Even though I really enjoyed this story, I became upset when I discovered that it didn't have an ending and hence gave it only 3 stars when it truly deserves more. This sales tactic really sours me on an author, despite their great writing ability. It's like being held hostage. Put it in the blurb that the story is a CLIFF HANGER and let readers decide beforehand if they still want to invest their time reading it. With that aside, I found the characters very developed and believable. The plot flows and the romance is painted vividly with lots of color.

Worth Billions book 1

I loved this book all the way to the end. I am not a fan of books that does not have a happy ever after.I read to take my mind off my troubles and this book just didn't do that at the end. So Lexy Gimme i probably will not be reading any more of your books.

I am so confused. I get that this book is a series but I have assumed it is a standalone book as the main character’s names are different on all books based on the blurb. Also, nowhere does it say that it’s a duet or something. I just want some clarification. So annoyed right now. The book was good but I need to know more. Does the female MC really just leave and the story ended there? Or am I reading something different?

Leaves with a cliffhanger. The big question is do I love this story or the characters enough to find out how they get their happy ever after? Not really . . . Although generally well written, I wasn't invested enough to continue on their journey.

It was more of a preview of a story and although it had some interesting ideas with the main male character having been a really big actual bully in his youth at high school, there wasn't enough included in this book to say whether or not he was redeemable. He went on to be a billionaire, so no just desserts for him. We find out one of his victims had to have a least 3yrs of therapy after high school, and there may have been more victims his bullying was apparently quite severe.

If this series is ever released as a box set I may revisit buying it. Not sure it's worth the bother as plenty more romance out there with poor little billionaire stereo type just as well or better written and not split in to 3 short novels.

There is nothing in this book to indicate it's going to be a cliff hanger. I don't read reviews half the time since for the most part I've gotten screwed with accidental spoilers because people do not seem to care. So, I tend to not read reviews until I'm either loving a book or hating it.

I was excited because the male lead is a jackass male. It's amazing when you have a writer that is writing their lead character to be a male and think and act like one.

I cannot stand when you have a "alpha" male who is exceptionally feminine in their train of thought. That's just me, other people can dig the hallmark style romances. I don't.

However, what I don't love are cheap writing tactics. Making this a cliff hanger series forcing you to buy multiple books regardless of the price.. it should be listed. Most series now in romance have multiple characters or it's clear that the story takes more than one book. However, each book tends to be wrapped up nicely.

This is not the case.

This is part one of Grayson and Michelle's story and does end on a cliffhanger.
Grayson returns to the small town he grew up in to settle the estate of his godfather. He's not happy to be back as it brings back some bad memories. Michelle's in town after following her boyfriend, however he soon shows his true colours and she finds herself homeless. Together they work at finalising the will, getting closer as they do - but both have trust issues and they're not helping by keeping secrets from each other.
I struggled to like Grayson, he was very "poor me", not happy with his life but not really acknowledging it either. I liked Michelle, she wanted more and was trying to achieve something better. He was sassy and not afraid to say what she wanted.
Just as things start to look better for both, there is a mix up, a few secrets come out and all trust seems to be lost.

It was a nice story with well-developed characters. The hero has some serious hang-ups though. However, you don't see him working through his hang-ups and flying off into the sunset with his heroine, because......this book ends on a cliffhanger!

This is something I would have appreciated knowing at the get-go before I started reading this book. I don't like cliff-hangers as I find that some authors unnecessarily drag the story over multiple books. I read romance because I like happy endings. Now, its like I'm forced to get the other two books in the series to get rid of my unanswered questions.

I really enjoyed this story!

I thought that this was a great book and it had a brilliant storyline!

The characters were great, they were well developed and they were full of life.

The author had a wonderful writing style and it really suited this style of story.

Romantic and sexy - the story continues...

It is 5 stars from me for this one - very highly recommended and can't wait for book 2!

Another one on my TBR list for a long time. Nope Nada. This is the end. Not going through this cliffhanger ending crap with an author again. I DO NOT MIND cliffhangers as long as I know that's how the book will end. I finally caught onto the fact that this author loves selling books 2 through 5 in order to sell more books and get readers to buy them. And I've also discovered that she writes at a high school level, so despite the story line, her books will not appeal to me. I'm done.

no no and NO - although I ordinarily like Ms Timms, this book was too big of a drop off at the end. WHAT? It just hung there, and Ididnt love it enough to buy any continuation of it. Too many books, too little time - also , it's a :CARICATURE" of your former self, not "carcass".. dunno, may have been spell check but I saw it twice.

Part 1: ends abruptly

Like other reviewers I too find it increasingly frustrating that books are broken into parts and end abruptly.

The characters are good, the story mostly well-written (there are a large number of typos in certain parts of the book).

I’ve bought the other two parts knowing I will continue reading.

A good read

The storyline flowed nicely and the characters came to life. I didn't want to stop reading until the end and then I felt like it could have been so much better had the main characters worked thing out for a happier ending. Not sure I would read the rest of the series since it isn't a continuation of Grayson & Michelle's story

Ends in a cliffhanger

I was left in the middle of the action without an indicator of where I could find the conclusion. Yup until that point, I was so enjoying the story. Oh well, I guess that's something I'll never know.

Loved It

Grayson came home to take care of the estate of the one man who really cares for him. Michelle followed her worthless boyfriend to this small town. Gray & Michelle meet when her ex throws her out and she goes to Anton's house, which is where is staying. Things change.

Cliffhanger

Annoying. The story was pretty good, the writing fine, no blaring editing issues.
Some over dramatic pettiness near the end, most likely to lure you in than the push me away feeling I got.

Beware of cliffhanger ending

Just when things were going good for Michelle and Grayson, a nosy ex and secrets had to cause doubt in their minds. Great storyline, it does end abruptly with a cliffhanger, so be prepared.

Why?

The book was good. Too bad you're not talented enough to finish it without making your readers purchase additional books. I hate writers like you. I read a book to read A book not to forced to buy 2 or 3 more to see how the story ends. Shame on you.

When to share. When to be open.

What a short read. Loved the story. There are lessons to be learned even in fictional stories. Share, be open and honest. Want to see how the story continues.

I had to force myself to read the book

It left a bad taste behind because of categorically putting characters in a good or bad boxe. It lacks finesse.

Authors like Lisa Kleypas, Louise Bay, Penelope Ward, Christina Lauren produce much higher quality book.

Another vacation romance book. It was free and I enjoyed it. I didn't realize it was going to hinge on reading the second book, meh. Interested to know what happens next, but I probably won't read the next book.

Really liked it until the end. It literally just ended, no warning, no nothing. When I looked at the next book it had different main characters so I'm unclear if we see this couple in there or not.

Good story - but now need to find the next two books.
