Kail was told early on that you could do anything in life but run from your past. She didn’t know how true that was until she watched her parents get murdered in front of her. Leaving her home in Compton, she vowed never to forget the pain she was leaving behind.
Now all grown up, Kail thinks she’s in love with a prince that‘s until she meets a king or should we say, knight.
When Knight laid eyes on her, he knew she was going to be his. Not taking no for an answer, he snatches Kali away from the only man she knew, making her his First Lady.
When Knights’ father’s past comes back to bite him in the ass, he’s forced to take a loss that’ll have him questioning those around. Taking on everything that comes his way, he runs full force to take down those around him. When Kali and Knight are forced to come together will they have a happy ending? Or will they both be taken out?
Ok first, the editing for this book was HORRIBLE! So many grammatical errors & the author was speaking for the characters in between them telling their story. Second I felt like this book was missing ALOT! Like how do you just jump from one thing to the next & we don't even know what happened? The author started story lines that were left unexplained and you don't even hear about the characters anymore. Nothing was ever explained and then at the end it was just boring & predictable and again NO EXPLANATION. I have it two stars only because it's started off like it could be a good book, but I would not have read a part two if there was one. This was just missing too much to even say it was a complete story.
From beginning to end thus was a great read. Knight played no games when he met Kali. Jackson seem off from the beginning of this tale. I mean come on who gone wait that long for someone to be married, I thought her and Tyson would end up together but it all worked out. Now back to Tone he needs a spin off he was gone too easy
Tyson and Jackson was b!tch boyz from the beginning. I didn't like Tone or Lola. I wish Cam and Tina could of made it. Knight showed Kali what a real Man was. Meech was wrong for holding all those secrets. It took Kayla a long time to wise up but glad she did. I loved me some Ronda she was that Mother who didn't tolerate that disrespect.
Loyalty of blood or loyalty of love. The secrets that this family had tore them apart. Cam cam cam man why and then Tina too much. I’m so glad Kali and Knight got their happy ending. Great read.
I’m so sad that happened to Tina. She was my favorite person in the book. That’s messed up that Kali couldn’t trust any of the men in her family. Thank goodness for her Knight in shining armor. Excellent read as always!
All the signs was there abusive secretive and bipolar this chunky eyes bish was a monster glad he got his karma....My boi out of on her from the moment he laid eyes on her she was his I love a great love story .....OUT FREAKING STANDING
I loved the ride you took me on with this story. It had been so good and I'm glad knight and Kali got their fairytale. I was sad for Tina but I'm glad she was able to gain a friend in tone. They would have been the perfect couple.
Ok, so I gave this book five stars but honestly I don’t know how I feel. It was just so much, like why did that have to happen to Tina? Why even put Lola part in there? I mean 🤦🏾♀️ I don’t even know what to say really. At least Knight and Kali got their happy ending.
This book was good from the beginning. It was a shame Kali couldn’t even trust her own family. Why Tina though? That part was so sad. I’m glad Kali and Knight got it together. I didn’t like Jackson from the start.
Taken is has done it again with another 5 star banger. No cliffhangers you get everything in 1 book and it was a page turner. You definitely need to read this one.
I'm glad all the secrets came out and Kali found the love of her life. Tina was a good friend and I'm upset she went out like that. Great job I enjoyed it.
Another great book from this author...This standalone was wonderful, storyline was on point,it was very visional in words..Really enjoyed this..Great Job!!
