Toto nie je žiadna obyčajná chlpatá spoločníčka starých dám. Toto je nindža mačka.
Už nezachraňuje len starý nudný Londýn. Na jej mačacích pleciach leží osud celej ríše, zvieracej i ludskej! Zmizol totiž všetok syr a hrozí kolaps medzinárodných vzťahov.
Na svojej prvej naozajstnej misii musí poraziť zločineckú bandu plnú gaunerov a pašerákov všetkých druhov a veľkostí.
Podarí sa jej s Blyskotom a Mačkofúzom zajať zákerného arcivojvodu Parazyxa a zachrániť svetový mier?
Druhý diel série mi osobne prišiel lepší... čím to je? Že by preto, lebo už netreba predstavovať postavy? Alebo sa tam deje kúsok viac? Celkovo dej beží smooth, veci sa dejú, akcia strieda nový problém a jeho riešenie... celkovo príjemná jednohubka.
Prvá veta: "Dobre, Blyskot," povzbudzoval huňatý kocúrik sám seba, "vyčisti si hlavu."

Käsediebe sorgen für schlechte Laune und wollen die Welt beherrschen
Irgendwie sind alle grimmig und schlecht gelaunt. Kein Wunder, ist doch sämtlicher Käse verschwunden, einfach weg. Die weltweite Organisation der Ninja Cat beauftragt Toto, sich des Falles anzunehmen und herauszufinden, was es mit dem Käsediebstahl auf sich hat. Ehrensache für Toto, doch natürlich sind auch ihr Bruder Silver und ihr bester Freund, die Ratte Katzenkopf, mit von der Partie. Und so schlittern die drei in ein gefährliches Käse-Entführungs-Abenteuer im Hafen von Greenwich und müssen gegen Erzherzog Ferdikater (EHF), einem ehemaligen und nun abtrünnigen Ninja kämpfen, der nichts Geringeres vor hat, als die Weltmacht an sich zu reißen und den Ninja Cat ein für allemal den Garaus zu machen. Ob Toto, Silver und Katzenkopf es schaffen, EHFs perfiden Plan zu vereiteln? Findet es selbst heraus.
Diesmal spielt sich das Abenteuer also nicht in Londons Innenstadt ab, sondern im Randbezirk in einer schummrigen Schmuggler-Kneipe am Themseufer und später dann im Hafen von Greenwich. Wieder einmal ist es ein rasantes, witziges Abenteuer und sehr spannend, dabei aber auch total witzig (vor allem Dank Silver, dem verfressensten Kater weit und breit). Die vielen detailverliebten s/w-Illustrationen von Nick East sind genial und passen perfekt zur Story.
Die Schrift ist sehr groß gehalten, einzelne Wörter sind hervorgehoben durch Fettdruck und Großbuchstaben, die Kapitel sind schön kurz und voller Illustrationen. Das macht es für Erstleser leicht, am Ball zu bleiben, weil es so schön abwechslungsreich ist und nicht überfordert. Von der spannenden, lustigen Story ganz zu schweigen. Dieses ungewöhnliche Trio aus fabelhaft cooler, aber halbblinder Ninja Katze Toto, ihrem verfressenen und so liebenswerten Bruder Silver und der großen, loyalen Ratte Katzenkopf macht einfach Laune und ihre Abenteuer sind super kindgerecht. Von mir sehr gute 4/5 Sterne und eine Empfehlung an alle Erstleser, aber auch an die schon geübten Bücherwürmer, die ein spannendes und witziges Tierabenteuer in England erleben möchten.

Dermot O'Leary is famous for being the long-standing presenter of X Factor and for giving contestants legendary hugs. Now he is also writing books about his cats, Toto and Silver O'Leary.
This book is the second of the "Toto the Ninja Cat" books but no knowledge of the first is required and this one is completely stand-alone in it's story. Toto is "almost completely blind, and could only see light and dark shapes. Silver acted as her eyes and, as far as she was concerned, they came as a team."
Toto has ninja skills and is part of the ancient order of international ninja cats. As part of this she is summoned from her home in Camden, London, to 10 Downing Street by Larry, the Prime Minister's cat. The PM is to host a peace conference where she would normally lay on lots of food including "cheese, mountains of it! The finest cheese board in all the world." Trouble is "every single piece of cheese in the UK has been stolen." "Without it [the humans] are powerless and will turn on each other." It is up to Toto, with Silver in tow, to discover where the cheese is and to get it back.
The story is imaginative, based in London, and has talking animals. It is well-illustrated throughout and the cover looks good with the shiny gold elements used for the cheese, lights, stars and ripples in the water, making it sparkle. I enjoyed it.

Czy znacie odważniejszego kota od Toto i Sreberka? Mój co prawda lubi wyzwania, ale sprawnością to raczej im nie dorównuje 😂
Ta pozycja świetnie się nadaje jako książka dla dzieci (i dorosłych!), które uwielbiają koty i ser. Można poznać całkiem interesujące postacie, które potrafią świetnie się kamuflować. Jest zdrowa dawka lekkiego humoru, zabawa, przygoda i niebezpieczeństwo. Tutaj przyjaźń i współpraca są kluczowe, żeby osiągnąć cel - oczywiście starając się nikogo po drodze nie skrzywdzić, ale to się nie tyczy kota ninja, prawda? 😁
Książeczka jest napisana przyjemnym językiem dla dzieci, a fabuła nie jest zbyt wymagająca. Akcja nie przytłacza, a czytając sama ledwo zwróciłam uwagę na to, w którym momencie dostali się do tego sera.
Ciężko powiedzieć, czy "Toto" zawiera istotny morał. Daje zabawę i przyjemność podczas czytania, a to także jest istotne. Toto pokazuje, że warto pomagać bliskim i nigdy się nie poddawać, nawet jeśli coś może wydawać się trudne.
Zachęcona innymi przygodami Toto i Sreberka, z pewnością sięgnę po poprzedni tom 😄

A fun cat tale. I hadn't read the first one so was a little surprised to find Toto is a girl kitten who is nearly blind, she can make our shapes and light, so she depends on her brother, Silver to help her by describing other creatures & venues to her.
I loved Catface, who is a rat who likes dressing as a cat, he was funny and I liked that they had to go to 10 Downing Street to meet up with Larry for the Secret mission. If for no other reason get this book for your child as it has the word "rapscallions" in so there is a 4 syllable word for any reading challenges.
A very enjoyable book for confident readers aged 6+ and their parents who might like to read a page or two too.

Toto, la chatte presque aveugle, et ses compères espions doivent cette fois affronter un ennemi de taille qui a volé tous les fromages afin de créer le chaos dans la société des hommes. Nos amis sont appelés à se confronter à des pirates et des escrocs, à se déguiser et à triompher! Toto ninja chat est une belle petite série humoristique d'aventures animalières qui saura plaire aux 7-9 ans. Les illustrations sont magnifiques également.

This series of books is addictive. I know they are for children and I have purchased them for a friends child, but they are very funny.
In this installment(?) Toto, Silver and Catface are on the trail of cheese thieves who are stealing all of the cheese in the country.
We are introduced to more characters and more of the animal institutions below our feet.

Ако първата книжка е шеметна, то тази е на още по-сериозно ниво. Могъщ тайнствен противник, задача, от която зависи мира по целия свят и... мноооого сирене. Ястието е с превъзходен вкус и знаете ли кое му е най-хубавото? Има много котки от всякакви видове. Изтънчените продължават да са ми фаворити :D

Second book completed. My 6 year old nephew is entranced by Toto and her adventures. Well written and subtle enough comedy that even the children get it. Simple plot with great characters but that’s all you need at 6. Further adventures to come.

A very imaginative insight to what cats get up to whilst their human parents are sleeping. My 7 year old loves cats, cheese and ninjas so this was a perfect bedtime story for him.
