Oh Tequila #3

Just One Touch

Rate this book
I should have known this would happen...

Nothing about my fraternity was ever simple. Parties, tequila – tons of tequila – and wild souvenirs from our kind of crazy.

Never, and I do mean never, did I expect my brother’s girl to target me in a midnight prank. A prank that backfired and left me squealing in pain.

Have you ever seen those shows, the ones that say the “dirty deed” sent you to the ER? Well, I went to the ER, and yes, my manhood was involved. Let me just say I gained absolutely no pleasure from it. Unless, of course, you consider that sweet nurse who treated me.

The problem? She hated me…and I had no idea why, but I wasn’t willing to let her walk away until I figured it out.

Emelie was feisty, and I’d never felt the type of excitement I did after spending only five seconds in her line of fire. I was gonna enjoy this...way more than I should, and I knew it.

She saw, she conquered, and I was defeated.
All it took was just one touch, and oh, what a ride it was.

Favorite Quotes:

Corbin and I grew up in a town called Morehead, Kentucky. My parents were older before they’d decided to start a family, and they said after they had us, they knew they were done.

I’m not even sure if you’d call us friends. More like we were stuck in the same car for eleven hours and I had to count to ten a whole bunch of times and remember that I’m not the prison type.

My Review:

I have relished every cleverly amusing installment of this series. CA Harms has a wicked sense of humor and I adore her brand of sassy levity, spirited banter, and naughty hijinks. The storylines were sweet, heart squeezing, and relevant while the characters were endearing and adorable. I needed a fun read and this quick and engaging read was more than timely.

Oh, God. A bond between a guy and a child. That’s something that touches deep inside me. It was breathtaking how Clayton bonded with Ethan and how that was incredible to Emelie.

”Emelie was my girl, my everything. Fu**, being lost in one woman, knowing she could destroy me so easily if she wanted to should have terrified me. I should feel weak and vulnerable, but instead I felt powerful and indestructible.”

I loved this book, right along with the first two in the series. They’re all amazing and I recommend to everyone who enjoyed laughing and loving with the story. The sneak peek of Corbin’s story was great. I didn’t find it anywhere, so I imagine it’s was not released yet, but I can’t wait. Palmer and Corbin are a disaster waiting to happen. A beautiful one, off course.

My favorite of the series so far!!

I loved seeing these characters become more because of each other. Clayton honestly never made any dumb moves, in fact he worked hard to show Emelie that she could trust her and Ethan's hearts with him. Em was just trying so hard to please the wrong people, ignoring her own wants and needs in the process. I have to say I love Em's best friend Palmer!!! Can Clayton get Em to give him a chance? Will her past destroy her future?

I will say, I still wouldn't fall asleep in this frat house! lol

This is the third book in this series and it keeps getting better each time :)
This story is about single mom, Emelie and one of the jokesters' of the frat house, Clayton. Their first encounter and interaction was funny as hell as well as awkward too but it was the start of pursuit of Emelie by Clayton, who is not put off by Emelie's constant rejections, yet she has her reasons...

I kind of understood Emelie's point of view that she needed to protect her adorable son, Ethan, since his own biological father rejected them both since the beginning and signed off his rights to Ethan and with that guy, there's a major twist that caught me by surprise and so will you because neither of us would have expected it to be who it was but I wouldn't want to live in the frat house either after Clayton finds out nor would I want to visit if I were Emelie either, but anyways, getting sidetracked here, like I said before, I understood Emelie's hesitance but not all men are like "the one who shall remain unnamed" aka Ethan's technically sperm donor since Emelie did everything on her own. For that, I do have to give her props as well as all single mothers' out there who have the strength, the will power and courage to be a single mother, especially when not given the choice to, I applaud all of them like Emelie because she's an amazing mother to her little boy <3

Luckily, Clayton was able to demonstrate to Emelie that he was different from Ethan's biological father and not only did he fall in love with Emelie but also with her son, Ethan. He shared a special bond with little Ethan and it was beautiful to witness as the story progressed and I loved him even more because you could feel he loved that little boy like he was his own flesh and blood <3

Of course, before getting their happy ending, these two have to face obstacles, some misunderstandings/miscommunication but let's be honest, in the real world, there's always obstacles to overcome and these two did and at the end, come out much stronger and their love and bond as a family even stronger and beautiful to read about too <3

Also, loved the epilogue and the teaser we get from the author... well, I can't wait to read Corbin and Palmer's story next ;)

Emelie gets her first good look at Clayton when he shows up in her ER after a prank super gluing his hands goes wrong and a very different appendage gets caught in the disaster. As his nurse, Emelie won’t give Clay the time of day, but they’re in a college class together and he's not giving up. Emelie continues to put Clay off, and it’s not until a chance encounter at the laundry mat, where Emelie sees how Clay responds to something very important to her, that she opens her life and heart to him.

The turn-off of NA/YA novels for me is that the characters are typically written so immaturely and any conflict or crisis arises out of the immature attitudes and behavior rather than from external sources. I’d sooner stab my eye with a rusty fork than deal with a whiney, bratty, selfish heroine. None of that with this author, thankfully. Emelie and Clay were phenomenal. Yes, a few frat-style antics ensued, but both of these characters were complex and deep with a strength, character and maturity that was refreshing to find in this genre.

The conflict was representative of the way life tends to get messy all on its own, and Clay and Emelie's reactions were realistic and refreshingly honest, which only served to make me love them more. The true talent of CA Harms is that she can create realistically flawed and abundantly endearing characters without the typical props used by many YA authors. She relies on real-life situations to provide drama, conflict and angst, and the characters come out on the other side having learned and grown with their relationship more solidly cemented. This approach not only provides a terrific reading experience but also models positive responses to trying circumstances, so it’s a double win for me.

I easily fell for Emelie and Clay, as well as all the secondary characters, so I’m eager to get my hands on more of this series. Even those who aren’t YA fans will enjoy this book and won’t be able to resist Clay, Emelie and their friends. The characters effortlessly draw in the reader, winning her heart with their authenticity, light-heartedness and strength. Don’t miss this evocative, sweet, humorous story from the Oh Tequila series!

Sexy. Sweet. Laugh out loud. The Oh' Tequila series is back with its third standalone installment and it is not one to be missed. Just One Touch was brilliantly written and expertly told and our favorite frat brothers are back as another finds love when he's least expecting it.

Who knew a trip to the ER after a prank gone wrong would change everything and shake up their lives forever. For Emelie and Clayton it's gonna do just that. She's a single mom trying to push through in life. He's a college frat boy that is gonna swept off his feet by these two...but don't worry, they totally will too.

Em and Clayton wrecked my heart in all the best ways possible and I regret absolutely nothing (I completely ignored life for these two until their journey was long over). I adored and admired how he pushed her, proving over and over she and her son were his choice... how he picked her and the family she created over everything else, not letting anything in his path. Not only that but their chemistry and magnetic pull... addicting in every way possible.

Now they weren't without their hurdles and complications but gah! the journey through it all, so worth it.

I am on pins and needles for the next in this series.... Corbin is so gonna be worth the wait.

I highly recommend this book.

My fave in the series

Well, well, well... Hello, Clayton!!! Nothing sexier than seeing a man with a kid, let me tell ya!

My heart hurt for Emelie and everything she had been through, but it definitely made her the amazing woman that she was now. And Clayton? Well, seeing how smitten he was with her and Ethan had me swooning!

There was some comedy, drama, and sexiness all combined, making this an addictive read from beginning to end.

Now, I cannot wait to read Corbin and Palmer's book!

LOVED this one! Favorite so far in this series!!

This is book three in the Oh Tequila series and each can be read as a standalone. While you do see crossover characters you are never felt left out of anything that may occur at this fraternity house and boy these antics and pranks just keep getting better and more hilarious (OK even more ouch-full too) as you read each book in this series. I fell in love with each book and characters, but for some reason I have to say while all the others had a touching story this one melted my heart a little more. There were so many topics portrayed in this story that your heart melted one minute and burned the next and it wasn’t the Tequila doing the burning this time.
It’s Clayton’s turn to get a story and boy for those of us who may have judged him even a little bit as a typical frat boy, think again once you read this story we see a side of Clay that touches your heart with that One Touch and those actions. Don’t get me wrong he was still a comedic with the frat boys and the girlfriends who may just be better at the pranks than the boys, just saying.
Emelie is the ER nurse and oh the things she sees is something many people would be embarrassed to know they just became a story in the making after she tends to them. She is not only feisty she is driven, and she doesn’t let her background stop her from succeeding in life and her career. You may even tear a time or two with her story. The things Clayton does to develop even a friendship with her is touching and heartfelt and attempts to keep him away for the right reasons, but she can self-doubt the feelings all she wants cause you will see he isn’t your typical frat boy and Palmer just may the one to help her see this.
Palmer her BF is a true and faithful friend to Emelie. She never judges Emelie and is her back bone in many things, I’ll say it best to avoid spoilers. Palmer and the other frat twin have a story whether it was a touch, a shot of Tequila or a prank, but there is a story going on there, so we can only hope that they either end up next in the series or that if they don’t end up together that we get a double story on these secondary characters.
There is not a book by CA that you do not fall in love with or take a story away with you, but this may just be my favorite in this series or by her in general and that’s tough cause she has never disappointed us with these stories she writes and no two of her books are ever the same in any series she writes. I love her as an author and one of these days I will get a chance to read all her books not just some of each series.

Book 3 in the Oh’ Tequila Series

After waking up and finding himself subjected to prank by his fellow frat brothers. An unfortunate accident involving his ‘tenders’ and a toilet seat ends in a trip to the Emergency Room.

No one is more shocked that Clayton when the ER nurse assisting the doctor is none other than the pretty girl who shares some of his college classes, never stopping back to talk to friends...he has noticed her before and something about her calls to him......

Now if only get the same examination from her that the doctor is giving his junk!

After spending hours on her feet on a night shift, the last thing Emelie wants is to have to deal with a flirty, frat boy. Even if he is attractive. She will not be distracted by a pretty, accident prone party boy.

Emelie is driven, she has plans and goals more so than any other 21 year old college student....and the biggest of which is providing a better future her and her 2 year old son, Ethan. After being made to feel like a disappointment, failure and less than worthy by her unsupportive parents... after a further chance encounter where Clayton meets Ethan, Emelie finally realises her mistake in tarring Clayton with the same brush as the father of her child.

Clayton is so much more than just a frat boy...and how very very wrong she was to judge him based on her past. and as they are drawn closer together she realises that Just one touch from this man could be dangerous for her and her heart. This book was not only filled with truly comedic moments, between Clayton and his frat mates and their girlfriends.. it was also filled with truly tender and beautiful moments. Moments between Clayton and Emelie... moments between Clayton and Ethan.. despite her attempts to keep him at arms length, filled by all her reservations and self doubt Emelie cannot stay away from Clayton.  Their developing relationship was sweet..even with their numerous misunderstandings and mistakes.

So So So much more than just a new adult/college romance.

I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE the Oh Tequila Series, as each one is getting better and better, so I can't seem to pick my favorite one out. I can say this, that I will read them over and over again throughout the years, because they are that amazing. And yes, they are written by one of my favorites of all times, C.A. Harms, who is simply brilliant, who never gets boring, who keeps penning new & amazing stories, year after year. But let me get to it. Clayton is part of the crazies frat on campus in my opinion. Their pranks frankly, have me laughing until tears are streaming from my eyes, and that's how he really meets Emelie, when a prank gone wrong lands him in the ER. Of course, it has to do with his manhood, so yeah, it's quite the meeting. He's always had his eye on her, but she's so serious, that she's never given him the time of day, in fact, she's acted like she's hated him, but she's the student nurse on duty, so now she's seen all of him. That opens some doors, but he still can't quite get her to talk to him. Until he runs into her at the laundromat, and learns that she's a single mother. Her little boy loves him instantly, and that finally opens the doors, because he shows her that not all men are like the one who fathered her son. This story had a lot of angst in it, so my heart was squeezed a lot. That didn't take away from the laughter either, because even though the pranks had me dying, so did Emelie's bestie & her tiny human, who liked to run naked. So the cast of secondaries really added serious humor to balance out the serious. Then there was Clayton & Emelie, who had amazing chemistry, and when they finally sealed the deal, it lit the sheets on fire! There was of course drama, since Emelie has some baggage, which came in the form of some twists that got the f-bombs dropping. So see? This was a EPIC story that ticks off all the boxes to make it a story that I can honest HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!

Funny, poignant, intense and romantic. CA Harms does it again-more successfully than ever.

Oh happy day! When I heard the next book about our frat house brothers was in the works, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it, and again CA Harms didn’t disappoint. Each of these books in the series gets better as we see the characters become fully developed personalities, and the frat house family gets bigger. After Blake’s story of her home life in Book 2, we now see she’s become the top gun of pranks, and she’d set her sights on Clayton who ended up in the ER with an injury to his family jewels as the result of a glue incident going wrong!

Emelie is the ER nurse on duty, and even though Clayton has till now been trying to charm his way into her good graces, she’s a hater. He’ll still do his best, and when he finds out why she hates frat boys, he’s still not running. In fact, with the help of Morgan and Blake, the new girls in their group, he’s going for broke.

I literally cried for Emelie and her situation, especially during the most moving scene with Clay in the laundromat. They were absolutely mummy tears on my part, and my heart melted *sigh*. And, with each chapter I fell even more in love with Clay. CA Harms created the most loving of males from the remnants of a hideous frat boy, who even by his own admission, says his mother would be disgusted with.

I enjoyed every page of this book, and hit it in one sitting. A couple of dramas did remain unresolved, but maybe that’s something that will show up in future books, who knows, it certainly didn’t detract from my reading enjoyment. So, 5 Stars from me, and I’m looking forward to the promise of the next book! Guaranteed great reading, seriously.

Hilarious and sexy - perfect combination

I'm loving the Oh Tequila series, and Just One Touch is definitely the best of the series so far. C.A. Harms' humour really shines through with this one. She enables her characters to be witty, sassy, sweet, sexy, strong and independent all at once. This is Emelie and Clayton's story and it is brilliant.

This is not an instalove story and I think that's what I really enjoyed about it. Emelie is an ER nurse, and she just happens to be on duty when Clayton arrives, thanks to a prank pulled by his brother's girlfriend. When he realises that Emelie is the pretty girl from his classes he is thrilled. Just one touch from her has him wanting more, and he will do anything to get Emelie. She's had a hard life and has difficulty in trusting people, so she's not going to let Clayton have everything his own way. Clayton sees this as a challenge, one he readily accepts.

The reason I loved this story so much is the way Clayton goes about trying to win Emelie's heart. Is soft and tender with her, completely opposite to what one would expect from your typical frat boy. He gives her room to breathe, but also allows her to realise that he's not going to let her down. She tries to fight her feelings towards him, but slowly her barriers are being brought down. There are numerous challenges and hurdles put in their path, however these are two strong people who will stand against any adversity.

Wonderful book, great writing and terrific characters - what more do you need? Absolutely a recommended read. I can't wait to read more books in this series.

This series is a fave of mine. I've thoroughly enjoyed the antics of the frat house in the first two books and Clayton is a trip, so I was really looking forward to this installment.

*Probable spoilers ahead*

Overall, great story. I LOVED how Clayton was with Ethan. He so easily stepped into the father role. Even before he knew Ethan was Em's son, he was cute with him. I could totally understand Em's reluctance to get into a relationship with Clayton. After all, she hadn't had good luck with frat boys in the past and what parent wants to let their kid get attached to someone who may not stick around.

I had a bit of trouble with the parent drama. I get that books need drama or they'd be boring to read, but Em's dad showing up, out of the blue, after 3 years of nothing, on the ONE night she goes out and stays overnight seems a bit contrived. I held judgment to see where it went, but it didn't really add anything to the story. Yes, her father stated no more rent, but other than a couple of quick conversations about it, we don't see it affect her or her life. And the hiccup in their relationship wasn't really, so it seemed gratuitous.

The Mark drama seemed a little dramatic. He won't talk to talk to her for 2 days? Now he has a better understanding of how she felt about Dana. But it was stretched a little thin.

These were the only 2 things that bothered me about the story and I can't say they really bothered me. It's a great read and cute addition to the Oh Tequila series.

New Adult Romance can be a hit or miss type of book for me, but Just One Touch by C.A. Harms was a hit! I really enjoyed reading this story and it was also a single parent romance which is a trope I love to read about. I think that just added a little something extra and made for more mature characters that can still have fun like the young adults they are.

Just One Touch was very amusing and entertaining. This group of boys that live together in a frat house are crazy! They play so many pranks on each other that are hilarious, but at the same time have each other’s backs through anything life throws at them.

Just one Touch by C.A. Harms is a really sweet story. Clayton and Emilie’s story is just so heartwarming. Together they can really go through anything and come out stronger. And Clayton is amazing with Emilie’s son. They are just the sweetest together and this really shows how mature Clayton can also be. He is taking responsibility of this family at a young age, something that not many would do. I really liked that especially because many times in NA romance stories the characters are really immature.

I’m looking forward to reading more about this group of friends and all their antics. I highly recommend Just One Touch by C.A. Harms to any lover of New Adult Romance or Single Parent Romance stories.

Happy Reading!

Just One Touch by CA Harms is the third book in the Oh´Tequila Series. Every book is about another couple and can be read as a standalone.
The previous books are Just One Chance and Just One Taste.

Clayton Powell is part of a fraternity, he parties hard, consumes Tequila - tons of it and loves to play parnks. The latest prank played by his brother´s girlfriend leads him to the ER in a hospital and there he meets Her. The nurse who seems to hate him.
Emelie is a feisty young woman who despises brainless college students who acts like - yes brainless. The last example lies before her at her place of work. But there´s something about him.
For Clay all it took was one touch and he was a goner, he knows he wants her, she´s his nemesis. Only she doesn´t want him. She has enough complications in her life as it is and she doesn´t need Clay to make it more difficult.
Clay and Emelie have a lot of work to do, their love gets challenged hard and there are thrown some wrenches their way.
Just One Touch is a beautiful story with great characters. I liked the writing and the words and give 4,5 stars.

4 out of 5 stars

I have really enjoyed watching the frat brothers in this series get wrapped up in girls and find themselves to be new men...though I don’t think Clayton really had to become a new man, he just found a new focus!

Emelie has a crazy life - job, 2nd job, school, apartment to pay for...and a toddler son (Ethan) to take care of. Clayton is living the college life - pretty easy going and party centered, but after his encounter with Emile at the ER, he can’t get her out of his head and he’s determined to make her his.

I loved how much Clayton loved Emilie and Ethan from the very beginning. I loved how Emilie’s best friend Palmer was so pushy in getting them together. The flow and pace was done well and I never felt like anything was missing. The drama was handled well and didn’t overtake the story. I felt the story was really centered around their love from beginning to end!

I really enjoyed this story from beginning to end and only hope that we’ll see more of them in the future books in this series!

Just one touch is book three in the oh tequila series. I devoured this story in one sitting and was left wanting more. I really liked this story. I liked Clayton. Although he came across as a prankster and a fuck boy, once he set his sites on Emilie, he was committed. He wanted her and was determined to break through her defences. Clayton actually had a sensitive side, which I found quite surprising.
I liked Emilie. I liked that she was sensible but I wanted her to start living and have fun. Although I will admit that I understood the reasons she was closed off. I liked that she was a good mom to her little boy, her love for him was undeniable. I loved the bond that Ethan had with Clayton, it was instant. I loved that Clayton instantly accepted that Emilie had a son.
I liked that Palmer was the one that got Emilie to give Clayton a chance. The chemistry between him and Emilie was clear to see and I liked them as a couple. I hated how Emilie was treated by her father. I hated that he treated Ethan the way he did.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read. I cannot wait for Corbin and Palmer’s story, I need it now.

I loved every moment of the Oh Tequila series because of the memorable characters and each book has been special but I think the latest “Just One Touch” is beyond amazing. This is Clayton’s story and I have been praying we would get his story and now here it is. It is beyond fabulous!!!! The story of Clayton & Emelie is another sexy and fun read that I couldn’t put down until I read it over and over. IT was that awesome. Emelie is a single mother who is raising her son all on her on with the help of her best friend until Clayton comes onto the scene. Clayton has wanted Emelie since he met her but she refused to give him the time of day. Then he finds out she has a young son so he sets out to win her heart by not turning his back on her and her son, to show her that he is the man for them. This shows the twists and turns, the ups and downs that affect their relationship. Oh and of course we still have the pranks that take place, the fun humor that is there between the main characters and the secondary characters. What really touched my heart is this book really touched my heart deep between the romance between Clayton and Emelie. It was beautiful to watch Clayton take the emotional walls that Emelie has, help take them down and help her see that he is the right man while she shows Clayton that he is ready to be the man that he showed promise of being in the previous other books in this series. I found this book to be a favorite of mine. This is such a swoonworthy read and I cant wait to read more in the Oh Tequila series.

My Rating: 4.7 stars *****

Somebody come hold me. I’m never going to get over the fact this book ended. I never wanted it to end. I could have stayed happily reading Clayton and Emelie’s story. *PS, superb name choice there! I may be biased since the only other person I’ve seen spell Emelie that way is the woman I named my daughter after, but still. Excellent name choice!* I’m fully addicted to the Oh, Tequila series and I thought for sure these books could not get any better but HOOMAHGAWD is Just One Touch amazing!!! Truthfully I will probably reread this book countless times. That’s how much I love it.
One of the most notorious pranksters, Clayton seems to be no more than an arrogant frat boy who lives to party but we should all know better now when it comes to the boys in that house. Not only does he have a huge... ya know *wink* he’s got a huge heart to match! The man is filled with so much sweetness you will not be prepared for the level of swoon. I thought I’d died and gone to heaven when I was reading Emelie and Clayton’s story. My heart can’t handle how happy they made me!

Just One Touch is a new adult/college romance, and the third title in the Oh, Tequila series. It's a fun, sweet and heartwarming story with complex and endearing characters.

This story of a college frat boy, and a single mother is jam packed full of heat, heart and humor.

Emilie is sassy, strong, feisty and driven. She's resilient, and incredibly hard working

Clayton is such a fun, enigmatic character. On one hand he's a flirty, confident and self assured and is known to pull of a prank with the best of them. But he's also devoted, caring, and loving and will do anything to prove his good intentions and devotion to Emilie and her young son.

The chemistry that Emelie and Clayton share not only intense and passionate, but believable.

I read this title in one sitting. I haven't read the previous titles as yet, but after reading Just One Touch, you can bet they are both now sitting on my kindle I cannot wait to read the next installment in the Oh, Tequila series and look forward to the hijinks and humor that is sure to ensue.

after drinking way to much too much tequila Clayton found himself waking up in the middle of the night having to pee but finding his hands were super glued together. once he figured out how to get outta bed, open the door he next challenge was how was he going to pee so he went to sit down only to get himself pinched between the toilet and the lid and well for a man thats not a good feel and he ended up in the ER. the one nurse he never thought he would see was Emilie and she hated his guts and he had no idea why. Emilie hated most men didnt trust them at all after one night of being a careless college student that night let her to 9 months later having a cute baby boy and basically being on her own with the help of her best friend. after a prank gone off on Clayton he went to the laundry mat to wash his sheets were he came face to face with a cute little guy and then he seen Emilie following him, holy crap she has a kid was all he thought. Does the fact that Emilie has a kid scare Clayton away or does she drop her walls that most men have forced her to build over the past two years to keep herself from getting hurt or even having her son get hurt.

I simply love this series with the cheeky, prankster frat boys. What they do to each other has me in stitches and watching them meet the woman who will sort of tame their wild sides and bring them to their knees is gripping to read and watch play out.

I loved Clayton's story, he was seriously top BBF material and completely swoon-worthy with how sweet he was with Emelie and heart stealing Ethan. The chemistry and connection between them was hot and beautiful to watch develop once Em let her walls and sass down and let Clayton in.

CA Harms manages everytime to bring us a funny, intense, romance story that captivates you from beginning to end and even then you are wishing for more.

As ever I am eagerly awaiting the next book in the series and seeing how Clayton's twin Corbin manages to win his girl over. From the look of it he has his work cut out for him

ARC received in exchange for an honest review from the author and HEA PR

Clayton has a reputation for playing pranks in the Frat House but now he ends up on the receiving of a prank from his brother’s girlfriend and the ER is required.

Emilie is a student nurse who doesn’t have the time or energy for frat boys and their pranks, especially when it involves their privates no matter how good they look. Her focus is firmly on finishing school and raising her son and she has left that lifestyle firmly in the past.

Clayton is smitten with Emilie but all his attempts to spend time with her crash and burn until he finds out about her son Ethan. He knows the way to Emilie’s heart is through Ethan and he and Ethan bond instantly. Now he only needs to convince Emilie that he is someone who can be counted on and that he is the opposite of Ethan’s father.

Heat and humor combine with drama and angst to create a wonderful story about new beginnings and healing from the past. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

This is the sweetest book. Emelie and Clayton cross paths a few times, and she has it in her head that he is your typical frat boy, who just parties and causes trouble without any care or consequences. I am so glad Clayton could prove her wrong!!!! Emelie fights him at every turn when he tries so hard to get to know her. She has "complications" in her life that its hard for her to allow people to get too close.

Clayton, goodness this guy. He was so amazing in his story. So thoughtful, caring and loving towards Emelie. He would do anything for her. Reading his thoughts about falling in love, not being able to live without her was so perfect. The friendship and the house he shares with his frat buddies was unique. Hilarious pranks, fun friendships, jokesters was quite entertaining. I loved reading Emelie and Clayton's story and I can't wait for Corbin's story!!!!!
