I wanted more from Daddy Eddy and Cookie. This story heats up fast and does not disappoint. I love these little shorts Milana gives between books, but they always leave me wanting more. Love her books so much and cant wait for the next dragon.

Urghhh
Alright, overall I actually liked the story, but that whole repeated slaps to the face is just wrong on every level. Lord knows I get spankings and some punishments but that is pure sadism and it's abusive. If would take a real masochist who like being humiliated to enjoy that. So I took a star off for it. I hated it.

Embrace your dreams
Another perfect addition to this series. Eddy is such a big part of the previous book that it does a heart good for him to find his HEA. Not to mention that his mate needs him to be the strong alpha male that he is. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.

Fun quick read
Very quick and fun introduction to the Dragon world by bringing in a human, Eddy, who knew about Dragons, but was totally unaware of otherworldly creatures such as Wolves. This is humorous as Eddy meets a wild who has broken into his home and needs some where to stay!! She remains a willingly Eddy finds out!! A fun story!!

Milan Jacks does short stories really well however this really was too short . It was excellent and then it ended to quick. That's my only complaint. She should have made it longer.

I haven't read any of this series so I'm caught flat footed here. Lots of gaps that need filling which probably happened if I had read the previous books. Interesting premise going to add the others to my TBR pile.

This was short and sweet, I really wished it was a little longer, Holly and Eddy seemed like a great couple but I almost wish they had a real book to learn more about Nentres’s pack and pack dynamics in the world built by Milana.

Entertaining, but needs an editor
I counted three misused/incorrect words in the first two pages. This short story, while entertaining, desperately needs an editor. Shane in the author for publishing it in such sloppy shape.

I liked it!
Very very short of course, but I still liked this short read for Eddy. And as a added bonus there was a sneak peak for the next book which was a pleasant surprise.

I had not read any of the other books in this series and still I got the jest of the overarching tale and really enjoyed this short story.

I really enjoyed this take on PNR Werewolves. It’s definitely original, witty and I hope there’s more to come from these characters.

So entertaining
Eddy is an intriguing character in Burn for Her and is even more so in this book. Holly definitely has her full with this guy. I wish this was a fuller length book.

Eddy and Holly
I can’t even describe how much I enjoyed this story. I just wish it was longer, I need more of Eddy and Holly. Also I cannot wait to read more from this author.

I’m actually surprised I enjoyed this installment as much as I did. Eddy is a human who comes home to find a wolf in his home. He has no idea that the wolf is actually shifter Holly. Eddy believes he’s basically adopted a neglected wolf into his home until the next day when he leaves and Holly shifts back into human form to take a shower. And then Eddy comes right back because he forgot something, and instead of a wolf, he finds a beautiful woman that he is instantly drawn to.
These in-between stories of Milana’s are always short so the sexy times are almost immediate. Because of Eddy’s desire to take care of those that are weaker than him, and Holly’s longtime suffering, it fits in perfect with Eddy’s Daddy kink. And there’s why I was surprised I enjoyed this story as much as I did. I’m truly not a fan of Daddy/little kink but I really liked Holly and Eddy as characters. And the Daddy aspect totally works for Eddy as a character so I think that’s part of the reason why it didn’t bother me so much. We also get a treat in this installment with the human being a man instead of a woman, and find some interesting aspects of the shifter mating, which brought about the drama of this episode.
