Cash Stetson is a loser. A crapped out, busted loser. He gambled and lost the girl. He gambled with his career and lost his medical license. He’s lost direction and whatever faith he might have had. Faith in himself. Faith in the charm that’s worn too thin. But the powers that be haven’t lost faith in him. Undeserved faith, but still. A stint in rehab kept him out of jail. Can a turn in an impoverished clinic in Mexico convert a loser into a winner?
Doctor Maggie Craig knows a loser when she sees one. Cash might as well be sporting a neon tattoo on his forehead. A debutante turned dermatologist turned medical missions director, Maggie knows time heals most wounds, although it hasn’t done much to heal her own. Her secrets don’t sleep, and her repentance has all but turned into penance. Is she truly helping those in the clinic in Mexico, or using them to hide from her truth?

A book that will strengthen your faith, thought provokingly binding you till the very end. Lloyd's Loser's Road is a book that accomplishes and delivers what many Christian Contemporaries fail to do. The author knits the plot out of the very life, this fact makes the story relatable for every reader at some point. The bond with characters develops automatically and makes you feel what they are going through. The writing style is exceptionally heart touching and it the book doesn't remains a story anymore, it becomes alive with the authors descriptions and the ability to grab the readers feelings. Weaving life, faith, love, and other elements the author makes her work mesmerising and unforgettable. It will stay with you forever. This book is beyond rating but I would undoubtedly give it 5 stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 and recommend it to every reader out there looking for a book that will touch their soul. God forgives us even when we can’t forgive ourselves
A love story of the love of family, the love of townsfolk, the love of people who believe in us when we no longer believe in ourselves, and finally the true love that exists between two broken people who shared the pain, and rose above it to become better for themselves first and others last. A personal journey of redemption. I loved the characters of Jase, Maggie and especially Pepper. A bear for everyone’s corner.
This is a very interesting story. Cash Stetson has totally screwed up his life, losing his license to practice medicine. He has a chance to get his license back but he must find his heart first. The medical board send him to Mexico to work in a clinic for six weeks. He finds much more than his heart there. A beautiful story that will warm your heart. A clean romance. Loved it.
I am conflicted by this book. I liked it and was completely annoyed with it at the same time. The book waxes poetic and tries hard to be contemplative; however at times Cash just comes of whiny. The writing pulls you in and makes you care about the characters and their lives. The problem is it just tries to hard to be edgy and relevant. I wanted to care more than I do. I couldn't finish. I tried more than once and even though the author is an excellent writer, I found myself annoyed by the whole scenario.
I do believe many will enjoy this book, I am not one of them. I received a complimentary copy of this book from NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for a honest review.
