An Enemies to Lovers Second Chance Romance! He was my first kiss. The man I wanted to spend eternity with. And then the monster broke my heart. After that fateful night at prom, I swore I'd never go near Sam Logan or his family every again. But when my sister gets engaged to Sam's brother, I'm forced to walk back into his world. Avoiding him becomes impossible. And when he gets me alone in his bedroom, the place we first gave in to our aching, hungry need... I know he's going to make me his again. But second chances come at a price. After all this time wondering why Sam hurt me years ago, I'm close to discovering an answer. I should be happy. Instead, I'm terrified. His secret pushed us apart once. This time... the truth could destroy us forever.
NO cheating, no cliff hangers! The Dirty Brothers Series follows three powerful, passionate men as they encounter the rare women who make their hearts thud with true love. But don't you DARE think these stories aren't packed to the page with hot, explicit fun... because trust me, they're as skin-melting as anything I've ever written.
ARC received by author in exchange for an honest review!
I was so looking forward to this one because the first one was so much fun and we got a glimpse of Sam and Fiona. And it was so much more than I thought! It was so much more complicated than I thought. I liked it a lot!
It was a hot and steamy one with a twist here and there.
3.5 stars 🌟🌟🌟on the sexy, smutty scale. I enjoyed this so much more than than the first book in this series . This is a second chance smutty romance novella and also the second book of the series. ARC received in exchange for an honest review.
So she slept with him several times after believing he cheated on her? She treated her sister like crap for sleeping with a Logan and yet she fell into his bed when he was the one who actually hurt her? Nope. Total crap
This was as deep as a puddle. Way too much sex but hardly any substance. The reason for their separation turned out to be so ridiculous. The whole book was ridiculous! At least it's so short I didn't waste too much time on it.
The stories that these brothers keep! Steamy hot with a little mysterious thrown in to make a very enjoyable read. Sneaking off and getting hot with a Logan never looked so good!
This Logan brother sizzles :-D The story starts with a very romantic event, but not for the heroine who is still drowning in melancholy for a love lost to betrayal.
Then she sees Sam again and it suddenly explodes in an episode of lust that made my kindle tremble :-D A hot and sweaty walk down Memory Lane. I was eager to read about Fiona's story because her heart was still pining for the man she had loved as a teenager. I had to believe there was a second chance for her and Sam, this handsome dog owner.
I enjoyed their truce in this battle of body and soul, their walks together, the sinfully enticing scene around a dinner at home. What a sugar rush!! The secret that had torn them apart seems farfetched and messy, but also creative, and it allows a happy ending. After the initial shock, I relished the aftermath of romance and steamy reconciliation. Even Rose and Thomas had a great appearance that felt like a very satisfying way to end this intense novella. My favourite is still the previous novella, though I thoroughly enjoyed this one.
Sam & Fiona were suppose to be together forever until prom night, when Fiona thought she saw Sam do the unthinkable. Now 10 years later they come face to face at Rose & Thomas engagement party. The spark is there just like their broken hearts, can they finally get over the past and have a future? I liked Sam & Fiona together, I honestly thought I would hate Sam but he definitely redeemed himself. Another sexy read by Penny that I didn’t want too stop reading.
I voluntarily reviewed this Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
At the beginning, I was like “what is going on here?” Fiona hates Sam and has avoided him for 10 years, then she does something very odd. It didn’t make sent. But then I was enjoyed this story. I love second chance romances. Sam and Fiona were each other’s firsts. Then it all ended on prom night, when Fiona thought Sam was cheating. He wasn’t. The story of what happened was a little far-fetched, but it didn’t take away from the story.
I’m loving this series so far and I will read the third soon. I would recommend this series.
First of all I read the previous book Flirt which I love so much before this one I thought it was amazing. I love Thomas and Rose’s love story. However the author painted Fiona in such a bad light I nearly hated her through out the first book. So to now try to fall in love with this characters was complicated. Sam was ok I didn’t know much about him but Fiona was a challenge for me to even feel like she deserve my sympathy. The story it’s nice but if u wanna enjoy it just read this one first otherwise u would not be able to connect to the heroine in it. I guess my advice to the author is ,don’t make a character so bitchy and annoying only to try to make me change my mind a book later. Neither book was long enough to explore her personality in detail. So we only got the first book on this series to go by. Wow longest review I have ever given it’s just that I felt so cheated. Sorry Penny Wylder I really enjoy your writing but this was a hit an a miss.
I absolutely hate books where all it would take is communication to fix the issue. Letting 10 years go by over something so stupid just ticked me off. Not to mention resorting to sex the first time they see each other in 10 years is not realistic. I need a little more meat that fleshes our characters more.
This is the second book in the Dirty Brothers series and although its a stand alone I recommend reading Flirt first.
Fiona and Sam were high school sweethearts, but their love was destroyed when she found him with another girl on prom night. Devasted and heartbroken she has spent the past ten years avoiding him and trying to heal her shattered heart, but now with her younger sister marrying his brother they are about to meet again. The chemistry is still electric between them no matter how much she wishes it wasn't but they cant move on until he gives her the explaination she needs to close that chapter of her life.
Sam has always loved Fiona but thanks to a family secret he has never been able to be honest with her. Seeing her again makes him see how much he has hurt her and how much he still loves her. Convincing her to a dinner so that they can be civil to one another for their siblings wedding. Sam realises that he wants another chance with Fiona, she has always been the one for him and nothing has changed. Can he convince Fiona to give them another shot? Can Fiona live with not having the truth of that fateful night or will Sam finally give her the truth?
This book is seriously hot and has a great storyline. Another fun read from Ms Wylder.
I am loving this new series! Sam and Fiona's story is full of hope after such heartache the two have had to suffer for 10 years. A misunderstanding on prom night came between the two and a secret has kept them apart. The two have now come face to face at the engagement party of Sam's brother Thomas to Fiona's sister, Rose. The two are unable to deny the attraction they still have for one another. Ten years has only made it stronger. Sam has never stopped loving Fiona and wants her still. Fiona can not deny that she still loves Sam but without Sam willing to deal with the past and explain what happened she doesn't see how she can let it go. As the two spend time together the love they have for one another grows stronger. Sam is beginning to realize keeping his secret is not doing anyone any good. Eventually he lets Fiona know what the secret is and why he felt he had to keep it. Knowing the reason Sam felt he had to keep the secret helps Fiona decide that Sam has always been her one true love and leads them to finally getting their long awaited HEA! I can not wait to see what is in store for the rest of the Logan brothers!
I love reading Penny Wylder’s books. She has a way of telling the story in a quick read. I loved the interactions between these two characters and can’t wait to read Robert’s book.
We were first introduced to Sam and Fiona in Flirt. They’re story was heartbreaking. Two young teenagers on the verge of becoming adults sharing a magical night at their senior prom. Fiona sees Sam with another girl and thinks the worst has happened. She confronts Sam and asks him about it, but he refuses to talk. She leaves him heartbroken and avoids contact with him for the next 10 years. They see each other again for the first time at Rose and Thomas’ engagement party. Sparks fly from their unresolved feelings. She agrees to see him for dinner in order to be around Sam for the wedding. The past is brought back up, and Sam refuses to tell what happened because of a secret that’s not his to tell. Can Fiona be with him without knowing the truth of this night? Or will Sam decide Fiona had a right to know and hope she can forgive him?
4.5⭐️ Sam and Fiona share a past. It ended with two broken hearts and no answers.
It’s been ten years since the night everything fell apart but it’s like time stood still. When they finally see eachother again, their attraction only seems to have heightened and the love they shared is still there. You could feel the electricity between the two of them!
Sam wants to move forward, but Fiona wants some answers and closure. Secrets destroy lives and Fiona just can’t let it go of the past without finding out the truth.
These two definitely bring the heat!!! I fell in love with their love that never went away. They led their lives hoping to get back to where they belonged, even if they didn’t realize it. These two were meant to be together forever. This story delivers on the sizzling chemistry, hot sex and love that was meant to be.
Bonne histoire courte basée sur une seconde chance Great second short story of the series (it can be read even without read the first one), well written with great characters, but quite simple (probably because it’s a short story). There are some hot sex scenes. I really loved it but I chose 4 stars because I was a little disappointed by the reason why the characters were separated for 10 years (it didn’t need to be so long to be solved …) Few years ago, Samuel seemed to have cheated on Fiona during the prom’s night. Since then, she hates him, but when they meet again during her sister engagement party to his brother, they have sex and she escapes because she can’t stand not knowing what happened 10 years ago. To evolve, they will have to open and answer the questions from their past. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
I thought Thomas but HOT but he’s nothing compared to his brother Sam!
When former high school sweethearts, Fiona & Sam, find themselves as the Maid of Honor and Best Man for their sister and brother’s wedding, they can’t help but be transported back to a time when they were utterly in love. However, their relationship ended in flames when Fiona believes Sam cheated on her on prom night, 10 years ago. All Fiona wants is closure from Sam and all Sam wants is a fresh start. Can Sam give Fiona the closure she needs and can Fiona give Sam the chance that he’s asking for?
This book was HOT, HOT, HOT, from beginning to end. Could those Lucas boys be any sexier?!?
Sam and Fiona were high school sweethearts. When Fiona sees Sam with another girl on prom night she avoids him. 10 years later, Fiona’s sister is marrying Sam’s brother. For the sake of her sister, Fiona tries to be civil. They still have chemistry and find it hard to stay away from each other.
This is book 2 of the series. It is a stand alone, but I recommend getting book 1 Flirt. Fiona is not vindictive. She is trying to protect herself. Sam is a likable hero. Alpha enough to be hot, yet not jerky. The story is good. Spicy with enough tension to make the story interesting. Really great, quick read. Penny Wylder is my go to author for a great spicy story!
I don’t know what the author was thinking while writing this book. Enemies to lovers? Didn’t find any moments in the book where the acted like enemies. The heroine becomes a slutty sex starved mess after seeing the hero after 10 years (they didn’t even see each other in passing for 10 years while living in the same town? Come on!). The heroine just forgets that the H betrayed her and has sex with him. The whole suspense of this book was so ridiculous I can’t even.. So yeah, won’t be reading any books of this author again.
I still had some negative feelings towards Fiona in this one. I found her so childish in the first book that it was hard to like her. I did get a little respect for her because she stuck to her guns and said she truly couldn't be with him due to the mistrust and deception before. The twist was a little weird, I cant say much without giving it away but I recall his saying, "yea she did try and kiss me, but i didn't let it happen"...and if i did read that right...with the twist...it is kind of disgusting.
I received Lust by Penny Wylder as an ARC for an honest review.

This story is about first loves, first heart break and everything in between. The characters were fun and so compatible. There's happiness, sadness, family, love, lust and everything in between.
Highly recommend❤ Synopsis: He was my first kiss. The man I wanted to spend eternity with. And then the monster broke my heart. My rating: 3/5 Hero: 3/5 Heroine: 3/5 POV: first person pov Angst level: 1/5 Steam level: 4/5 Trigger/Taboe/Genre: enemies to lovers, second chance
Eleven years ago, Fiona’s heart got broken by Sam Logan. She & her sister Rose made a pact to have nothing to do with the Logan brothers, but now Rose is going to marry Sam’s brother. Fiona’s the maid of honor & Sam’s the best man so they need to be civil with each other. Fiona finds out the truth from eleven years ago. Nothing is what it seems.
Things I liked: - Sam Logan - I was bitching in me previous review about not knowing what would happen with Rose & Thomas, well now we know! I’m really happy their story continued in this one. - the plot, I didn’t see it coming at all
Things I didn’t like: **CAN CONTAIN SPOILERS** - Fiona had no backbone what so ever. She hated Sam, he really broke her heart. Even after 11 years, she couldn’t forget him. The first time they saw each other again, they had sex. - Sam never explained himself after the ‘cheating’, although Fiona was the love of his life, he couldn’t trust her enough to tell the truth. He’d rather lose her than tell the truth (totall bs in my eyes).
My opinion: This story could’ve had a lot more of potential if it was longer. Everything was going to fast in my opinion. Fiona never forgave Sam for what he did but she did have sex with him a couple of times. Also the engagement was too soon in my eyes. Sam never explained himself to Fiona & I think he was never going to & still Fiona forgave him in 1-2-3. I’m not really interested in his other brother’s story but I’ll probably read it anyway.
I read a different book this author and liked it and so I've decided to try another one. I was very disappointed at how unbelievable and stupid this book was. First of all, the h was angry at the H for ten years and she falls into bed with him the first chance she sees him again? That's not the behavior of someone that's been boiling mad for so long. That's just called being a stupid and a complete spineless twit. I didn't have any respect or liking for her after that. I just started to skim. When it finally came for the big reveal of the secret that kept them apart for so long, I wanted to die of boredom. It turns out that the H's decision to keep it a secret was just dumb and then the secret itself wasn't even worth the time that I took to read this book. It felt like it was just made up drama to keep stringing readers along. If I could give no stars I would. It's not even worth a stardust.
I really enjoyed this second chance romance and I loved Sam and Fiona. These two shared a meant to be high school romance that took a heartbreaking turn on prom night. Now, fate has brought them back together. The attraction and chemistry is still there and very hot. Sam still wants Fiona and Fiona is finding it difficult to resist Sam. However, she feels she can't trust him without knowing the truth and Sam's resistant to telling it to her. With pain and a big secret still standing between them can they ever get back together? Will the truth set them back on the road to their HEA or will it drive them apart and destroy their last chance at happiness? Read this enjoyable, emotion packed book book to find out. This is my voluntary, honest review.
If you like fast-paced, second chance, insta-love from hate, get this deliciously naughty book! Fiona and Sam are thrown together again after 10 YEARS b/c their siblings are getting married…double he!! Anyway, they can’t forget how things used to be when they lost their virginity to each other. Such a good book, so much naughty, some angst…WHY were they apart for 10 long years? You find out by the end of the book. I couldn’t figure out what in the world could have kept Sam silent all these years b/c it’s so obvious he loves Fiona and she loves him. Loved this book. It comes highly recommended if you like delicious scenes and lots of them, wink. I was offered an ARC to review but I had to buy this one. Looking forward to the next standalone story. Is it about Robert?
I Loved Fiona and Sam’s story. Fiona never got over the hurt that Sam caused her 11 years ago, but now with her sister marrying Sam’s brother she knows that it will be impossible to avoid him. When these two run into each other it’s impossible to deny the chemistry and feelings that these two still have for each other. I Love how even though her head is telling her to still be angry with him, heart is telling her to reclaim her love and to be happy. Love and Happiness always wins. Great addition to this series!!
I knew I'd love Sam and Fiona's story. We felt her pain in the first book of the series, and this book takes you through it even more. We knew some crap went down between these two in high school, and the twist when it's revealed is definitely worth the wait. Their sexy times were phenomenal, from start to finish. This author has a great way of making short stories pack quite a punch, and she did it well with this book. Highly recommend.
This is the second book in this series and focus on Sam and Fiona sibling of the first books couple. Sam and Fiona were high school sweetheart but Sam broke it off flash forward 10 years. Fiona doesn't want to be anywhere bears a Logan especially Sam but it's her sisters engagement. Once these two are each other it obvious they are still in love years later. But why did Sam do what he did? Read on to find out!
Fiona Monroe and Samuel Logan reconnect after 10 years of separation and anger (on her part) because her younger sister is marrying his younger brother. To say that the sparks are gone would be a complete lie, but can they make amends and start again?
I recommend lust at a 3.5 rating because I feel like there are holes in the story that should have been closed. It left me with too many questions.
