Abandonment and childhood trauma might be bring some siblings closer but more often creates unbreachable chasms. Interesting use of first person writing by characters who are not literary and in some cases near illiterate

I really enjoyed this book, I love the way she can make you feel so involved in the story, you feel as if you are a friend of the characters and they are just telling you their thoughts and hopes and secrets.

Having read and enjoyed 'Tell me your Secret', I was looking forward to this book. However, I was very disappointed - yes there were colourful characters in it, but they didnt grab me.
