In book number 8 in the series, we get Bonner and Stephanie's story. Stephanie has been a thorn a lot of people's sides in Clifton. She was a spoiled "Daddy's girl" and when things went sour with her trying to get Wyatt back from Olivia, it didn't turn out good. Now her DAd is in jail and she is struggling to keep the ranch operating. Bonner may be attracted to her but he's not happy about it and does everything in his power to stay away from her. That doesn't help because he is her ranch foreman. He's a jerk at first but realizes that maybe Stephanie really is sorry for everything she's done in the past to people he cares about. How is that going to play in their future? Will Stephanie think she was just a one night stand for him and does he still think she has a thing for Wyatt. Misunderstands and hurt feelings get in the way for both of them but can they finally get together? Susan Fisher Davis always pulls her readers in with her stories from the first page. And she knows how to write cowboys very well. I highly recommend this book.

Warning: if you do not want to read this entire series, it is best not to start. I simply wanted a re-read of #1 and now it is 7 stories later and more to come. Each has an HEA angst, a wonderful community and neighbors, close friends, misunderstandings, Montana weather and some of the most handsome cowboys who could definitely show today's young men how to wear jeans!

This is a story of redemption and was well done. Stephanie earned her second chance, HEA and the forgiveness of the people she had hurt. It took courage but the process made her stronger.

Bonner is my type of man. He speaks his mind, and doesn't pull punches. Stephanie is beaten down but not broken, a woman who needs a second chance. Will the folks of Clifton grant it, despite her past acts? I love tales of redemption and this story fit the bill. Sprinkled with steamy sex, it's a highly enjoyable read with a gorgeous ending. A perfect addition to a fantastic series, I highly recommend this book.

It’s been a while since I’ve read one of SFD’s books. I was sick and struggled with concentrating, so reading wasn’t really an option. I’ve gotten back into it gradually, and finally picked up some of her books so I could catch up. Since it had been a while, like more than a year, I was afraid I wouldn’t remember some of the other characters and situations from previous books in the series and might find myself lost of confused. Well, let me tell you, I did not have that problem. Susan’s characters are so memorable, as soon as the previous characters were introduced, I remembered everything about them! I read A LOT, and I don’t always remember characters and storylines because I read hundreds a year, so it says something that I remember hers.

About Bonner...I remembered Stephanie and her shenanigans from Wyatt’s book, and it’s probably a good thing that it’s been a hot minute since I’ve read this series so I wasn’t still pissed at her when I picked this up. Ha. I loved that the traditional roles were sort of reversed in this book. She owned the ranch where he worked (often it’s the guys who own the ranch/business/etc.). I loved the chemistry between B and S. Their relationship was on fire from the very beginning. Lots of heat and passion. This was an emotional story full of chemistry, love, and redemption, and it was so beautifully told in a way only SFD can do. I just love the people of Clifton. I want to live there and be friends with them. SFD paints an amazing picture in all her books, you’ll want to step right inside.

I’m tackling the Beckett series next, and I like that those guys played big roles in this book. It’s a nice segue for me.

What a gut wrenching story about a woman who has done wrong but trying to change. A man who wants to help but who is also trying to figure out how far does he let the ship sink before he jumps and goes his own way.

I absolutely loved Bonner in this book. At times, he seemed a little rough around the edges but he was exactly what Stephanie needed. He helped her remember the spirit she had inside of her. I loved that when she needed to go and speak to someone she was afraid of, he was pretty stern to her in the truck, but as soon as they were talking to that individual, he stayed right beside her and offered suggestions or asked the others to give her a shot.

I could feel so much for Stephanie. What she did was wrong and I really didn't like her in the other book, but in this one, you could feel just how much she is still beating herself up over her part. I kept thinking that probably most people can name at ;east one thing they did in their life that they wish they could go back and change. Stephanie couldn't and she had an entire town wanting to remind her of it. I loved that she leaned on Bonner when she needed to.

This was an amazing addition to the Men of Clifton series. It's a must read!

Good story

This is Bonner and Stephanie's book.

Bonner is the foreman on Stephanie's ranch. He has worked there for years and was around to know Stephanie while she was in her teens. He witnessed first hand how rude and nasty she could be and he knows that the way the town feels about her is well deserved. Especially after what she did to his friend Wyatt and his them girlfriend, Olivia. Stephanie's father is now in jail for his part in trying to kill Olivia so that Stephanie could be with Wyatt.

Stephanie has learned her lesson the hard way. Once the rich girl bi*ch of the town, she is now all alone. Her dad is in prison and she is in danger of losing her ranch. The ranch had belonged to her mom. Opening it had been her mom's dream. But she is now down to 2 workers and Bonner. She had to let all the others go. What was once a prosperous ranch is now gone. All of their clients left because of what she and her dad did to Wyatt and Olivia.

Can Bonner help Stephanie redeem herself and save the ranch?

Bonner and Stephanie find love

This is book eight and features the spoilt young woman named Stephanie from the previous books. This book picks up three years later where Stephanie has recognized her shortcomings and is trying to be a better person. However the rest of the town is not so forgiving. Bonner is her lead ranch hand. He is trying to stay on to help Stephanie, but things are just going badly at the ranch and they had to let go of quite a few ranch hands. There is a happy ending but honestly it felt not good in a way. The way the land purchase happened felt shady. The way Bonner had to confirm that Stephanie was not in love with Wyatt anymore at the end was not good. The ending was not convincing of their love.

Great!

I chose this rating because this is actually a pretty good book. I enjoyed pretty much all over the characters. This was a book cooperation, selfishness, being selfless, kindness, compassion, consideration, realizing your faults and dealing with them, and falling in love. I enjoyed it Bonner and Stephanie story. This was a pretty great read. I think the author did an amazing job putting these characters together and everyone getting over what she (Stephanie) had done. I recommend this book to all romance readers

Stephanie is on the verge of losing her ranch. After everything she put Wyatt and Olivia through, no one wants to work with her.
Bonner started off working for her father. He is trying to help her get clients or anything possible to get it going again but nothing is working.
Bonner is very attracted to her but is fighting it. Stephanie has wanted him for a long time.
What will happen to the ranch now? Will a relationship finally bloom between them?

He had worked this ranch for years watching her make mistake after mistake. He blamed her father for never telling her no and she was spoiled rotten? Now her ranch was down to him and two other guys and that was it. Nobody wants her to work with their horses and she was going to lose her ranch.
Enjoy

There are very few authors that can take a character that everyone hates, and redeem them to the point I'm in tears. Susan Fisher-Davis did just that in this book. Before now I hated Stephanie, this book made me love her so much I was in tears. Unsurpassed talent!

Great Redemption Story

Stephanie's transformation from "poor little rich bitch" to a caring, loving woman was a read-it-to-completion-in-one-sitting story. One of the best so far in this series.
