When Rochelle Dubois and her associate request Hunter Caine’s assistance in relocating a package, it’s just the beginning of another day that quickly goes from bad to worse.
You get an idea of what’s in store from Hunter’s opening statement:
“Given all that had occurred, I should have expected to be lying there, cowering behind a watering trough, shooting it out with assassins over a pretty redhead.”
And it only gets better . . . or worse, depending on your viewpoint. Kidnappers; human traffickers; smugglers; thieves; murderers. And did I mention Triad gangs? You’ll find all these and more in an adrenaline-charged adventure set in one of the sleaziest nosedives in existence: Perdition.
Exceptional fun. Gritty frontier humor. Action galore. What more do you need in a king (or should that be queen-sized) short story?
