4 Dangerous Stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟
This is the second book in this thriller with a mobster twist... I picked up the first book not knowing it was all about the gritty underbelly of London but... WOW what a surprise, I absolutely loved it! And this book was even better! It was these fabulous characters that drew me in and the action packed plot that kept me entertained...
Freddy who so reminds me of Sonny Corinthos of General Hospital... he is that strong, hot, lovable, bad guy... The perfect guy if it weren’t for things such as murder and smuggling, LOL in this book Freddie and Anna have been together for three years and are still going strong! The club that Anna owns with her BFF Tonya is flourishing... but someone is missing and it is Freddys duty to find them, otherwise the unthinkable will happen... Mobster law is all about blackmail, threats, honor, and loyalty after all!
This thriller has plenty of twists and turns... it will lead you in one direction and then zig in an entirely different direction.... but the truth star of this book are the fabulous characters and wonderful relationships.... Freddie is fiercely loyal especially when it comes to his family and Anna... he will stop at nothing to protect them! Another fabulous relationship in this book is Anna and Tonya I love this strong female friendship....
Another wonderful installment in this series that is a little different from my normal read... excited to see what is next for Freddie, Anna, and Tonya....
Absolutely recommend when you are in the mood for a gritty story with some pretty darn amazing characters!

I must admit, I did enjoy this book better than her first book, Runaway Girl. I was drawn in quickly to the storyline. A girl goes missing, who does not want a missing person to be found safe and well, even if it is a bad guy that's looking for her. There is a lot going on in this book but not too much that you forget what happening. This is a roller coaster read with many twists, great characters and a twist at the end that I never saw coming.

So I make a resolution to never start a series without reading the first books first, and what do I grab as my next book? The second in a series!! GAH I can’t win! However in my defence it doesn’t say anywhere in the description that this is a sequel! And thankfully, I got by just fine not having read the first one. I didn’t even realise it was a sequel until I started looking into it after I had finished it!
So this story centres around Anna and Freddie, a happy couple in London. Anna runs a club and Freddie, well he is the head of a crime family. Anna doesn’t seem to care about the fact that her boyfriend is a criminal and occasionally murders people as he helped her out of a tricky situation with an ex boyfriend a few years prior. So when a girl goes missing outside one of Freddie’s clubs, he and Anna are dragged into a complete mess.
I really enjoyed this story. However I had a few problems with the characters. I find it hard to warm to characters that actively go about murdering people. Even if they only get the “bad guys”. So I found it hard to like the family. It was all fun and banter and brotherly love and then oh a bad guy, anger, shoot him in the head and only feel slightly bad about it, and then put the blame on everyone else...
However, it was fun. A fun escape. The twists were all predictable, but it was still fun to experience them.
The writing was great, the atmosphere changed from light to heavy well. It was entertaining.
Would I recommend Dangerous Girl?
Yes it was a good thriller. It had a solid storyline, and was an entertaining and quick read!

Well Emma Tallon has just become a name to watch in this genre. Whilst I enjoyed her first novel, Runaway Girl, I felt that it lacked a bit of impact and overall wasn’t as good as the likes of Jessie Keane. I have just finished Dangerous Girl and could not have loved it more. It had everything that I want from a gangland thriller and more and has left me absolutely desperate to continue the Tyler family saga.
This time around I felt I knew the characters better and felt that there was more depth to the writing which allowed each individual character to shine through. Freddie was by far and away my favourite character and if you like a loveable villain then this is the character for you. His family values and morals are not something new in this genre but he is a character I found easy to like, when you look past things like criminality and murder that is. Anna this time around was a character I enjoyed reading about, more so when compared to Runaway Girl. Characterisation is strong throughout with some detestable characters who really got by blood boiling.
I love Emma Tallon’s writing and how it really drew me in and immersed me right into the story. I was reading this book at every available opportunity and couldn’t get enough of it. It has a storyline that is packed full of emotion, and by the end of the story I felt like I had been on a real journey with these characters. It’s shocking, impactful and will certainly be one of my most memorable reads of the year. I loved the ending and felt that it was very reminiscent of Of Mice and Men in places. Overall this was a fantastic gangland thriller and Emma Tallon is without doubt going to be one to watch in this genre. I cannot wait for her next book.

'Dangerous Girl' is the second book in the fantastic gangland crime thriller series, of which 'Runaway Girl' was the first. Although this is a perfectly acceptable standalone novel, we are reintroduced to the same characters that we know and love from the series opener, so it is definitely more beneficial in terms of learning about each characters development if you read them in chronological order.
This is a gritty, dark and exciting read, just like the first. In fact, I enjoyed it even more than the first installment, and that is saying something! All of the characters are realistic and believable. I especially enjoy Freddie for his hard-man persona when dealing with business, which quickly disappears when he is around his family, and he becomes a loveable, admirable character. Here, Freddie has to find a girl who has gone missing after attending a party at his nightclub, else his girlfriend Anna will be killed. Freddie, Anna and Tanya are all well developed and intriguing people - the scene appears to have been set for at least one more book, so I look forward with keen anticipation to the next one that is published.
Perfectly paced with a flowing narrative, this is a compelling thriller. I hope I don't have long to wait to join Freddie, Anna and Tanya in their next outrageous antics and enthralling adventures!

This is the second book in the Tyler family gangland crime series. I really enjoyed book 1 in the series but thought this one was even better. I found the characters who we met in the first book were even better and came into their own in this book. A brilliant storyline with an outcome I didn’t expect. I loved it. This book can be read as a stand-alone but personally I prefer to read a series in order to get a real feel and understanding for what’s happening

Having read and loved Boss Girl, which is the third book to feature the same characters, when I saw the second book, Dangerous Girl, was on offer, well I couldn’t resist buying it and reading it. Of course that leaves me now to just read the first book, of which I definitely will. I do usually try and read books in order but it hasn’t spoiled my enjoyment one iota, reading the books in the series, backwards.
I love Tanya and Anna. They are strong, beautiful, intelligent and independent women. Everything a lot of us aspire to be I’m sure. Freddie is a bad boy, who, like Anna, you can’t help but love. You know what he does is wrong but yet he does have a sense of what’s right and wrong also and there are even some things he won’t steep as low as to do.
This story literally grabbed me by the collar and sent me hurtling through it. There are a couple of threads going on through out of which both had my attention. I had no clue who was behind what was going on with Tanya or the disappearance of the girl from out side Freddie’s club. Which for poor Freddie could be the end of everything he has and loves if he doesn’t solve it and quickly. It really is a race against time and the mounting tension was literally unbearable.
Dangerous Girl is a fabulous read that had me hooked from beginning to end. I loved the little twists and turns the story took which made for some surprising as well as shocking reading. This authors books really do make for some dark and compelling reading. Can’t wait to read the first one to see how it all started.

This is a great read. I recommend you read Runaway Girl first though I have been told it can be read as a standalone.
I enjoyed this more than Runaway Girl if that’s possible. The characters are more solid.
Great storyline and I ended up reading this in one sitting. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Cannot wait to read more of this series. After that ending I’ll be waiting with baited breath lol

This is a great book and one that will have you gripped from the word go.

All this could come crashing down on them though as a threat is hanging over their heads.
Freddie is ‘told’ to do something and if he doesn’t then the consequences don’t best thinking about.
The Tylers have a real race against time on their hands and Anna is really worried about them all.
Tanya also has problems and is nearly killed when things go too far.
This is a fantastic story and I look forward to the next one. With the cliffhanger in this one - I can’t wait!

I LOVED this book!! It is brilliant and had me completely gripped from the first few chapters and I was hooked to the fabulous ending!! I cannot wait for her next book!!
The characters are brilliant, it is very well planned out and the storyline develops really well. This is the second book I have read by this author and whilst I have really enjoyed them both this one was hands down my favourite out of the two.
I read the book in an afternoon when I was on annual leave from work and didn’t want to put it down, I’m so glad I chose to read it on a day where I could just carry on – be warned this is one that will keep you up until you finish it!!
Five stars from me – absolutely superb writing and a cracking story!! Very highly recommended – grab your copy now!!

runaway girl was a brilliant book but second book even better anna and Freddie so happy and in love he do anything for her and his family he always protects but going to be tested Tanya you cant help but love her she such a feisty character Freddie men very loyal the story will keep you wanting to read from page one very addictive book loads of twists saying no more I highly recommend both books in series cant wait for book 3

Wow, wow, wow. This is such a brilliant book! I have not read the first one but I had no problem at all to pick the story up.
It's gripping, fluently written, fast paced, emotional and a certain chapter put a smile on my face. (Those who already read the book will know which one I mean LOL). It certainly kept me chained to my sofa.
I loved the way Freddie was hard as nails to everybody who dares to threaten his 'family', but he was not afraid to show his softer side to his loved ones. I know he was a criminal but he stole a little piece of my heart as well.
I can't wait to read the next part.

After reading Runaway Girl I was so excited to hear that there was a new release coming out called Dangerous Girl, and what an amazing, totally addictive read it was, I was left speechless, if you enjoy reading books by Martina Cole, Mandasue Heller, Casey Kelleher, then you will just love this one, Emma Tallon is one to watch out for, I highly recommend this book,

By the end of Runaway Girl by Emma Tallon, Anna Davis is finally happy. She is no longer in fear of her ex and is in a happy relationship with Freddie Tyler. Moreover, she is co-owner of a very successful London club with her best friend Tanya. But, she is suddenly worried about Freddie. She is under no illusions about his criminal lifestyle, but he is now keeping things from her and has even recently begun disappearing in the middle of the night.
Meanwhile, Freddie is more than angry. A girl has gone missing from one of his clubs and the police are certain that he has had something to do with it. Then, someone that he absolutely does not trust shows up and says that he'd better find the girl or else Anna will be killed. No matter the cost, Freddie does not want Anna to know of this ultimatum, but what's he to do when finding the missing girl goes without success and Anna's life really goes on the line.? As a man who loves his own deeply and unreservedly he is not going to let any of this go without a fight.
I am really glad that I read book one in this thrilling series before reading this. It gave me a solid background as to who the characters were, and how they were all connected. As much as I loved the first book, Runaway Girl, this one completely blew me away. Although it didn't generate the same about of fear and anxiety, Dangerous Girl had a different vibe. This story has a high element of danger when it comes to what could happen to the missing girl and to Anna, but it also delves a bit more into a couple of other characters, Freddie's brother Michael, as well as Tanya.
Since this book is about the world of gangsters there is a fair level of violence, but it is also peppered with sensitivity, especially when it comes to Freddie's character. He displays a real dichotomy of emotions in how he handles his gangster activities and how he deals with his loved ones. This is a fast-paced book, one that begins feverishly from the very start and ends with the most intense conclusion. Those last chapters are truly riveting. Dangerous Girl is indeed a captivating read.
As mentioned, this is the second book in the series and there are enough explanations to allow this to do well as a standalone, but I am one who enjoys connectivity with both the characters and the storyline, thus I purchased the previous title and read it immediately before this one. Now I have to wait for Book 3 and I really don't know how I am supposed to do that!

Dangerous girl by Emma Tallon takes us on a nail-biting ride into the darker layers of the London docklands. Katherine Hargreaves is missing - having disappeared, unfortunately outside Freddie Tyler’s club. Freddie, an East End baron has a lot to hide and with the police breathing down his neck he’s a sitting duck. Or is he? Shipments have been rerouted, meetings rearranged and Freddie’s working on a new plan. But when DCI Sarah Riley (Wily-Riley) shows up to investigate, he realizes he’s going to have to up his game.
The book is formatted in several chapter points of view with touches of omniscience. My favorite characters were Freddie Tyler for his excellent dialogue and where the word ‘wily’ may have been better suited and DCI Riley, someone who has the foresight to work around the problem rather than be cornered by ethics. ‘Tall, built like a bloke and a personality that would turn milk sour’ - is definitely someone to root for. However, the ending had a slight twist I wasn’t expecting.
Emma Tallon’s writing has a fast narrative pace that hits the ground running and her well researched characters are ones to enjoy. Definitely an author to watch.

I read Dangerous Girl as a standalone as I have not read Runaway Girl, the first in the series by Emma Tallon.
I entered into a world that I knew little about. Dangerous Girl was well written with believable characters. The plot was intense.

WOW WOW WOW I loved Runaway Girl and Dangerous Girl was no different, I devoured it in the day, I love Anna & Freddie’s relationship and how happy they are especially after everything Anna had been through in her previous relationship. I love that family always come first for Freddie above his empire but the twist at the end had me shocked to the core, really did not expect that and cannot wait for the “revenge” book…. Can’t wait for #3 Emma Tallon, can’t praise you highly enough 5+ stars

Emma Tallon does it again
I started reading this series of books a short time ago and so far I'm not disappointed.
Anna and Tanya's club "Anya" is going strong. A young woman is kidnapped from outside one of the clubs owned by Anna's boyfriend, East End crime boss Freddie. The victim is the daughter of a senior politician, who approaches Freddie with an ultimatum, "Save my daughter or you and Anna die."
Can Freddie find her in time to save his family or is it the end of the line, and can he keep all this secret from Anna?
I enjoyed this continuation of Anna and Freddie's story. There were several surprising twists along the way and I could feel the tension building throughout. I like the characters and it's satisfying to see them developing along the way. I look forward to reading their continuing stories.

saw this on netgalley and requested, realised then it is Emma's 2nd book and I had the first on my kindle unread, I read them both in a week and loved them. I'm a massive martina cole , Kimberley chambers fan and so this was right up my street. look forward to the next one.

I read and reviewed Emma’s previous book called ‘Runaway Girl’ earlier this year. I absolutely blinking well loved it even if it did scare me slightly. As soon as I finished reading it, I immediately looked forward to reading Emma’s next book. Fortunately I didn’t have too long to wait as ‘Dangerous Girl’ was released on 22nd August. ‘Dangerous Girl’ is the second book in the series. As soon as I could get my hands on a copy, I eagerly began to read. Bloody hell what an amazing read it is. I absolutely loved it but more about that in a bit.
This book picks up the story a short while after the previous book finishes. Anna and Freddie have been together for three years. They are certainly opposites to each other but as the saying goes ‘opposites attract’ and they are certainly attracted to each other. Anna is in charge of the club but she does things by the book. Freddie is at the total opposite end of the scale. He is head of the clan and a much feared figure in the criminal world and beyond. Well he scared the doo doo out of me but then I am a bit of a (ok a big) wimp and it doesn’t take a lot to scare me. Freddie is what I would call a true ‘hard nut’. When he is doing business or dealing with anything to do with the business he keeps his emotions mostly in check but he shows his sensitive side when he is with his family.
Bloody, bloody hell this was one stonkingly brilliant book. I thought that ‘Runaway Girl’ was brilliant but ‘Dangerous Girl’ is even better. From the moment I picked this book up I was addicted to the author’s writing style, the storylines and the characters. I binge read this book in under 24 hours which is very good going for me. The more I got into the story, the more I read and the quicker the pages were turning. For me ‘Dangerous Girl’ is simply unputdownable. My Kindle wasn’t exactly glued to my hand but it might as well have been because I took it everywhere with me and I begrudged having to put the book down, which didn’t go down well with my two Labradors. Oops. At one point the pages of the book were turning that quickly that it was almost as if the pages were turning themselves and before I knew what was happening I finished the book, which I was gutted about. I was enjoying everything about the book that I just wanted it to continue. My intention was to ration how much I read in one go but that intention soon flew out of the window because I was enjoying the book so much that I had to read on and on. I was desperate to know what fate had in store for the different characters and to see how this episode of the series finished.

The score on the Ginger Book Geek board is a very well deserved 5* out of 5*.

#beenalongwait Well technically its not but when having to hang around waiting to hear more about Anna and Freddie, then its soooo long. I revelled in the first in the series and to be honest never thought that Emma could pull another whopper out of the bag but god damn it she has.
Dangerous Girl could be read as a stand-alone however to get the full taste, a clear and concise insight into the characters and a fluent, on the mark series then Runaway Girl (#1 in series) is a must read.
The Tyler family series is certainly one to watch, read and immerse yourself within the pages. The assorted flavour of each character Emma portrays across the pages, gives the depth and fulfilment of gangland pitches, a thriller with intention and the subtleness of emotional turmoil which is splayed across the pages when Freddie tries his utmost to prevent harm coming to Anna.
The dictation of the plot is seamless, Freddie encounters a problem, a girl has gone missing from one of his clubs, the police are involved, Anna is in danger, above all Freddie has to portray a certain decorum, one of a man unfazed, unflappable but also mindful of the title he carries amongst the ganglands of London, a Hard Man but also a Family Man. The resoluteness of Anna shines through even more in the Dangerous Girl as the pitiful, scared and emotionally scarred Anna has all but gone and a strong, resolute and resilient woman has emerged. Anna and Tanya have built a successful business in the Nightclub and everything is seemingly going from strength to strength so why is Anna in danger. Is the danger closer than we see….
Could Emma possibly warp my mind any more, the dark chills of ganglands, the thriller touch and the perfunctory nod of acceptance to where the Dangerous Girl was leading……….leading to the OMG Ending.

Dangerous Girl I found was better than the first book Runaway Girl which was out in May.
I opened this book on my kindle and I knew it was going to be a fantastic read from the first few pages and I wasn't wrong.
Dangerous Girl follows from Runaway Girl and continues the story of Anna, Freddie and co, Anna's business partner and close friend Tanya.
Freddie is still the king of his empire, a young girl Katherine Hargreaves goes missing from outside his club and he has to find her before its too late. Freddie has a lot to hide from the Police and they are breathing down his neck. His shipments have been rerouted, He has to be very careful who he see's and speak to so all meetings are rearranged etc. DCI Sarah Riley starts to investigate Freddie and he knows he will have to change the way he does things or his game is up. Tanya finds love and also has a stalker.
This book was just brilliant and a fantastic, roller coaster read that will leave you guessing who has taken the young girl.
I 100% agree If you love Martina Cole, Kimberley Chambers, Casey Kelleher and Jessie Keane, you’ll love Emma Tallon's book. Emma is a author you will need to watch...........

Right, this was a good story, gripping, intriguing with all the necessary elements. There is no doubt that Emma Tallon is a talented, imaginative and creative writer. However, and maybe I'm being puritanical here; I'm not a fan of books that aggrandise murderers. The more I read about what a great guy Freddy was, wonderful partner, devoted son, solicitous brother, in the back of my mind I was thinking, "he also murders people who get in his way". Try as I might to shift it, that thought kept pushing through. I didn't think it would bother me quite as much as it did. This leaves me in a quandary as to how many stars to award. I found it unsettling and disquieting but it was a good novel, eloquently written. I feel it's somewhat harsh to remove stars just because the moral of the story didn't sit well with me, after all, I chose to read it, nobody forced me. Maybe this is on Ms Tallon's agenda, how ridiculous we all are investing our hearts in Freddy and Anna, when he's a villainous murderer. I will definitely read more by Emma Tallon, but not in this series I think. Well written and compelling.

Anna is happy in her life. She is part owner of a club with hr best friend Tanya. She has a great boyfriend, Freddie. But things seem to be going on with Freddie and he hasn't been showing up where he should be and keeping secrets from her, which they never keep secrets from each other.
Freddie had a girl gone missing from the front of his club. Come to find out her dad is an important person and he hires Freddie to find her or he will have Anna in prison on trumped up charges and have her killed in prison. Freddie can't tell Anna any of this. We also find out about a crooked cop who is working for the important man.
Freddie can find out just about anything and has more power and can reach areas that the cops can't. But no matter how much Freddie goes looking , he just can't find the girl.
When the girl is finally found and we find out who took her it is very disturbing.
I have liked this series so far and had started out reading the 3rd book for a blog tour. So I read the 1st book last month and now this is the 2nd book and continuing on with this series.

This is the second book in the Anna Davies series and I enjoyed it equally as much as the first Runaway Girl. I did my usual and curled up with my kindle, a cuppa and whiled away a couple of hours lost in the murkier side of the London underworld lifestyle.
You could be forgiven for thinking that this is a love story because to an extent it is, it’s partly about the intense love between Anna and Freddie, a couple who couldn’t be more different. One is a criminal and the other as straight as they come. Their worlds collide in a spectacular fashion. This book delves into the world of drugs, kidnap and murder, their love and loyalty will be tested to its limit.
This is a really good series if you want a quick easy read. I would definitely recommend this to fans of Martina Cole and Kimberley Chambers to name but a few.

Anna has gotten away from her abusive ex boyfriend and herself and Tanya now own one of London's hottest clubs But her boyfriend, Freddie goes out in the middle of the night and she doesn't know where he goes.
The a girl goes missing from one of his clubs and Freddie goes mad. Then he's given an ultimatum if he doesn't find the girl Anna will die. Where is she and who is stalking Tanya? I was totally hooked the whole way through and loved the relationship between Freddie and Anna and how he risked everything for her and he is so good to those he cares about. Highly recommend Dangerous Girl and can't wait for more!

Ok
They would never imagine that he was a killer, someone who ended the lives of people who tried to cross him. He wondered what they would do if he told them he had suffocated a man to death, just days ago.
I hate soap operas and books that have secrets kept from their partners. I also can't believe how the police are belittled and called pigs and scum. The police are on the gangsters payroll and also blackmailing gangster Freddie, to find his missing daughter. On the understanding, Freddies girlfriend, Anna will be arrested and her throat slit if his daughter not found. How unbelievable that Freddie can transport drugs on such a huge scale, run brothels, protection and not get a collar. Also find a missing woman. The police were corrupt and I was cross reading their abhorrent behaviour. Farcial.

I did not know this was a second book in series and while reading it didn’t feel I missed something before so you can definitely read this as a stand alone novel.
