All Maisy Stringfield wanted to do was to find her sister and make sure she was okay. Jasmine had disappeared before but never for this long. Something was wrong. Maisy took the job working at the Blazing Sun Bar and Biker’s club hoping to get information on where Jasmine might be.

She hadn’t counted on Stud, who was the president of the Satan’s bears and a complication she didn’t need. She didn’t need him chasing her around and interfering in what she needed to do.

Razor was the leader of the wolf pack and determined to take over the Bears and Stud’s territory. He didn’t care who he had to hurt to do it.

Stud was tired and ready to find his mate. When he saw the little waitress working in his bar, he knew she was his. Not to convince her. Keeping her safe while he persuaded her was another chore. He was surrounded by incompetents.

Could he defeat Razor, find Jasmine and convince Maisy to be his?

She started out reading Nancy Drew mysteries when she was in grade school and graduated to her Mom’s Harlequin Romances in her early teens. Saving Jasmine is the first book in the Satan's Bears series, and we are quickly thrown into the story. Maisy is twenty-four years old and responsible for her younger sister, Jasmine. Maisy is the one on the straight and narrow, and Jasmine, the wild child. However, Maisy will work in a biker bar to get information on where her sister is. Stud in the leader of the bikers, and quickly claims Maisy for his own.

This was a very rough and ready story, almost raw in its execution. Although you get some information about the various groups, you don't get a lot, and that did leave me feeling like I had missed out. I found the characters to be rather weak and one-dimensional, especially Stud. However, Maisy seemed happy with him, so I guess that's something.

This was a fast-paced story, so be prepared. If you are looking for a 'down-and-dirty' read, then this book may be just what you are looking for.

I thought this was a good start to a series. The author’s take an shifter society was a bit unique in the fact of whether humans knew or not. At least I haven’t seen it put this way. I also liked the types of shifters mentioned. Maisy and Stud were a good match. The most intriguing character for me was Nan. I’d like to know more about her. I do think the next book might be a little darker if it’s Jasmine’s story. Curious to see who the adversary will be or will it be a fighting oneself story. You get a bit of the history throughout the book rather than a bunch at once which is perfect fit for the characters. As you get deeper into it you discover more. Overall I would recommend this book for an enjoyable read that looks to be leading to so much more.
