“…consciousness must be part of… of reality, which means that quite apart from the laws of physics and chemistry … we must also consider laws of quite a different nature.” – Neils Bohr

The idea of consciousness and its origin is a subject that I have been exploring for some time now and the books by the Bhaktivedanta Institute have proved to be of great assistance to me in this regard time and again. “Quantum Physics and Consciousness” puts forward the thoughts and arguments of eminent scholars in the field of Quantum Physics and of renowned scholars on the subject of the science of life, mind, consciousness, and quantum physics.

Out of all the books I have read in the past, this one was one of the most challenging books for me to comprehend because of the diverseness of thoughts and interpretations compiled into this book. There was so much information to take in and understand that I am sure I would be re-reading this book multiple times. Now what I really liked about this book is how sequentially the thoughts and arguments are compiled in the book – beginning from the very basics and slowly building up the level – which helped me a lot in grasping the concepts.

Another thing that I appreciated a lot is that even though there were differences in opinion, every idea is acknowledged and put into the book which makes it comprehensive and holistic in its approach. This book holds so much knowledge and information for the inquisitive minds that it is a must-read book for them.

I won’t really suggest it to amateur readers as well as to those who are not very familiar with the concepts of Quantum Mechanics as they would find this book difficult to understand.
