I'm not a huge fan of straight contemporaries, but this was an easy, sexy read. I am deducting a bit for missing punctuation throughout the book. Not enough to make me quit reading, but it was distracting. 3.5 stars

I just wasn’t feeling it,,..

You can take my review with a grain of salt, since I confess I didn’t finish but only made it to 15% of the book, but neither of these characters hooked me...
Kelly delivered a funny line or two m like :

“Should I infer from that comment that a personal one would be of more interest?”
“Only if pigs fly and all the other men on the earth have been taken in a zombie apocalypse and batteries suddenly become unavailable.”
He let out a bark of laughter. “At least you left me with a small glimmer of hope.”
Shrugging, she gave him a polite smile. “I’d be considered rude if I didn’t.”

Now I admit I laughed here, but Kelly honestly seems to mean what she’s saying, while we are seeing Cole have some lusty thoughts about her,Kelly seems to mean what she says and only seems to have some half hearted feelings for Gio who’s off limits because he’s tied to the mob...
And while Gio too seems to like her but supposedly refrains because of his mob family status ,we know if they were really attracted to each other they’d make a move...
Cole isn’t sure if he should go after Kelly or not and Kelly honestly seemed barely interested in Cole at the least...
Their chemistry was non existent ,they didn’t seem like they disliked each other but they didn’t act like they liked each other either ...
More like the bestie and the boyfriend who “try” to put up w/each for the sake of the best friend/ girlfriend/wife/ etc. they both love...
I’m assuming it has to get better,I mean it has to , from Cole’s half hearted heavy hand playground approach, to Kelly’s oblivious not truly seeming to be interested attitude ...
But for me a couple HAVE TO start off with some chemistry and interest even if is “I Love To Hate you ! 🤬 there’s gotta be passion and interest...
This was more like ‘Green eggs and Ham” Kelly not only seemed to lack interest she didn’t even seem to know there was an offer, and Sam-I-am (Cole) didn’t seem to know if he wanted to offer up the green eggs and ham or not...
Come on ppl ! You can’t sell me if you can’t sell your selves !
Just glad only time was wasted...

Fun, Witty & Sassy with a HEA

Cade is a true rogue, alpha male who never dates employees. Kelly is a sassy, smart good girl who knows better than to fall for a guy like Cade. Their chemistry is off the charts, but for over a year, while Kelly helps with the three McCallum brothers’ security company’s business books, all Cade and Kelly can do is snip at each other with witty sarcasm. When Kelly’s contractual obligations with the McCallum brothers is over, she’s done with Cade, but he decides to go after her “guns blazing” so to speak.

Rogue is fun, witty, sassy, frustration-turns-to-love military romance book. It is hard to put down as the banter between Cade and Kelly sizzles off the pages. I have become attached to all of the characters and hope to read about them in the other books in this series.

The first book In The new series of McCallan Brothers Rogue is fantastic. We meet the McCallan Brothers Cole, Zach and Seth security specialists who run a company in Vegas. Kelly is a straight laced accountant who bickers all the time with Cole. The chemistry is so undeniable between the two. I love everything Lea Hart has wrote all her alpha men are loving, romantic and loyal but the women are strong, fierce and loving. What more can you ask for. This makes for fantastic reading.

ENTERTAINING ROMANCE

A fast moving entertaining new series about brothers who have developed a Security company. This first story is about the eldest brother who forms a strong attraction to their accountant; and how that relationship grows. Shows great potential for ongoing series.

Straight laced accountant meets security specialist. An unlikely match that works.

Amazing read with a H/h that clash and work at the same time and secondary characters that are delightful and deserve their own story.

Very excited about this new series and can’t wait for the next one.

ARC COPY FOR HONEST REVIEW

I loved watching the growth between Cole and Kelly. Between their pasts they were both afraid to work on their futures. But when they notice the spark why not try

Fun

This was a fun book to read. The characters have depth and flaws and are very enjoyable. The story was great. The romance was on a rocky road but it has a happy ending.
