The first clue this might be exciting was the title! It lived up to it's name.. Sometimes becoming a mail order bride can be dangerous. The potential bride did not really know her groom to be and in Summer's case, as her husband, he set he up. He was definately the wrong man and only made her life harder than where she came from! Being pegged for a crime she did not commit, she finds Emile Poole, a relative of her husband, trying to help her. Of course Emile wants her for his own and is determined to prove her innocence. A story set with adventure and finding out the truth. All of these stories by Leah Laurens tug at your heart and this one does as well.. It was not an easy life during those times but the strength and fortitude of the men and women are amazing! Read to find out if Summer and Emile can find their happy ending!

Leah Laurens develops her charters so they are like a friend or a neighbor. Leah Laurens manages to create stories that show that you had to be strong to survive in the WEST but to be a women meant you had to be very strong and a little determination never hurt. Mail Order Bride: Mail Order Bandit is a wonderful addition to the series plus it gives Bella Meadows' sister, Summer's story.

Another Leah Laurens Hit!
When Meadow Reese came to Elmwood, Missouri to marry Booker Hanson, it was because she had, through no fault of her own, gotten a reputation as an outlaw in her hometown of Little Creek, Kansas. She thought leaving Kansas would make life easier for her two younger sisters, Summer and Belle. But this was not the case. Some people still believed Meadow was an outlaw, and by association, so were her sisters.
Now, with no prospect for a husband in Little Creek, Summer Reese corresponds with a man in Elmwood and agrees to marry him. She finds out too late just what a bad decision this was. Her new husband is bad news and a liar as well. So when he accuses her of being a thief and spreads rumors to that affect, Summer must hide out until she can clear her name.
And with the help of her brother-in-law’s handsome cousin, Emile Poole, she sets out to do just that.
Check out this delightful new book from Leah Laurens for the thrilling details of the “Mail Order Bandit.”

This series just gets better every story.
Summer is trying so hard to make a go of her life's choices but she is very stubborn and head strong. She is very brave when faced with a criminal stealing an elderly lady's purse. She waits for a long time at the train station for her fiance to meet her. Finally she decides he isn't coming and that's when she starts the fiasco that her life will be soon. Emile falls in love with the brave young woman whom tried to stop the thief. Boy does it get complicated. Leah Laurens can certainly keep you reading and feel like you are there. This is a great series and I look forward to the next story. I highly recommend this series if you enjoy Leah Laurens stories.

Belle, another sister is to follow shortly. When Summer arrives in Elmwood, her husband is not at all like he portrayed himself in his letters. He was abusive, a drunk and a thief. Summer is her own woman and spunky which makes the story interesting and unique. She seems to make her decisions at the wrong place and time. She choose to be a mail order bride and running from the law.
Emile loves Summer but can he help clear her name and get an annulment from her marriage?
Loved the characters, they work together to make things happen but will it be enough? The story is wonderful you will love reading it.

Summer and Emile are fantastic!
First, I loved that Meadow’s sisters are now a part of this world. Summer is definitely her own woman and I live how unapologetically spunky she is. I wish we found out who the bandits were but hoping we get more on that in Belle’s book. Highly recommend this one!!

An Interesting Story
I really enjoyed reading this book. The main characters all had burdens to bear, some more than others. Our heroine married a man that was a drunk, a thief and mean. Will she be able to correct this mistake?? Every page is filled with mystery, intrigue and romance.

Mail Order Bandit
This is such an exciting and fun book. Lots of twists and turns and lots of romance too. Oh yes and a great happy ending. The extra novella was a short fun story too. I'm hoping for a story for Bells romance too.

Ends at about 60%
The story was sweet and cute, a fire twists i didn't see coming.
There were several typos in the story unfortunately and it's distracting. I also expected a longer story, but this one ends at around 60% and goes to another, frustrating.

A Leah Lauren hit. Kept my attention through out the book.
Read
September 3, 2018Intriguing plot, but so poorly written I couldn't finish. It badly needed editing, as the names were incorrect so frequently; I was reading a scene between Summer and Emile, and shocked out of the story when her name was replaced by her sister's. Had to stop and think if the scene had ended? This didn't happen only once, and I just didn't care enough to continue.
