Absolutely nothing to complain about here except the length. The writing, the characters and the story were all good . . . if the author had developed it into a full-length novel, I'd have given it 5 stars.

This book got steamy in a hurry which is much appreciated because I hate waiting around for the good parts. Let me tell you, there were a lot of good parts!
Kymber is a confident 21-year-old woman who wants to lose her virginity in a quick, no strings attached way. I love how the author didn't make a big deal about the first time needing to be special or mean something - good was the priority here.
The purpose of this book is to steam up your Kindle, and it accomplished that goal well. Impressively though, the author drew me into the story and allowed me to fall in love with the characters and become invested in their lives and happiness. That's difficult to do in a short, hot read such a this.
Overall, Stiff Discipline is a wonderfully engaging, quick read. It was perfect for a summer evening on the deck.

This book is a fun romp. Daniel is a 40 yo retired Colonel who is a perfect male human specimen. Kymber is 21 and wants to lose her v-card. She sets her sights on Daniel’s son, Adam, but ends up running into Daniel instead. The chemistry is OTC and there are many hot scenes.
Kymber is, thankfully, mature for her age. I understand Daniel’s mental dilemma. The romance is fast and it is pretty much instalove. I have a hard time buying instalove. I didn’t see that they had much in common other than the sex and submission, but Kymber makes him laugh so they end up together. I’ll look for Adam and Bekka’s story.

3 Smutty Stars
This is pretty much smut, but it’s sort of slower flow smut as it takes 25% to get to any action, and then halfway to seal the deal. There isn’t much of a plot other than Kymber wanting to lose her virginity, and Daniel being hung up on their age difference. (her 21 to his 40) There’s a smidge of push/pull, but it doesn’t really generate any angst or drama, because K isn’t deterred/hurt/resentful from being rejected.

Bottom Line- You really have to be in the right mood (craving fluffy smut) to enjoy it. The sexytime is of the dom/sub variety. I really wasn’t in the mood, so I’m tempted to not rate, but will just make it a *** and call it a day.
This is pretty much smut, but it’s sort of slower flow smut as it takes 25% to get to any action, and then halfway to seal the deal. There isn’t much of a plot other than Kymber wanting to lose her virginity, and Daniel being hung up on their age difference. (her 21 to his 40) There’s a smidge of push/pull, but it doesn’t really generate any angst or drama, because K isn’t deterred/hurt/resentful from being rejected.

Stiff Discipline was a quick and hot story. It was taboo, sexy and was such a fun palette cleanser. Kymber and Daniel had combustible chemistry. This story was pure insta-love but it was what it was as you went in figuring that. Despite this, I loved their banter and chemistry and was hooked! I can't wait to read Adam and Bekka's story!

Stiff Discipline by Ember Cole was a quick, fun read that turned dirty and hot in mere seconds. Ember knows how to turn up the volume and she excelled well. I didn’t realize I was about to venture into a taboo theme romance with a older man/younger female, but this was a very well written novel that I wish was a little bit longer. I wanted more epilogues!
Col. Daniel Black only knows how to take charge. He gives the orders and that’s that, but when twenty-one year old Kymber knocks on his door his restraint goes out the window. Daniel knows it’s oh, so wrong… Kymber doesn’t care about his age, she knows he needs to be cared for. What will come of their predicament?
Pick up this 4 Star read for a dirty talking, Dominant Colonel who needs a little bit of love in his life.

This was a short read but a good one! Absolutely loved the main characters! Hot and steamy read, very fast paced and easy to read!
Kymber comes back after three years overseas from an assignment to do with teaching other children from other countries. It’s her 21st birthday and she finds herself still a virgin and she wants to fix the “situation”. So her and her best friend go in search for someone for a one night stand and they come across Adam.
Adam’s 20 years older than her and a rough, hard and no-bullsh*t military man. Adam can tell there is something between the two of them but he tries to fight his attraction for young Kymber and she to can feel it. Adam isn’t the guy for her, he’s rough, hard and the total opposite to the innocent young girl. But he can’t seem to stay away, can’t seem to ignore the desire he has to claim her.

Which leads them to the son of the owner of their building. When Kymber goes to do the seduction in office she finds Adam. Their is a quick attraction that Adam tries to fight. Adam is 20 years older than her and harden military man..not someone a young innocent lady should be messing with but he can't seem to walk away.
I was totally in love with their story and could not put the book down until the end! I hope to read more by this author soon!!

So the book started off with a bang. I was thinking. Yes! This is what I'm looking for. I want something gritty with a gruff intense hero and a naive girl. I was really getting into it and then looked down to see I was at 25% in the book. Wait what. It just started.
Then I realized this was an off-shoot of Entangled publishing. Sigh. I didn't realize they had this line. Called...wait for it..."One Handed Reads". I pretty much just threw up in my moth just typing that. Ew. I guess it is supposed to compete with things like Carina's "Dirty Bits" line (Much more palpable title by the way).
Anyway, I do occasionally look for something quick and steamy when I'm short on time and want to get a quick book in. I was just disappointed because it started out SO GOOD! Then...bam. It was over. I would have loved to see this one in a full length novel.
So I'm rating it based on what it was and what you should be expecting from a line called..nope can't write it again. See above. A very short, very dirty read. Think 99% sex, 1% plot. So...porn. But, the sex was really super hot, and I enjoyed the characters. For the length the author did a good job of packing a lot in and somehow managing to get a bit of information about the characters out there. I enjoyed it, I just really wish it had been a novel. I haven't read anything by this author before but would pick something up if it were a longer length.

Daniel thought his life couldn't get any better when a long legged beauty walked into his office and offers him sex. A retired Colonel, his attraction to Kymber is instant.
This book offers light bdsm, and sadly no spanking scenes. Even though spanking is mentioned. The chemistry is combustible between the two and the only trouble seems to be the age gap. Kymber and Daniel's story is hot hot hot!! Kymber is turning 21 and she's still a virgin. Her goal for the night: to lose her virginity. Bekka, her best friend, suggests their landlord's son, Adam. Her plan goes sideways when instead of Adam, she meets Daniel, their landlord. Daniel is almost twice her years, an ex-military man with a commanding presence. The attraction between them is instant but Daniel tries hard to stop Kymber's advances. Who doesn't like a dirty talking alpha male, right?? Daniel is exactly that!!
I laughed so much with Bekka's antics. She's seriously the best and craziest best friend a girl can ask for! Daniel confused me. He gave so many mixed signals. He tries so hard to not let his demons get the better of him. However, does he have the strength to succeed?

Eh... it was okay. Nothing great, but at the same time nothing horrible.
This book was definitely focused more on the intimacy scenes than on the background of the characters. While this usually isn't something I would complain about, I think it took away from the relationship of the couple. I didn't find that they knew much about each other outside of the bedroom. I found them falling in love to be difficult to believe given how their relationship seemed focus only on the bedroom.
This book could have been so much more if the author had been willing to expand the book.

This is my first read by Ember Cole and I was pleasantly surprised! I really adored this quick-paced romance and am looking forward to more. It was the perfect amount of plot and sex. I enjoyed reading about a nontraditional relationship and thought it was meticulously detailed.

I went into this book thinking that it wouldn't live up to my expectations but I was proven to be very wrong. This story was surprisingly very interesting and well developed. The characters had depth to them and they seemed very realistic. The story seemed to develop a little quickly but it wasn't so quick that it made me doubt the relationship between the two characters. It was nice to have perspective from both characters instead of just one in the relationship. Getting to learn Daniel's backstory made him seem more human and allowed the reader to connect with him a lot more. As soon as I finished it, I wanted to immediately start the next book in this series. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is into erotica/romance or is a fan of the "Fifty Shades" series!

This was a quick, fast paced insta love story featuring a sexy, broody 40ish dom and a 21 year old virgin. That got down and dirty real quick and kept me engaged throughout. Thanks to very likable characters, humour and plenty of heat. And I'd happily recommend it to others.

This was a good read!! Kymber has been wanting to lose her v card for a while and she wants to do this right! It's her way and her boldness that gets her back to the apartment building and in the supers office and she lets Daniel have it. She comes at him like a force to be reckoned with. Daniel being ex military no one barges in on him and tells him anything! Hot book!! Hot🔥read!! Yes please!!

A story of redemption with a sexy twist. Sometimes you meet that one person in life who can pull you out of the dark place you have buried yourself. For Daniel that person was Kymber. For some there relationship may not have seemed traditional, but for them it was perfect. An endearing love story with lots of hot sex.
