I read and worked through this book while working at Boeing on their Softplotter software. The error modeling in their geolocation of satellite imagery and radar imagery is based upon the methods of Mikhail, basically least squares methods applied to linearized sensor models.
Interesting book, not badly written, and very important in that particular domain.
