When she was a little girl, Michaela Snow dreamed of a life full of love and adventure, but not all dreams come true. As a widow raising her niece, Lauren, she doesn’t have time to think about what could have been, and she certainly will not allow herself to think about a certain taekwondo instructor with mesmerizing hazel eyes. Meeting Evan was never part of the plan, and now she can’t seem to get rid of him. She doesn’t want him there, however, the more he’s around, the more she finds herself reluctantly trusting him.

Evan Gibson loves his life and his job, but something is missing. After watching his friends find partners to share their lives with, he wants the same thing for himself. One night stands no longer hold the same appeal they did and so far, no woman has been able to measure up to his ideal…until Michaela.

Complications arise, threatening everything. Life is about to change. Will it tear them apart or push them together?

Staking a claim doesn’t always mean forever.

Maria Vickers is a bestselling and award-winning author who currently resides in St. Louis, MO with her pug, Spencer Tracy. She has always had a passion for writing and after she became disabled in 2010, she decided to use writing as her escape. Life is about what you make of it, you have to live it to the fullest no matter the circumstances.

From a young age, she has always loved books and even dreamed of being an author when she was younger. Growing up in the Navy, she used to weave tales for her siblings and her friends about anything and everything. And when she wasn't creating her own stories, she had a book in her hand. They transported her to another world. She hopes that her readers will have the same experience when reading her stories, and that, in some way, they can relate to her characters.

Getting sick changed her life forever, but it also opened doors for her that she thought would always be out of reach.

Evan's book was a long time coming, but he was worth the wait. Exposed gave us Brian, Redemmed gave us Chad but Evan was always there in the back ground, peeking out now and then. I'm so glad the Author did him justice. Micheala is the perfect woman for him. (of I can't have him for reals he should have love) her adopted daughter gives Evan a way to connect with her, as well as us the reader as well.

Life for Michaela hasn’t exactly panned out the way she thought it would and she never envisaged being a full-time parent to anyone (well not just yet anyway) but when she is left with limited options, she steps up and takes on the role of parent for her niece Lauren.
She has tried her very best to ensure that Lauren wants for nothing and treats her as her own but things aren’t easy for the child, she has more than her fair share of issues but Michaela is determined to do everything she can to help her plow through. So, when the opportunity of a martial arts class come onto the radar it seemed like a great way of helping Lauren to make sense of some of the things that were plaguing her. What Michaela hadn’t planned for was Evan, the sexy as sin instructor that despite the fact she was so obviously attracted to him…just had to stay at arm’s length, she had more than enough on her plate for the time being without adding the complications of a man into the equation…like that old chestnut was ever going to wash! Pfft!!!
Would Evan listen to her and stay away or would he listen to his heart and make darn sure that the only place he was going was to make her his! He did everything right, he played a slow and steady game but was Michaela taking the bait or was it a fool’s errand?
I thought the author worked their story out perfectly, they had something that just clicked into place straight off the bat but getting to where they needed to be was always going to be complicated, there was more than their fair share of problems to get over in order to get any semblance of a happy ever after.
Creative and compulsive, this was a real page-turner

I was so excited when I saw there was another book in this series, I loved the previous two, and Claimed is a fantastic addition to the series. So, what happens when you take a reticent young widow trying to bring up her troubled niece, add a great guy - who, although you are are totally not interested in getting involved, might just be worth getting to know, and throw in the feistiest grandmother a person could ask for? Why just the right blend for a love story of course...! The romance between Michaela and Evan is a delightfully slow burn, Michaela, especially has enough on her plate without becoming involved in something which may not last - very leery of trusting that Evan is not just after a fling, while Evan is determined to prove he is in it for keeps. This book is beautifully written with a great cast of characters. Evan appeared in the previous two books and I was so glad he got his own story. Oh and Grace - she is a hoot; very loving but definitely not backwards in coming forwards and, when Michaela needs more than a gentle push - Grace is right there with the proverbial kick up the bum! Romantic, a little steamy, funny, heartwarming, poignant and absolutely riveting - Claimed is right up there with my all time favourite books - thank you Ms Vickers!

Michaela's plate is full since she adopted her young niece Lauren, who has some big issues, and trying to raise her on her own as. When she enrolls her taekwondo to help with some of those issues, she meets Evan, that sexy instructor, and while she feels a strong attraction to him, she convinces herself he was never part of her unexpected plan. Evan takes one look at the young widow, and knows that he wants to make her his, but Michaela is determined to keep him at arms length, no matter how slowly he moves. Will he ever get her to trust him enough to take a chance on them? Claimed was an amazing story that did Evan proud. He was the ultimate hero, not a manwhore, just all around good guy. Michaela was the perfect woman for him, although, her push & pull was almost too frustrating as she was just scared. So, they definitely had the whole slow burning thing down, which almost drove me mad, but kept me turning the pages quickly. And the cast of secondaries, especially Grace, were amazing, as they added some serious humor that was needed through all the angst filled goodness. I LOVE this series, and the talented Maria Vickers wrote another amazing story that I couldn't get enough of! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!

This a make you feel good, grip your heart, emotional read. It packs the emotion and the feels for sure. I laughed a lot while reading this, but then the characters would rip my heart open with their pasts. There even some parts that had me on the edge of my seat. I felt this book was well rounded. The epilogue was the cherry to this book. It was the perfect touch to end this book because these characters deserved an ending like that. This is the third book in the series and the first one I've read. It can be read as a standalone. Though I am going to go back and read the previous books especially Emma and Bryan's story.

Claimed by Maria Vickers was a sweet romance. Well written and thought out, but sadly I felt that it really didn’t grab me. I can’t even put my finger on the why or how it didn’t. Generally, I have an idea as to why I just can’t connect with the characters but this time I just don’t. I liked Micky and I liked Evan, but I didn’t love them. I did however adore Lauren. My heart broke for her and all that she was trying to overcome. But even that emotion couldn’t make me fall in love with this book.

I absolutely dislike when I don’t fall in love with a book. It truly stresses my little reviewer heart out. I hate not being able to rave about the characters because I am always afraid that my dislike or lackluster view of the book will make one of you, my readers, not give it a chance. Yet, I can’t try to love a book just because I want to. And sadly, I just can’t fall in love with this book. It was a good fast read but it is not  one I am likely to pick up and read again. If you want something simple, sweet and easy you will truly enjoy this book. But that’s all I could use it for, to pass the time instead of something to sweep me away.

Claimed is my favourite book of the Love Seekers series! It was well written and a great read. I felt a lot of emotions reading this book.

My heart went out to Michaela's niece, Lauren; her start to life wasn't exactly the best but she got lucky with her aunt, Michaela. I was moved to tears a few times when life threw the poor child some nasty moves and again with how she had Evan, Michaela, and Grace (Michaela's hilarious grandmother) to look out for her.

Evan is a lovely, loyal, strong, sexy man. I can see why Michaela was attracted to him, but I can't understand how she resisted him for so long... Well, I can see why, when I read the reasons for her reluctance to trust him, but still! The man is hot!

I think Grace is my favourite character though. She is one meddling, funny, sneaky, lovable old lady, she has been a great character throughout the series and makes this series worth the read all on her own, with her brand of humour.

This book may be part of the series but can definitely be read as a stand-alone. I have read and enjoyed them all.
