Forced apart by society's inability to handle the admittedly unusual relationship Gia Jefferson has with Luke Gray and Josh Henderson, she's the one left to deal with the consequences of being unorthodox. Rather than pout, she bravely decides to deal with the aftermath of her past. An aftermath that has to remain secret, even from the men she adores and trusts with her very life. Such secrets can destroy the foundations of any partnership, but one as finely tuned as their throuple is even more delicate and more susceptible to strain.
Secrets are a way of life for Gia, but they're a hard limit for a man like Josh, whose career has made him paranoid. With her mother's life on the line, Gia is left with few options, putting their relationship straight on the tipping point.
When revelations from Josh's past slither in from out of nowhere, and with Luke's appeal still up in the air, Gia's men flounder in the face of her sudden need for secrecy. Can the trio make it work or will life's curveball decimate the strength of their love?

So I am a horrible person? nah that cant be it.. I am an addicted reader.. that's it!! I read all three of the published books literally back to back without even a potty break in between. The author can write a MMF book and make it sounds so natural that you sometimes forget how society finds it taboo. since I read them back to back I don't want to accidently give spoilers for a book and ruin anything for people who are only reading one book at a time. this series is about Josh, Luke, Gia and their shared daughter of Lexi. the relationship is more intense than a basic relationship and you really feel each characters love for the other. Nothing feels like a third wheel or empty emotions. The love Josh has for Luke is intense and yet separate for the love Josh has for Gia or Gia for Luke or for the three of them together. Each romance is pure and beautiful and each story has a huge overlapping story as well as small issues and conflicts. Oh and you better believe every single book has a cliffhanger that makes you scream! Below I will try to give you a brief review of each book separately.
The luck of love had the issue of Lexi being bullied at school and not understanding that her having two daddies and a mommy was not a normal thing that is accepted. Gia broke my heart and made me so happy with her choice on how to resolve their issues. This book also introduces everyone on how the four of them found a home together. Gia may not be the strong player in what she brings to the table but she is fierce and loyal.
In the Power of Love we run into Luke and his return from his horrible deployment and what happened along the way. This book was intense because I didn't know how any of it would turn out I thought so many horrible things. this book deals with PTSD and the withdrawal people feel when they come back from a deployment. As someone who read this book on the way home from the deployment I was surprised I didn't hate it and a lot of it made total and complete sense! (the rank however I could not understand just because mentally the age I place the characters at and the rank have some flaws). This book doesn't have the intense sexual aspect that book 1 did but its focus is on the intense EMOTIONAL aspect that is the overlapping story.
In the strength of Love it follows closely where book 2 ended still deep in the distress of the major issues of book 2. I cant really summarize this book without completely giving away book 3 besides it is still an emotionally charged book with some of the authors known humor and quirks. I think book 3 is the better of the three books but the cliffhanger about killed me. ... to the point where I emailed the author and was soooo mad about the cliffhanger begging for a book 4!
all in all .. I recommend the series ... to be binge read~!!!
Come ON! Another freakin' crazy ass cliffhanger!? Consider this me throwing a temper tantrum!
When Gia's husband Lucas is "Other Than Honorably Discharged" from the Army, her other husband Josh is determined to clear his name any way he can. That means Gia is temporarily banished from their daughter and her men so as not to add their ménage fuel to the Army's fire. Pregnant and alone, Gia needs her own mama something fierce, a risk she hasn't taken in years. Meanwhile, Josh and Luke are up to their ears in PTSD, raising a future Mensa member and military hearings, all without the woman who owns their hearts. But when Gia comes back home, will the lies and omissions catch up to them all or will their family finally break apart?
THE STRENGTH OF LOVE is the third book in The Luck of Love series, and it's just as freakin incredible as the other two!! Listen, Ms. Akeroyd can write ménage like nobody's business, and not just the sexy times. She delves a lot deeper than many ménage writers out there, giving her characters a depth that's truly unmatched in the MMF world. Luke's struggles with PTSD and injury were utterly gut wrenching, and the love between him and Josh is truly something fierce. Gia's role was limited in the first half of the book, so if you haven't read the first two books in this series you might not realize that she's an integral part of this family until later on. And she was kind of treated poorly by Josh, which just broke my heart given what the woman has gone through.
Now I know I said that Ms. Akeroyd wasn't all about the delicious bedroom enjoyment, but when she goes there, even those who aren't fans of guy on guy on girl would convert. She writes so lovingly, you just know that these characters mean the world to her. But seriously. WHY DO YOU INSIST ON LEAVING US HANGING WITH YOUR ENDINGS!? And I have no clue when the next edition is coming out and it's STRESSING ME OUT, MAN! Ugh. Get this book, and its predecessors, STAT.
Bottom Line: No OM/OW; loads of hot and sexy sharing between a committed MMF ménage; no condom use; no BDSM; kink (I mean, it's one woman with two men...kinky); no sexual assault or violence/murder (though all three were implied in backstories).
Not predictable! A steadily building storyline. I wasn't expecting the turns and twists of the story. That was a good thing! While not a fan of a three part story I'm determined to see how the author brings this one in!
