The Christmas Tree Bear: A Bear Shifter Paranormal Holiday Romance

Rate this book
It was like this: Charlotte “Charlie” Caldwell wanted to live somewhere not her parents’ house, not her sister’s house, and not her friends’ couches. The problem was that she had a very expensive degree from a top-notch university and all the debt that went with it. And, sadly, not a decent enough job to both live on her own and pay off those expensive student loans.

That's why she took up an extra part-time job at Christmas Tree Town, a tree farm and orchid that is turned into Santa's village every year around the holidays to help the families all over the area celebrate the holidays.

Willis Barnett inherited the family farm after his father passed away, and with his mother, they hope to make Christmas Tree Town a big profit this year to help keep the family business in the black. He only wants to run the farm then run as his bear through the fields and forests. He wasn't expecting to find The One, his mate, dressed up like Santa's Elf Helper while doing the daily chores.

With the help of family and friends, and one not so helpful ice storm, maybe they can make this work and start of the new year just right.

A stand alone, hot steamy, holiday romance. HEAs only, no cliffhangers.

This is my first book to read by Rosie Lynne. I have to say that I really enjoyed the book in spite of the errors. I am sure the ARC team had already found them and they are being corrected. Now back to the book. My attention was caught and maintained through the whole book. Many of us can relate to a person who is deep in debt from outrageous school loans. The story line was right in sink and the characters were worked perfectly into the story line. The hunky man on the cover didn't hurt matter any, plus the sex was good too.... :) If you love a steamy love story and one that ends happily ever after and it heats up the sheets, then this is the book for you, if you are 18 and up.

Charlie Caldwell wanted to live anywhere but her parents house, her sister's house, and surely not her friends' couches. Her big problem was that she had a very expensive degree from a top-notch university and all the debt that went with it. And, sadly, not a decent enough job to both live on her own and pay off those expensive student loans. She decides to move home for a spell to see what she can come up with in the mean time. She lucks up on a extra part time job in Christmas Tree Town that is located on a tree farm and orchard.

Willis Barnett is a bear shifter who inherited the family farm after his father passed away. He, his mother, and his cousin Elvis hope to make Christmas Tree Town a big profit this year to help keep the family business in the black. He only wants to run the farm then run as his bear through the fields and forests. He wasn't expecting to find The One, his mate, dressed up like Santa's Elf Helper while doing the daily chores. His bear wants her now, and he knows that she is human and will have to take this slowly.

Willis gets his chance to show her that he wants her with the help of family and friends and a huge ice and snow storm. Willis is hoping that this is where the two of them can make things work and start 2016 off together.

Oh, what a sweet paranormal romance! If you're in the mood for an adorable, fluffy, moderately erotic holiday-themed honey of a book, pick this up.

I've read a lot of romance, and so much of it leaves me cold. Either there's no chemistry between the love interests or the characterization is weak and inconsistent. I have to say, Rosie Lynne did a great job of giving me two main characters who were not only believable, but well-rounded for such a short book. One of my favorite things about it is that the paranormal aspect is almost no big deal, which makes the book verge into magical realism. I love that the concept of bear (and other animal) shifters is included, but it's not the book's sole focus. The romance is, and the two main characters are believable in their attraction to each other and in the way the romance culminates. While there is heat, it doesn't overwhelm the rest of the story. Kudos to the author for giving us a strong female character who knows what she wants out of life and isn't afraid to have to work to get it.

The Christmas Tree Bear: A Bear Shifter Paranormal Holiday Romance is a fun (and quick) read, well worth the price of admission.

festive fun read... Willis tries his hardest to give his beautiful mate the space and time she needs to accept the bond he has to her. Let her go and if she returns she is your forever. Sound easy but it is not that simple ever.

Can they work it out and make all their dreams com true and keep both families content?

Just a good ole story. Especially since its a Christmas story.

It's about Christmas and a town that knows everyone, and love is in the air. From donkeys to lights and lots of family, it's just a loving Christmas feeling. Really enjoyed it. Thank you!

A sweet read

I chose this book because of its novella length. I like the leading characters.. It was simply a sweet Christmas romance. The world building was good. Ms. Lynne packed all the elements of a full length novel into the smaller story with no loss of flow. I hope to read more of her books soon.

The Christmas Tree Bear

Great job of storytelling, really enjoyed reading this one. This is a new author for me and I found that I have had a hard time putting it down. She knows how to make her characters real and life in a small town is very much what is described.

Good holiday read

This was a sweet holiday new found romance read. Willis was a sweet bear of guy. Charlie was a small town girl with a college degree that wanted more out of life. It was a good read, but i wanted more for the ending.

sweet story

Sweet story, good characters, love my bears! I would have preferred more paranormal elements to story, but over all very satisfied. A little bit of heat in the storyline.

Love the holiday and this story was ripe with cheer. The comedy was spot on especially with both families and the mamas wanting their grandbabies

Warmth of XMAS

I love great XMAS stories as they usually have a great ending but mainly because it is abt family. This author knows how to deliver with a big strong lovable hero in a small town and to boot--- he shows the girl he cherishes her and not just want her as most men do..
