Hilary writes romantic suspense novels for a living, but she never expected to end up living one. Through research and interviews, she’s compiled enough information to topple a dangerous and powerful group of men. An attempt on her life compels her to turn to the Lords of Mayhem for protective custody under the wing of the club’s Vice President Hawk Bearpaw. Against her better judgment, she finds herself falling for the club’s culture and the man tasked with her protection. Hawk curses his luck when he’s saddled with the sassy, outspoken bombshell. But his mind quickly changes when he kisses her into silence. The sex is insanely good, but he can’t forget she’s from a different world. He knows she’ll return to her world once the danger has passed. He just needs to make sure she doesn’t take his heart with her.

It was ok

I think compared to the other previous 3 is why i rated this so hard. My attention couldn’t be grasped with this one. The beginning felt like a repeat of Evonne and Rocky’s story. I definitely did not like the public sex with him and the other girl. That was more so sweetbutt territory and not someone who just got introduced as an old lady. Also I’m used to the characters referring to the women as “b****” but totally hated the crassness of the hero. In the HEA he told her straight up if this does not work for me or I’m not feeling it anymore I’ll just walk away. Doesn’t sound like a man who just declared his love. Also descriptions of characters need to be better. Was Hilary black? White? Or just fair skinned? And us readers didn’t really find out until towards the end that he was in his 40’s.

Fantastic

OH WOW I don't even know where to begin to tell you how much I enjoyed this awesome story! Okay the first thing is that I definitely enjoyed Hawk and Hillary as a couple. There is so much excitement and action with sizzling hot passion with these two. Plus I get to revisit some awesome characters that I really enjoyed and wanted to read more about them. The time spent with the girls is delightful. Another thing I enjoyed besides the couple's hot chemistry is their life is full of action with lots of drama which will have you on the edge of your seat, The suspense will fuel your curiosity. Then there's all of the characters which are so captivating and the MC men are so amazing and their relationships is also magnificent. The storyline is great with it's MC vibe and when you add in their emotions along with their love of family plus the intriguing twists they go through with the rival MC and other enemies then you have a tale that's awesome and such a pleasurable experience." There is some violence that just makes you keep turning pages. I couldn't help but to have a sleepless night because there was no way I putting down my reader until it was over. I could tell you about all the things I really enjoyed but then it's best you read it for yourself. But WOW even with the ending it's still a awesome romance which l greatly enjoyed and I found this to be a exciting continuous of this series.

We started with four best friends: Juliette, Joey, Evonne, and Hilary. The first three girls are now paired with Lords of Mayhem brothers and the only one left is Hilary. She's been the most vocal about being cautious around this group of bikers. She's also the nosiest of the group! Well, she now finds herself a target and Hawk, VP of Lords of Mayhem, is now in charge of keeping her safe. The sparks and chemistry just burn off the pages from these two. Both of the characters are strong, stubborn, and used to getting their way. Can they make this work for the sake of the club and the mission at hand? Or will it fall apart because they can't see eye to eye? This book is fast paced and weaves into the story line the previous books and characters. What a terrific read! I wish there were more in this series!! I highly recommend this book!

Worth The Trip

The was such a good solid ending to what was a really good series. The writer gives us four different women and four different relationships. This last story was a little different because we get dig a little deeper in the relationship and the feelings that occur when getting involved. There was just enough mystery and mayhem to make this a good read. I loved the fact we got two strong willed individuals, that wanted the same thing but fought it till the end. Now my one really big ding,is that we don't get enough character development. The writer gives us a hint and pulls back. I think a little more of what everyone not only looks like, but a little bit more of their personality.

Harpy\Ariel

Hillary became Ariel because she got to close to the bad guys. They shot up her car with her in it. So, Hawk became her protector and she his house 🐁. They danced around each other and finally came together. The last of the trinity has fallen. This is a complex series and worth reading. Each one is beautiful in its self, but extraordinary together. Shyla Colt wrote an excellent tale of the world at its worst and at its best. But most of all, love will find a way. This is a book for adults only and glory be!

A Grandslam!

Ariel/Hilary was such a hard nut to crack but a good. We could see from book 1 that this was going to a fantastic ride through craziness and falling in love. The connections of friends and family are linked in their truest sense.
Hawke and Ariel fit so well together just like the other 3 women. I hope we get more of these stories.

Great story!!

Hawk and Hilary couldn't stand the sight of each other. However, now they're stuck together due to dangerous forces. Hilary and Hawk learn that all that aggravating each other hid their passionate feelings for each other.

Sad to see the series end

While I may be sad because this series has come to an end; I am excited to say that this was a good book. It was a great read and it flowed. You can read it as a standalone but if you have the previous three this is just like the next chapter. Loved it Ms. Shyla.

Hawk was a very sexy man, “no, you didn’t. I asked that.” He stepped forward, placed a hand on her hip and pulled her flush to him. “Do you want the full Mayhem experience? Because I’m inclined to give it to you.” Hawk always has his girl's best interests at heart, “right now you have too much tension. It’s my duty as your Old Man to help you relax,” he drawled." I loved this book, loved seeing these characters again.

Great story

The Final Ride was another good story. Hawk & Hilary/Ariel are an explosive couple that balance each other. The rewrite is a good one cannot wait to see who's next. If you haven't read the first three then I suggest you do.

Nice

Liked Hilary before Hawk, but I can see that she came out of her shell with him. Appreciated that she was her own outspoken person and not afraid to speak her mind. Not a fan of sex in a roomful of people, no matter what. Lost some respect for her.

If you've been following along with the Lords of Mayhem series then you won't to miss Final Ride. This installment in the series is Hillary and Hawks story. Being total opposites, the hard edged V.P. Of the MC and the inquisitive book worm immediately rub each other the wrong way when they are thrown together. But change is good right, and these two are loving the changes they bring about in each other's lives. Hawk and Hillary ( Ariel) story is great addition to the Lord of Mayhem series. Not as drama filled as the other books but definitely has its share of sparks and passionate encounters between the hero and heroine with just a bit of family drama to make this a great read. It also leaves some unanswered questions about the old and new characters that leads me to believe, very happily I may add, that this may not be the Final Ride for the Lords of Mayhem series after all. I give 3.5 stars.

2 1/2 Stars - It really needed editing, I mean really need it, there were inconsistencies in the timeline, misused words, questionable phrasing and grammar, etc., etc., etc. The romance itself is mostly fine but the story is problematic there's a lot going on and most of it is only treated superficially. At one point something happens to our Hero and his family never shows up. We are told at the beginning that things will move quickly but then its been months by the end of the book.

Not this authors best but I like Ms. Colt so I'll continue to read stories.

Same review as the first book because it I felt the same way. "I liked this book, I just didn't love it. There was something missing for me. I wanted to like the characters a lot more, but I just couldn't connect with them fully. The plot was good, but it needed more. I found my self skimming parts of the text, but at the same time I couldn't stop reading."
