HER RELUCTANT BEAR:

I so love this series. This book has a little of everything. It has your shapeshifters, shifters, and witches. The shifters are not just one type of shifter. You have bears, tigers, and werewolves. This is a series I highly recommend if you love paranormal romance books.

I am going to start this review by talking about Brian Stanley. It is so great to read his story. I was interested in him ever since he was introduced in a previous book. Don’t worry this book works fine as a standalone so you will not be lost if you have not read any of the other books in the series. Brian is one that has suffered from a metal illness since he was a child. He is one that has had some mystery surrounding him. Vella had always given us just a little more about him in each book and it always left you with the feeling of wanting to know more about him and the secrets that surrounded him. All in all, he was a good man with an amazing heart and he had a protective wall that he hid behind. You cannot read any of his story without your heart not breaking for him. He has known so much pain, hurt, and betrayal in his life. He sister seems to be the rock that holds him together until now. Until he meets his mate. His mate becomes the anchor that keeps him stable through the storm. He is going to have a lot thrown at him in this book. He will not only learn a lot about what is going on around him but more about himself as well. This will be almost more then he can bare. He will need his mate, family, and his friends to help him get absorb the information that he has received.

Jillian Garner is the perfect mate for Brian. I so loved her. She is a white tiger shifter and a Wendayan. A Wendayan is a witch. Wendayan all have special gifts and not all can do the same thing. Some can heal; some can control elements of the earth such as wind, water, and fire; some have foresight, and then there are some that have the gift of speed which is what Jillian had. Jillian was pretty special having the chance to be a part of both worlds (shifter and Wendayan) at least in my eyes. Jillian had a lot of pain in her life as well. When she was 6 she had witness her father’s murder. Due to her shifter side she remembers the smell of the man and remember the scar that he had. I cannot imagine what it was like for her to live with this all her life and now here she is coming face to face with her father’s murderer.

Jillian’s life will be turned upside down. Her father’s murder is after her and is not afraid to get his hands dirty to do what he must to lure her to him. Julian is lucky since she has Dalton who is a cop as a brother. Oh, how I look forward to his story. Anyway, Jillian learns what it is like to have people that care and will do whatever it takes to keep her safe. She learns what it is like to be a part of something like a supranational community. This is something she has missed in her life. No, the whole town is not supranational and not all the humans know about them. But they do keep together and work around town. They look out for each other and keep each other safe.

Brian is feeling a lot of things when it comes to Jillian. This scares him a little. He does not understand the reason he is feeling what he is feeling is because she is his fated mate. Jillian is able to sense somethings when it comes to Brian. She dumps a lot his way and hopes this does not push him over the edge. Sorry you will have to read the book to find out about the mystery surrounding Brian. Trust me it is awesome. Brian will feel the need to protect what is his which is Jillian.

There is so much that happens in this book and so much we learn. Truly a great story.

FREEING HIS TIGER:

Just WOW!!!! I have loved every book in this series. Each book has been great. I do believe that Vella Day gets better and better with each book she writes in this series. The one thing I love about this series is it has a little bit of everything. If you love paranormal books you will love this one. There are shifters, witches, and so much more. This book can be read as a standalone so don’e worry if you have not read the previous books.

In the pervious book we got to know a little about Anna Fairchild and Officer Dalton Garner. If you are like me you fell in love with Dalton in the previous book. You could tell even though he was some what up tight, he had a good heart. Being an officer was perfect for this white tiger shifter for he was a true protector and Anna who was a Wendayan (AKA witch) was perfect for him.

As you read the book you will see that Dalton is battling with the fact that Anna is his mate. Anna has been through so much and now here she is finding out about shifters. Dalton fears that she has had to much information throw her way at once. Dalton should not under estimate his mate. There is a reason fate put them together. Anna is a strong one and can handle anything throw her way with Dalton at her side.

There is a murder that needs to be solved. They do not know if it is human, shifter, or a changeling that killed this person. (FYI, changeling is a wolf shifter that can also take the shape of anyone they want. Pretty evil creatures) Through the investigation Dalton will learn how strong his mate truly is. He will discover he is highly protective of her and is tired of being alone.

Anna will discover some new found gifts that she has. She will also find something or someone that she has been looking for. There are pieces of Anna’s life that is coming together. The only problem is Anna will also find herself in danger. Can Dalton get to his mate in time? Will Dalton learn to relax and have fun? Will he put his heart on the line and give Anna a chance?

This was truly a great story and so worth reading. If you have not read any book in this series you are truly missing out. So thankful I got a chance to read another book in this series.

PROTECTING HIS WOLF:

I have to say I love this series. This series has a little of everything in it. From witches which are called wendayan to all kinds of shifters. From your regular shifters like lions, bears, tigers, and wolves to even shape shifters which are called changelings. To me each book in this series can be read as a stand alone.

Now I am the type of person that I would love to be able to step into this story and spend some times with these characters. Each character is truly amazing in their own way and I hold each one close to my heart.

The thing about this series is if you stop and look at different things in the story you will see it has some amazing meaning. Such as some of these characters have been to hell and back but have come back stronger. This is a true testament of how no matter what life throws out you it is truly your chose if you will let it break you or make you stronger. It shows how if someone truly is meant for you then they will do what ever it takes to keep you safe and to win your heart.

Lexi Laramie is one that really is going through something. She has a scum of a father who wants to give her to a bad shifter. She is on the run. The thing I love about Lexi is she is a fighter. She is just not going to roll over and let someone walk all over her. Lexi is part shifter and part wendayan. Each wendayan has a special power and it might not be the same as other wendayan. You will have to read the book to find out what her special power is.

Sam Pompley who is a wendayan works for the security business called McKinnon and Associates. He has a very special power as well and if you have read any of the other series then you will all ready know what it is. If you have not read the series then read the book to find out what it is. I will tell you this, it is pretty cool.

Sam is everything that Lexi needs. I love the play that goes on with these two. Both know they have met their mate but neither want to admit it. There is so much chemistry between these two. Sparks are flying when they come together.

Lexi has a very bad man after her by the name of Justin. Justin was Lexi to breed. Sam is going to have his work cut out for them. It will get to the place you will wonder who is really in danger, Lexi or Sam. Sam is going to have to do his best to convince Lexi to stay with him. Don’t worry it has a happy ending.

Whether or not if you have read the series this is one book you do not want to pass up. It is truly an amazing story.

WAKING HER BEAR:

I am so in love with this series. Like all the books in this series this book is a standalone. So do not worry if you have not read the pervious books. Just to give you a fresher course on what is what. There is what is called Changelings which are like shapeshifter, not to be confused with regular shifters. The Changelings can change to whatever form they have touched. Pretty scary creatures and very evil. There is what is called shifters which we all know as werebears, werewolves, and etc. This town has a mixture of all kinds of shifters. There is what is also called Wendayans which we knows as witches. Now not all wendayans have the same power. Each are gifted with their own special powers. Some with healing, some with foresight, and some can even shoot fire. Like I said each have their own gift. We also have are Gods, Goddesses, and demons. This series truly gives you a little of everything.

I have to say I have loved each book in this series but I do believe this one is my favorite so far. I think the author has show so much creativity in each book and in this one she took it a step farther. I have read several books with time travel and each one seems to be missing something. I do believe this author nailed the time travel thing. She pretty much filled in the blanks and showed you how one would feel to have traveled to a different time and place. To travel 100 years in the future oh, the fears and the unknown you would face (there is also another little twist but you will have to read the book to find out). I think the author done an amazing job capturing that fear and unknown.

I have always found Missy Berta interesting in the previous series and glad to see a book center on her. She truly is a kind so and deserves someone special and I think the goddess Naliana did a wonderful job picking out her mate. Missy is a type of person that puts the wellbeing of others before her own. She is a Wendayans with the gift of healing. She probably would of never dreamed that she would of found her special mate while picking mushrooms to heal a dear friend. Shows that selfless acts don’t go unnoticed.

I can image the fear that Missy must of felt when going into a cave and finding a strange naked man. Here was a man telling her he did not remember how he got there and did not know where his clothes where. Zane Barons is so lucky it was Missy that stumbled upon him. She truly desired to help him though she did not trust him. The attraction was instant. His bear recognized her as his mate and Missy’s magic recognized him as her mate. Though the human side to both were a little stubborn.

You can not read this series without falling in love with the town people. The shifter community is so tightly knitted together. They know the fear that each one of the fellow shifters face. They know to rely on the shifter sense to figure out who they can trust and who they can not trust. Because of this it played in Zane’s favor. Though the shifters knew nothing about him they were there to lead him a helping hand and I loved seeing that love and compassion from the shifter clan.

I loved how everyone worked so hard to get Missy and Zane together. It seemed no matter how many doubts were in Missy’s mind between Fate and Missy’s friends and family there was a little push here and there. It is great that they wanted to see her happy and mated. Oh, don’t get me wrong if there would of been any doubt on Zane being a good man/shifter they would of had her best interested at heart and done what they needed to protect her.

There is danger and we get to see the hateful evil Vinea show up in this book along with some other evil charters as well. Zane and Missy will face more danger then they know how to handle. I am curious what the future series holds for Vinea.

This book we will get to see how love can conquer all. No matter what these two face it is like the love that they have for each other makes the other strong. You get to see the power of fate mates and it is totally beautiful. This truly is a book worth reading.
