Intriguing Romance

Welcome to the world of MMA where he loves and she hates it. This wouldn't matter if their two worlds didn't collide sparking instant fireworks. Busiest twelve hours time span ever that will leave you wanting more as the secrets year these two apart. If you are looking for a great contemporary romance novel with a fight theme try this one. I really enjoyed it so I give it 4/5 stars.

JJ Knight has done it again!! It never fails all her books keep my attention from the time I start the book till the very last sentence! Score another point for JJ Knight! This book was amazing

But let me tell you WOW! I didn’t see that cliffhanger…I can’t wait for Reckless Attraction volume 2. It was a very fast read since I couldn’t put it down since I started it. If you like MMA guys…then this book is defiantly for you with the hunky Hudson as the main character. You’ll fall hard just like Chloe did for Hudson.

This is one of those stories that you think that is going to be boy meets girl, boy and girl fall head over heels in love and they get a HEA. Well don't expect that from a J.J. Knight book. She will throw you for a few loops and a few curveballs before she leaves you yelling and screaming because the book ends the way it does.
I know it is a three-part series, so I knew going in that this one would end in a cliffhanger but I didn't know it would leave me sitting there with my mouth hanging open.
I am not going to give anything away, just to say if you have read anything from this author, you know she can write an awesome story and to me MMA is by far my favorite from her.
So if you are looking for a story that will keep you on the edge and leave you guessing what will happen next, you need to read this one. I can wait to get my hands on book two.

Oh my....this story is bonkers! Sure it's fast and there's an insta-love aspect to it but the secrets....the Secretary what had me flying through each page. JJ wrote an exciting and mysterious story and then left me hanging! WTF? You're lucky I luv ya woman. Two strangers meet on a weird chance. They are instantly wound together neither really knows anything about the other. What they do know is that their chemistry is off the charts and something inside them is screaming that this is right.

Hudson is a tough nut with a soft and smooth center. He's the bad boy that every girl wants to find. While Chloe is a mystery. She's screwed up but it seems like in this volume we're just scratching the surface. One choice seems to seal their fates for the moment and again were left with a cliffhanger. I'm normally not a fan of the to be continued trend but this one was amazing. Can't wait to see what happens next!!! And neither should you.

I didn't read all the books you're supposed to before reading this one, but I for the picture (for the most part) of what happened before that led to this book. I was able to read the ARC and OMG. I cannot wait for the next 2 in the series. It sucks what happened and how it ended, but I recommend this book. It is a fairly quick read since I couldn't/didn't want to put it down, but had to work. The author has become one of my favorites, and I don't have many, so check out this book and her others. Happy reading!

JJ Knight is back with another MMA series!! It is Hudsons turn to find to love. Chloe is a great character and she is perfect for Hudson but she doesn't make it easy for him. This is the first book and yes it ends with a cliffhanger so beware. I can't wait for book two which is coming soon.

OMG.. I can't believe this ending on a cliffhanger... I can't wait to get the next book. This is an exciting read about an MMA boxer Hudson who is having trouble getting his career off to a good start. He decides to fight at an illegal boxing match. He calls for a SpeedRide from an app on his phone to go to the fight and waits. In the meantime professional protester Chloe Settle is planning on going to the fight to take picture and video so her group, Action for Action, can call the cops and have the place busted. She is a driver for SpeedRide and gets Hudson's request and answers it. She picks Hudson up and they immediately hit it off. They talk and open up to each other. She takes him to a secluded beach where her father used to take her. He was killed trying to save her sister, so this spot was special to her and she shared it with Hudson. He was touched. Which made him more attracted to her. They did not tell each other what they were really up to that night. That he was going to fight and that she was there to bust up the event. They went their separate ways. Chloe got into the warehouse where the fighting was and started to do her thing. Her boss Clarissa was waiting for Chloe to send her the photos and video. Then Chloe saw Hudson. She was torn. She wanted to save him. As she watched she knew she should leave before the cops got there, but she had to watch. Hudson was a clean fighter, smooth and graceful. Chloe was impressed. But time got away and the police came. She was arrested. Hudson was arrested. Hudson managed to get into the same squad car that Chloe was in. She felt miserable that she was the cause of the mayhem before her. Hudson tried to ask her if she was ok, but Chloe would not speak. He told her he had an attorney who would help her. All she had to do was either tell him or call the number he wrote on her arm. He knew their cell phones would be taken away from them. It was a smart move. But she still had hope that her boss Clarissa would come and bail her out. She finally found out that Clarissa was not bailing her out she decided to take Hudson's attorney's help. Hudson was worried about her. When she got out she was elated. Until the attorney who kept a straight face did not say anything to her. She entered the limo with Hudson and Hudson's mentor "The Cure McClure" was waiting for them. The Cure asked Hudson if he knew who the (in the book he did not use a nice word) woman was. Hudson said yes she was Chloe, a professional protester. The Cure told Hudson to ask Chloe what she was doing at the fight before she slips away. Hudson turned to Chloe but she was gone. What an ending... Can't wait for book two. This book had my complete attention. It was a quick read and moved at a very good pace. The storyline is excellent and the characters are well written. One could feel what they were going through. Determination, worry, uncertainty, pain, sorrow, disappointment, passion and romance. You could feel the excitement of the crowd at the fight. Very exhilarating. I received an Advanced Readers Copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

It is a reckless attraction 💖 and then the return of the cliffhanger⭐⭐⭐⭐

Reckless Attraction Volume 1 is classic J.J. Knight cliffhanger included which is a throwback to her roots style-wise and something anticipated and dreaded for her fans.
This time we're presented with Chloe and Hunter, both in their early twenties and both struggling to reclaim or reach their long awaited goals. Chloe is a strong, independent woman who barely has $5 to her name, works as a professional protester and moonlights as a “speedride" driver. With a new assignment, she uses her position as a driver to get there, stay incognito and try to beef up her budget all in one shot. Hunter, who is related to the Hurricane from previous J.J. Knight series, needs to win in the MMA circuit to consolidate his position as “THE" new contender and prove his value to his sponsors. Taking a huge risk and throwing caution to the wind (recklessly) he breaks from his training pattern, keeping his own plans as close to the best as possible, Hunter decides to use “speedride" to get to a underground venue and serendipity ensues.
Chloe became his driver and their attraction is immediate. This is where J.J. Knight shines because even when their relationship goes from 0-60 mph in mere seconds, the characters and setting are well defined thanks to the dual POV throughout the story. This volume focuses more in establish the hurdles our protagonists will have to face and romance comes second. Taking into consideration that everything happens in a matter of hours with a sprinkle of flashbacks to fill in and explain the who, where, and why's, I'll rate this volume 4 stars and will be in the lookout for the next volume July 23.

Very lively dialogues and interestingly diverse characters.

I loved the premise as the little spitfire plans to bust an illegal MMA fight while the unsuspecting hero is taking part in it to make a name for himself.

It was pretty to see how they connected over funny anecdotes and bittersweet memories. Though less acceptable that Hudson has a long flashback in the middle of a sweet moment with Chloe.

Despite that, the plot evolved nicely and the passion between them was addictive. I’m always fond of double POV, and I enjoyed it here because it allowed me to really know the inner thoughts of the characters.

The frantic scenes at the illegal fight event were very convincing. And I appreciated the detail that went into all the phases after the bust. The fear, the guilt, the unknown. I felt Hudson’s optimistic trust in the potential of this new relationship and how devasted Chloe was because of their incompatibility.

This first volume in the serial finished at a great crossroads for both characters, and I do want to know where it goes from there. And the writing style is good, too.

This is my 1st read and review for this author and what a fantastic story it is, this is the story of Chloe and Hudson. Hudson wants to make it big in the MMA but for now he is happy to be boxing in the illegal fights. Chloe is fighting against the illegal fights she is what they call a professional protestor, she is going to take pictures and send them back to her group so they can call the cops and get everyone arrested. Hudson called for a sped ride to take him to the fight and Chloe picks him up, the two of them hit it off and Chloe takes him to the beach where her father had died. Once they go their separate ways Hudson goes to the fight and so does Chloe, she takes pictures and sends them to her boss who calls the police but Chloe see’s Hudson there and she feels torn not knowing wether she should tell him that the cops are coming. Wow what a story I was hooked from the start and I was also shocked that it ended on a cliffhanger so now I’m going to get my hands on book 2. A fantastic read and it deserves more than 5 ⭐️ and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

A good start to a new 3 part serial.

I will only read cliffhanger books by a few favorite authors; JJ Knight (AKA Deanna Roy) is one of them. Reckless Attraction Vol. 1 gets this serial off to a good start. The story is told in first-person POV with chapters alternating between Chloe and Hudson.

Hudson and Chloe throw sparks off of each other right from the get-go when Chloe, a SpeedRide driver, picks him up and they end up going to her favorite beach spot before she takes him to his destination. Before they part they agree to meet for breakfast.

Things get pretty messed up and breakfast doesn't happen – at least not in this first book. Witty dialogue and likeable characters combined with fast pacing are all hallmarks of JJ Knight's writing. I'm looking forward to reading the rest of this series. These books will be release quickly with the final book due out in early August.

I’ve never read an MMA story nor anything written by JJ Knight before this book and I wasn’t sure what to expect with this ARC read. I was quite surprised at how well it was written and how tightly the story flowed.

Hudson washed out as a boxer right out of high school and has been training in mixed martial arts. He needs to get in his first fight even though his trainer doesn’t believe he is ready, but doing an unofficial, illegal fight is the best way to tell himself he is ready or not and he has his first set up tonight. Chloe supplements her income as a SpeedRide driver. Her job as an activist with Action for Action doesn’t pay much but it allows her to do something to right some wrongs in the world, and she is eager to bust tonight’s illegal fight because it is very personal. She just doesn’t plan on an immediate connection with her passenger, Hudson.

Yes there is a cliffhanger, but this doubter is hooked!

Great read

This brought me back to Uncaged Love with the way that it was written. In this series we get to learn more about Jo’s brother Hudson. He is still working his way up to being an MMA fighter. He feels he is ready while everyone else doesn’t. We meet Chloe when she gives Hudson a ride to a fight. Along the way the two have this strong connection to one another. They eventually make plans to get together the next day as they both have things they need to do but neither one has told each other what it is. Along the way a bunch of people end up in jail. Colt arranges for Hudson to get released and eventually Hudson gets Chloe out. In the end they both learned what each other was doing that night. Will they eventually meet back up and discuss what happened and figure out their relationship, who knows. Cannot wait until the next one is out.

Holy feels. This book was so intriguing and exciting. I was on the edge of my seat. I loved this book so hard. JJ Knight is one of the greats , be sure not to miss this new duet.
Her writing is like watching a play, it’s descriptive and the characters were great.

Delicious MMA fighter Hudson and his ride Chloe hit it off at first sight. Only Chloe doesn’t like fighters due to a tragedy in her past. Good thing she doesn’t know what he does, yet. After all it’s her job to take down the underground fight he’s headed too. What happens when he finds out what she’s done. I can’t wait to find out.

I highly recommend this book.

First off, let me say that this is my first time reading anything by this author, but it certainly won't be the last. She knows how to craft a story that will draw you in from the very first page. I was so consumed with this story that I read the entire book in just one sitting. I just could not put it down!

Reckless Attraction is an awesome MMA series! It centers around Hudson and Chloe. They are extremely well developed characters, and I dare you not to fall in love with them. It is simply impossible not to! I will warn you-there is a huge cliff with this one. I cannot wait for the follow up book! I need it ASAP!

This is my 1st JJ Knight book & I received an ARC for a honest review. I greatly enjoyed reading this book. It's about 2 strangers that fall in love & have many secrets that they slowly reveal to each other throughout the story. During this part 1 Chloe & Hudson don't tell each other everything about themselves but they learn enough that they want to see more of each other. Chloe learns that Hudson is an MMA fighter & Hudson finds out that she is a professional protester. This does not bother Hudson, but Chloe is not really happy about Hudsons fights. They see each other at an illegal fight & both end up getting arrested when the fight is busted. They are both bailed out of jail & unfortunately for me this is where it ends.
On to part 2!

I have had the Uncaged Love and the Fight for Her series on my TBR for forever but still haven't read them. The beginning of the Reckless Attraction trilogy has me wanting to drop everything and read them immediately!

The queen of cliffhangers has done it again with this new series!! I am anxiously awaiting Volume 2 so I can find out how things are going to go for Hudson and Chloe. I need to know how these two who are on opposite sides of the same fight are going to be able to overcome such a monumental obstacle. This new series is already amazing and I can't wait to see what comes next!!

I was given a copy of this book to review. I haven't yet read the previous books in this series but plan to now after reading this one. This isn't your typical boy meets girl, and they live happily ever after. This book is filled with secrets, tragedy, and sorrows. I'm really excited to read this author's next book that is released. I plan to go back to the start of the series so that I'll be caught up for the next one. I read this book in one evening and did not put it down until I was finished. I do think that the beginning started out a little slowly, but I think that was due to the rest of the book going by so quickly. I would really like to get to know the characters a little better in the next book.

J.J Knight has done it again! A new MMA fighting series. It's Hudson's turn to fall in love! It's so easy to fall in love with him he's a great character. It took me just a little bit longer to start liking Chloe but I am certain that I'll be liking her more in Book 2. Can't wait to start book 2 as this book ends with a Cliffhanger! I need to know ASAP what's going to happen.
It was extremely well written and really liked the flow of the story, plus it had double POV so I found it easier to connect with both characters! Read it in one sitting :-)

Hudson is a fighter who trains in a famous gym. He is eager to prove he is ready for a real fight, but everybody thinks he is not.
Chloe is a professional protester who works for an extreme protest organization. Her next mission is to get proofs of an illegal MMA fighting ring.
I’m not into fighters, but I got this book because I have read another series by the author. I have to say I don’t regret it at all.
It’s quick to read, full of action, impossible to stop reading until the last page. The only but is the cliffhanger but it’s totally worth it.
If you like good stories and don’t mind cliffhangers, then this is your book.

It's been a while since JJ Knight wrote MMA stories but oh it's been worth the weight. Hudson is the brother of Jo, who married into the McClure family, a big deal in the MMA world. Chloe has her world turned upside down by people who have had experience of MMA and now she is vocal about it. Chloe picks up a Speedride for drop off near her next assignment and the chemistry with the passenger is off the charts. Hudson and Chloe form an instant connection which comes toppling down when she does her job and has an illegal fight raided by police. Hudson is one of the fighters. Everyone gets arrested. Can't wait for book two, to continue the story.

YOu have two characters who have undeniable chemistry, but they have pretty opposite views on things! Hudson is an MMA fighter, and Chloe works for an organizATOIN that busts underground fights. This time because of her attraction to one fighter, she doesn't get out in time and ends up getting arrested right along side Hudson. Can they get over the fact that they are from two different worlds and fighting for two different reasons? This is a cliffhanger and you will have to wait for book 2 to see who things end up with these two.
Great story line and great chemistry and interaction between characters. I highly recommend this book and anything this author writes!

Hudson is Jo's brother, who is training to be an MMA fighter. He feels that he is ready, but no one but him thinks so. Chloe works for a protester organization.
They were so different from each other, but the attraction between them was huge. They were fighting in opposite sides, Hudson to make his name in the MMA ring, and Chloe working to shut it down.
With that, a lot of people end up in jail, including both of them.
Will they be able to overcome the differences and give in to the feelings that have arisen between them? Or will their convictions be bigger than the feelings?
I'm anxiou for the next book in this series.

If you have read this author's first MMA series, you will jump right back into that story with this being a followup with the same characters a few new ones too.

I have read her books in the past because I had never read any stories about MMA fights or the sport in general. She has done it again and told a good story about two people who, from just book one, are very attracted to one another but have different reasons for being at the a particular place. Can the guy get the girl? Does he even want the girl? Will the girl be able to set aside her differences to get the guy and keep him? Book one has me wanting to keep reading the story just find out the answers. Will their differences be to much to love each other!

I waited to read this as I knew it would be a classic Cliff Hanger BUT I wasn't ready for it to be at the moment it was. I read it in a few hours all at once as I couldn't put it diwn. Now I am patiently waiting for #2 which I can't wait to jump into.
JJ Knight keeps us hanging on by our toes & it's always worth it.

When Hudson and Chloe meet there’s an instant connection. A pull to one another that almost seems fated. There’s a small problem though. Hudson and Chloe stand on opposing sides or so it may seem. Only time will tell.
I think Hudson and Chloe’s story will be a story about fighting for what you want and what you believe in.
The book ends in a cliffhanger but instead of turning me off it left me wanting more. Can’t wait for the next installment of the series.

Great start to the series!! Who would have thought that when Chloe left to pick up a ride, that she would fall hard for the client, Hudson. The chemistry is undeniable from the time they set eyes on each other. When Hudson finds out why Chloe was at the raided fight, will he still feel the same about her? Reckless Attraction: Volume One by J.J. Knight was a great read. Before I go any further I must say that J.J. Knight is definitely the queen of cliffhangers. She definitely doesn't disappoint with this book. Hudson and Chloe meet up on a fateful night. It is a night that will completely change their lives. I can't wait to read more of their story.
