Jill Hicks' Sundial is a mystical and magical manner to handle a very sensitive topic. A young woman makes a decision (or is coaxed to make one) that changes her life. But a harmless gift of a sundial shell provides her, years later, to witness what if that decision was made to go in another direction. Hicks handles the other direction as though it was another world, that time had split and she could jump into that other timeline to live it for a while.

The story is well written and the character building is strong. Recommend you spend some time in the world of the Sundial.
