Lust. Love. One omega, the three men who want him in their beds. And a spell so dangerous it might kill them all.
Elliot is an omega working with three powerful men. His skills make him invaluable to creating powerful spells. The men he works for want to take down the Order, the organization that betrayed them. With their abilities put together they just might pull it off.
Sweet and wicked Jacob, brimming with magic that draws Elliot to his bed. Refined and intelligent Taryn, who shows him what it means to make love. And enigmatic Matthias, destroyer of all he touches—including, maybe, Elliot. Every moment he spends with them only increases his desire.
Together, they’re powerful beyond all measure. And their plan to destroy the Order just might work.
Elliot said yes for the money, but now he’s in over his head. It turns out that when you sleep with three powerful men—you just might wind up pregnant.
Getting out alive will take everything they’ve got. Elliot swears to protect all of the men he loves—and in doing so, bargains with his child’s future.
Because the only thing more powerful than all of them is the baby he carries...
The Harem is a novel about an omega who can’t choose between three men. But he doesn’t have to choose. He gets them all.
This is a 100,000 word steamy novel in a hot new subgenre. Welcome to the harem!
WOW! I was totally blown away by this story, it's definitely the best thing I have read from this author, and I REALLY hope MH Silver will write more in this universe!
So - reverse harem. I guess this is the new thing! :D This was my first time reading something with this type of relationship. It's basically like 1 person sleeps with the other ones, but the other ones aren't sleeping with each other. Polygamy, but they're all gay!
I LOVED the world building in this! It's like a mix of Harry Potter, early Kim Harrison's Rachel Morgan series, and urban fantasy. There are mages (Jacob is a wild mage, who has very strong powers when has enough wild magic), warlocks (That's Matthias, the serious, broody, bad ass one with a tragic past), and spell casters (That's Taryn, the Brit with great fashion sense). And then there are omegas - those who can't cast magic, but are more like the vessels to harness that magic, and that's what Elliot is. There is also the Order - the governing body to keep all magic-users in line, employed, ranked, etc.
All four of these men have their pasts, and their reasons for coming together to work on this major spell. Elliot finds himself attracted to them all, for their different personalities and what they bring to this (at first) working relationship. Throw in a pregnancy and that just ups the stakes! I loved the concept of fertility magic and how Elliot first tries to prevent it, and then everything that develops with it.
This was very different and I found myself just fully wrapped up in what was happening, both with the different relationships and also the conflict/plot. Definitely recommended if you want to try something a bit different and enjoy magic/fantasy!
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
There was so much to like about this story--such promise. Unfortunately, in my opinion, there were too many technical obstructions and disconnects for me to do anything but trudge through to the end with a sigh of "if only". I'm about to speak on editing, so if you don't care about story craftsmanship, skip the rest of this and read the book. The idea of the story is good. It's just the presentation that is miserable, as if you have bought a gorgeous designer dress only to have the hem fall out, the zipper fail, a sleeve drop off, and the side seams gape, before you get out the door. Such a disappointment.
The entire manuscript is rife with errors in editing. I'm not speaking of a missing comma. I'm referring to strings of missing words and entire phrases inserted that made no sense--as if the author had rewritten the sentence and then neglected to remove the part that was changed. There are errors where the verbs don't agree with the subject or tense. There is continual repetition of pet phrases and words. The term "just exactly" comes to mind as being egregiously overworked. Also grievous is the use of British vernacular by an American character with the setting in Manhattan, New York. This sort of thing blows my ability to "suspend disbelief" and takes me right out of the story. If the author wishes me to believe her character is American, she should not use distinctly British phraseology for his interior thoughts. There is no harm in this if your character is English...but he wasn't and I did notice and it threw me right out of the story.
I gave this story 3 stars because the premise is good and the characters could be interesting if the dreadful editing and other technical flaws in basic construction hadn't gotten in the way. Please, Ms. Silver, you have a lovely idea. Don't sabotage its success with poor editing. One further suggestion--if you are a citizen of the UK, you might consider adding an American editor to your stories that occur in the US with American characters. They will alert you to errors in vernacular.
This is a fascinating & captivating MM romance and it was a pleasure to read. This book is about: a feisty, stubborn omega and the three men/warlocks (Jacob, Taryn & Mattias) who become involved in his life. These four men go through a lot of trials & tribulations before they get their HEA. What you will find in this book is: warlocks, a omega, the order, a controlling father, fae, demons, witches, djinn, drama, intrigue, suspense, twists & turns, adventure, action, magic, abduction, danger, escape attempts, a contract, attractions, desire, imaginations, tenacity, humor, friendship, greed, gateways, conflict, memories, explanations, unexpected surprise, jealousy, fear, a bargain, successful rescue attempt, betrayal, alternative realm, lust, passion, love and steamy erotic scenes. The characters are interesting with individual personalities and react with varying emotions according to the situations they find themselves in. The story-line is impressive, well-thought out and written, the plot is taut and terrific and keeps the reader’s attention. I, thoroughly enjoyed reading this book & would recommend it. “I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and I am voluntarily leaving a review.”
A bit long, but well-designed, world building full of magic, supernatural creatures, multiple dimensions, and, through it all, a white hot attraction quickly established between omega hero Elliot and three hot mages.
Elliot (and the reader) enjoys many steam-filled encounters, always one on one, between Elliot and the mage posse that hired him to assist in their top secret plan to deal with the Order, a powerful mage organization from which they are hiding. The idea of Elliot's ability to multiply their powers was out of the ordinary and led to some imaginative ploys to save their butts throughout the prep and execution of their plans.
I liked the plot but felt it moved a little slowly at times. If you like your magic with some battles, chases and frequent bouts of super hot intimacy, this could be a winner.

First foray into the male harem genre. What a surprise this was. The omega Elliot has the mystical talent to absorb others magic so he can scrape by a living. He's kidnapped by three powerful warlocks who have a plan (desire) to overthrow The Order, the organization that betrayed each of these warlocks. These warlocks are different as night and day, twilight and morning: kind Jacob, charming Taryn, and Matthias, the enigma of the three. Elliot has been kidnapped by these three to fulfill their devious plan by acting as the link between each other's powers to cast an important spell. All Elliot has to do is sign a contract, a very profitable contract giving him lots of money when successfully completed, binding all four together so magical spells can be cast upon the waters of paranormal mysticism. I got an ARC of this book through Booksprout and this is my willing and honest opinion.
There were several inconsistencies in this book that, in addition to some basic editing errors, repeatedly forced me out of the story. At first, the Order was described as the governing body for all of the magical US, if not North America, only to later become a horribly corrupt mob-like group localized in New York City. Or the many and repeated instances of incorrect tense, wrong names, and either the wrong word, or extra words inserted into a sentence.
Overall, the story was enjoyable, but I kept on being pulled out of the story because of the above, or because I just got bored during the sex scenes.
Elliott always knew him being an omega was a disappointment to his father. Jacob, Taryn, and Matthias are all working together towards a common goal. They need Elliott's help to complete their work. Will Elliott give into his feelings for all the men? Will the men be willing to work together towards a future?
Definitely a steamy read. I loved how each of the men brought something different to the relationship and were able to work together towards a complete goal. Loved how Elliott was able to work with them to bring or highlight out better sides. Good read!

Elliot is an omega in a world regulated by the Order. He goes underground after leaving his father, who is a powerful member of the Order. He is kidnapped by 3 magical men who are not only with great powers but hard to resist. He embarks on a mission which is dangerous and illegal. It's an amazing world of mages and the omega who can bring 3 men to their knees. Action, suspense and a whole lot of romance in this epic harem story.
Great fantasy of Omegas and their Alphas trying to make for a better place. The story line gives a feel of being there and getting lost in their reality. Elliot is an Omega that has valuable skills that are needed by three Alphas each have powers of their own. Overall a great read and great way to get lost in another world.

This book is so very different than any other book I've read. I was hooked from first page!!!!! I don't as a rule read single books. I like to read series. I want to see where the characters go, how the grow and to see families evolve. I would really like to find out what happens to these guys and their son!
I have mixed feelings on this one. I liked the story, but I would really like more. I want the guys’ life after the little is born and I really want to be sure that baby gets a perfect life.
M.J. Silver has written a beautiful and intriguing MM Omegaverse romance filled with thrilling moments and enjoyable and complex characters you'll fall in love with instantly.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Readers Copy of this book. And I enjoyed this story immensly.
