Kirio Muji has been adopted by an adorable robot named Q•ko-chan and is taking part in a battle against octopus—like creatures, mind-controlled aliens, and his own government. But now a whole hoard of robots like Q•ko-chan has shown up–and when his hated sister Furiko is adopted by the most powerful robot, the battle reaches a shattering climax.
With a mix of thrilling adventure and ultra-cute robots, Q•ko-chan is a manga event not to be missed!
I didn’t really understand the ending, nevertheless the art was fantastic (I wanna master line weight like Hajime-san some day!). I haven’t seen it, but I’m aware of the basic premise of Darling in the Franxx, which feels oddly similar to Q•Ko-Chan’s. This story feels like it laid the groundwork/inspiration for that anime.
This volume capitalizes on everything the first volume had, and dumps drama and rising conflict all over the place. It is no longer a situation of who can defeat the enemy but who gets to survive the longest between the previous generation and the new generation (old military generals/the teens of the story, as an example). The art style is still stunning as ever, the plot thickens, and the ending leaves you with wanting more than you will ever be given.
