It started with a dream. A dream where the hunter was hunted by a baying pack lusting for blood and power. And when he awoke from that dream, Lacklan Walker, ten year veteran of the SAS, knew his days of killing were not over yet. They would never be over until the pack was dead.
This would be a mission like none other. Now he would answer to nobody but himself. He could have no allies, no support, no back up, because what he was going to do was nothing less than assassination.
Murder.
To protect his family, for the good of the nation and perhaps the world, Lacklan must go to LA, to Hollywood; take upon himself the triple mantle of Judge, Jury and Executioner – and there assassinate one of the country’s best loved household names: writer, director and producer of the USA’s most popular TV series, Aaron Fenninger…

Blake Banner goes dark for "Kill: One," the seventh in the Omega series starring ex-SAS soldier Lacklan Walker. The novel starts with a sweet bucolic scene of Walker in his estate, sharing it with the woman he has fallen in love with and his family's two longtime employees. Perfection. But Walker worries that his time is limited. That he must end the threat to his sanctuary by Omega, a massive worldwide organization that his father once played a leading role in. Omega wants to perpetuate mankind in a gentler, softer world without starvation, climate change and geopolitical upheaval. The only rub is the secret group wants to wipe out most of the global population and get the rest to follow its directives in lockstep through mind control. So Walker decides he's got to kill the leadership, once and for all. He's got a list of the members. At least some of them, those who control North America for Omega. They're movers and shakers. Some of the most powerful people in the business world. And Walker's approach is his go-to. He gets his arsenal, drives his Mustang and stakes out his target. Basically, Banner sets him up as a straight-up murderer, a hit man. He's got his reasons. But the bad guys don't get the same kind of workup, at least at first. I'm reading this thinking, "Who's the bad guy?" Then Banner delves deeper and reminds me why I love his stories. He tosses in new information, new players. He adds details that further explain the evil of Omega and why it must be destroyed at all cost. There's an exchange with the wife of a target that's short but brutal. Walker keeps her safe but has to destroy her world.
He grabbed his bipod and his rifle, gasping as if burned, before he cuddled his treasure to lie prone on the ground. Deeper breaths escaped his lips as he looked through his new $ 2,000 scope. The highway lay within range, just four hundred yards away. The brush provided perfect cover for his car and him. His target would be unmistakable—an old blue Ford truck, speckled with Bondo, pulling a flatbed. A scheduled drop would make the task easy. Purvis—too sloppy, too addicted, too stupid to be valuable . . . anymore. Nestling into a spot, the hit man grinned and sighted his gun on the highway in full view.
This book is very interesting and intriguing! Once again a man has given up his normal life for that of a assassin! He doesn't kill for the sake of killing but for justice. Fighting against a team of people who have set about finding ways to kill 90% of the people on earth. Now, after a long week hunting for the intended target he finds himself in a battle between loving and hating himself. He just found out that one of the men who's life he has taken is probably his own brother, oh my gosh!! He is an extremely strong man who will find a way to carry on , one way or another!
Lacklan, ex SAS, a highly trained individual. His arch enemy is the Omega group. Extremely wealthy and powerful individuals. They want to curtail the population growth, famine and anyone who sides against them. Their answer? They create incidents that curtail population growth. Man made disasters. Lacklan is eliminating their leadership utilizing his areas of expertise of extreme prejudice. An excellent fast moving read! Enjoyed immensely.
This one was a non stop thriller that deeply expressed the heart of the series. To leave with so many unanswered questions twists and turns. Lacklan has eliminated Omega only to find that he killed his very own brother who died wanting to be named a nameless soul. How tragic to deal with the guilt and the betrayal.
BY has penned the 7th Novel in the Omega Series. Our Intrepid SA S retiree decided that it is time for him to eliminate the Omega members that control the US. He makes his plans, leaves and arrived in California and commenced to wage war on Omega. They s is an excellent read for the genre.....DEHS
Lackland finds himself in another bloodbath. He goes up against the top guys in Omega but finds there has been some organization following him waiting to help. This is a goid story and also shows the inside of a msn that can be so ruthless yet so caring and loving.
The story continues and the plot thickens. These books are so hard to put down and the action always has me on the edge of my seat. I now look forward to reading the next book, Powder Burn. A big thank to the author and from me a well deserved 5 Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Oh man, I did not expect that ending! Wow I’m totally shocked! It never occurred to me that Ben was Lacklan’s brother or even remotely kin to him. Needless to say, book 7 has become my favorite of this series!
I have deeply enjoyed reading Lacklen Walker stories. Hopefully their will be a 8th book. The action and the suspense is what keeps the book worth reading. Thank you Mr. Banner, hope to see more new books.
This is the last book in this series. This is a ten star series. A great thriller . I hate for it to end . This series is well worth reading. I highly recommend this book if you enjoy reading a book you can't put down. Read this series.
There was of course lots of action, violence, good sub plots but There was also an interesting philosophical angle about ethics and how to make decisions. Yes, interesting.
Well you never know where one of these stories take you. I have a feeling its a very intriguing place.if you take the time to follow and read these books. Well worth.the time. Enjoy.
The ending hurt. I figured out his title and I figured the connection but dang. I really wish that could have ended differently. I know this isn't a unicorn and rainbows type of book, but that's just sad.
Excellent thriller. Pounding action though out. Some surprise twists. I have read the whole series and this is the best. Can't wait for the next book in the series.
The ultimate in conspiracy theories of today but quite believable because of human nature. The hero is somewhat unbelievable in his ability to succeed in spite of the odds.
Like the others I have read in this series it was difficult to put down. Blake Banner has written this with the suspense that a great crime mystery must have.
The family of Lackland Walker has a unbelievable history. And Kill One tells the tale. I enjoyed this exciting novel. It stays in my mind, It won’t let go.
