Sunshine Bonnard is a failure when it comes to demon hunting and she’s given one last chance to redeem herself—and saver her own life. A succubus queen is unleashing hell on Seattle and Sunny’s been paired with Gideon Lafayette, half-demon and half-something, to take down Hell’s sorority before they kill half the city’s population to feed their cravings.
With Michael and the archangels on their backs and lust-filled demons attacking from every angle, Sunny and Gideon have their work cut out for them and falling for each other will only make it more difficult. But can it be helped? The attraction is intense, but the consequences could be deadly.
I really really enjoyed this book! McKane created a world where the whole "good vs. evil" is not so black and white, which I really appreciate. Angels aren't always the good guys and Demons have feelings too! Sunny is sweet and means well though she is completely out of her depth, through no fault of her own. She was totally relatable. I loved Gideon though he was an ass at times. Michael was a pain all the time and Liam kept me guessing through the whole thing. I had a hard time putting this down to actually go to sleep and a few tears might have been shed! Really a good read for Urban Fiction lovers.
I enjoyed the story and the concept. The characters are intriguing and I very much like that good and bad are not black and white but complicated. I can recommend it as a read. The reason that it is not 5 stars is that it needs a good edit. Whilst there are very few spelling issues, there are one or two continuity issues and a few actions where it's not clear how these are resolved/relate to the plot. Despite these I'm about to binge read the rest of the series, so they aren't off putting.

Sunny…what can I say? She’s a clutz, albeit a cute clutz. Just happens to be a descendant of King Solomon. Destined to do the bidding of the Archangel Michael. Her life is a mess. And then she meets Gideon, half angel half demon and her life gets very, very interesting. I must get the next book in the series to see what Gabriel has in store for her.
Sandra cornelison the story line demons and Angel s depending on a human to help fix their problem s always fascinates me. It was not actually real but I enjoyed it. If I found it in as a regular book I would buy it if I could afford it.
It was a bit slow at first, and I almost stopped reading the book. Now I'm happy I kept reading. I really liked the characters, and the ending left me really excited for book 2.
