Patyl has always interesting - and a bit crazy - ideas: organise a demonstration against the hairdresser who has cut Dzovinar’s hair too short; create a singers’ duo called "The lively partridges" with her best friend Anoush, open the classroom’s rabbit’s cage door "so that it runs a little" in the public garden; decorate the newly painted white walls of Ara’s room; spend a whole night under the tent in Anoush's garden; prepare a birthday cake in the shape of a fairy castle… But sometimes, everything doesn't go according to Patyl's plans. Fortunately, Anoush, Ara, Dzovinar and her friends are always around to help!
The adventures of Patyl, Dzovinar and their friends, in seven short and illustrated stories.
When she was a child, Hasmig Chahinian loved reading, but couldn’t always find books she liked in Armenian. Afterwards, she dedicated her PHD thesis to Armenian children’s literature, researching closely the reading wishes of Armenian children in Lebanon, France and Turkey. She founded Kotot publications to offer high-standard books in Armenian, books she would have loved to read when she was a child... And that she really enjoys creating now!
