Hey, y'all! Glad you found me. I decided to write books when I got bored one day and a scene was playing out in my head. When it wouldn't turn me loose, I grabbed the laptop. Then it sat for a year until I attended a book conference and heard Sylvia Day speak on confidence. I was sold. Surely I could do this! The rest is history.

I'm a proud Gen-X, wife, and mom to some grown ups. My husband and I are not really sure what we're supposed to be doing as empty-ish nesters. I have some dogs and cats that keep me entertained. I also officiate weddings and crochet far too much (yarn stash, anyone?)

I read more than I write and I feel guilty about it sometimes. But I'm working on it.

Quick read

I'm still reeling from what I just read. The book is a quick read and has a few twist. The ending has me stunned.

An interesting short story with a compelling narration style that drew me right in to the world of a mysterious Carnivale Mystique. Our main narrator, Coen, is quickly given a personality and backstory enough to make him believable, and his interactions with the eerie Lyra understandable (despite technically being insta-love, it wasn't the eye-roll-inducing kind because plot reasons that worked for me). Maybe a little rushed in the more action oriented sequences towards the end. It feels rather like an introductory story into a wider world or paranormal strangeness, but works well as a stand alone short for anyone wanting a quick tale of the (sort of) unexpected.
