My Thoughts...
What a twisted but well written read that I found very hard to read. This author has given the readers a read that was simply very painful for me but knowing that this could happen in the world we live in today. Was this story a page turner? YES, because it was very important to know what would happen next. The characters well I am not sure who I felt more sorrier for...Kaniyah [Na Na] or her poor mother Spicy with both of them needing some help. What had happened with Spicy that she wouldn't tell Na Na who her father was? What will happen when Na Na meets Anthony[aka Kenan]? As you read through this story you will be presented with so many emotions and the drama that seemed to rained down so heavily in this story. Thank God that Na Na had her brothers...Kj, Ky, Kam and her best friend Rah. Well, as the story moves on we see there will be some dark secrets that will come out at last. My, my, my is all I have to say about that. You will have to pick this novel up and read it for yourself how it all comes out. It will be a story that I definitely will not forget any time soon. By the end of the story who will be their to help Na Na? Pick up this story to see!
Lawd I can't take it...this book was so good. I can't believe the drama of it all. I felt so bad for Na and Spicy. I'm glad Rah was on a better path. But please tell me why my name is LaShay and my fiancee is named Anthony got me side eyeing my dude..lol but seriously great book. Please don't take forever with the sequel, I need to know what went down with Spicy and her rapist
Kaniah loves her brothers and her bff RHA but her mama Spicey is a witch and she hates or at least treats Niyah like dirt under her show. No matter what she does straight a student, Valedictorian, no kids Spicey cannot tell Niyah why she cannot love her. It’s breaks my heart! When Niyah meets an older guy Anthony, she believes the love has been found since no father has ever been in her life, only her uncles and her brother. When Niyah has really gotten fed up with Spicey, the abuse she does not getting ready to start and Anthony has a secret, Spicey has one and when the bones start are breaking as they fall out the closet!!!!This is definitely a HEART BREAKER!!! Part 2
Yep just like I thought, I remember this book for sho! I been rocking with Niki from jump. Y'all already know she the best there is 😍😘😘 Now I can't wait for part 2 and the finale! I hope Spicy killed this dude. I knew this MF was trouble but I don't blame Na Na at all. Spicy need a ass whoopin for not being the mother that child needed. I get she went through her own hell but that situation should have bonded her with her child so they can get through it together. Now look, the damn girl done got pregnant by her nothing ass daddy smh damn shame 😬 I so can't wait for book 2 and especially 3!! I know Niki go deliver and come strong with it too 😎😘😘 I got these eyes open 👀
Where’s part 2? Don’t leave us hanging? Na Na I felt sorry for her. I’m glad her mother Spicy came to her senses. I did not like Spicy. Na Na’s uncles and brothers are crazy af!! “Anthony” Kanan was sick and twisted. He knew what he was doing the whole time and knew that NaNa was his daughter. How sick is that?! Did Spicy kill “Anthony”? Or did he escape? What happened to Na Na and her relationship with Spicy? Did Na Na keep or get rid of her baby? I need to read pt 2. Don’t leave us hanging please!!!!
This was a great book to read. At the end I felt sympathetic for Na Na. All of her life, Spicy had put her down and made her feel unworthy. The phrase “hurt people hurt people” can definitely be applied to their situation. I’m glad at the end Spicy apologized to her daughter for mistreating her all those years. Anthony was wrong for everything he did, especially for lying to his daughter. I wish there was a part 2 because I’m interested in finding out what happens next!
So rah was wrong because when she got pregnant the first time her friend wanted to stop but now that her friend is pregnant she want her to do the same thing.. but the 2nd baby she’s keeping I know she wants the best for her friends but right is right and wrong is wrong.. lord please let Anthony get what the hell he deserves I knew knew Kanyiah mama was not hurting and treating her daughter that way for no reason m.. how you rap the mom and make a baby with her and the say thing to your own child oh yes Anthony is a sick man and he need some help and get he deserves
I truly enjoyed reading this book. Wow Anthony/Kenan was sick. This book has so many twists and turns, it's not funny. My daughter found this in my kindle library and started reading it. She said mom you need to read this book. I started this afternoon and I'm done now. She said mom you are going to pass me.
I don’t think as a parent; that I have the right to hind from my child were they come from. Regardless of the circumstances. It’s my job to tell them they are their own person and make their own future and no one can take that away it’s their born right to be who they want and to find their own path.
There was no anticipation for the big finale. You told us what to look for before we got into what happened. She went from an unexperienced girl who only slept with one man to know each red flag that made her seem unrelateable. The story was dragged out (it was worth the read but Kaniyah was a bit unrealistic)
This digga baby makes me want to dirt nap his trifling @$$.....it's crazy how demented he is. This is what happens when your not truthful with your child(ren), they fall in love with psycho Joe!
The book was so predictable, and the actual writing was mediocre. There were several times I found myself literally rolling my eyes because the storyline seemed so far fetched. I think my issue is that I'm tired of reading about ghetto drama.
It is a good read...it shows that no matter what looking for something u think u missed isn't always he right thing to do n no matter how bad ur family is at times they will hold u down...
This book is good . I didn't want it to end. I'm curious to know if there's a part 2 would love to know what happens with Na and her mom. That ending though have you in your feelings . The things you tell yourself to believe that you are in love .
It was a ok book was very predictable and annoying at times. Mostly skip through the book just to get where the whole point of the book was and of course it was the end. Nana cried to much like the whole book she cried. Not my favorite read at all.
I liked the book a lot but because of the title I knew what was going to happen. The title should have been subtle, with that and the entire words in the book it would have left me more on edge. Good book though, loved it alot
Just when I thought Nikki couldn’t top the other amazing books she’s written, THIS ONE TOOK THE CAKE! 😱 She did it again, I couldn’t put it down it was soooo good!
If you haven’t already, you HAVE to read this! 🙌🏾💯
This story was packed with a lot. This story was one filled with a ton of emotion and life. You get to see how everything can come together and how it can affect you and everyone around you too.
