Life was going as planned for Nina Carson, an ambitious junior in college attending Florida State. Her childhood goals were on track, well thought out, and being executed flawlessly until one terrible night during spring break in Miami. Nina’s journey takes a drastic turn as her life begins spinning out of control. Consequently, the night of her tragedy falls one day after the shooting at Columbine High School. Little does she know how her life will be forever impacted and strangely paralleled to one of the young victims, Rachel Joy Scott, and the horrific event.
After visiting Columbine’s campus, Nina leaves the beaches of Florida and ends up on the streets of New York City for an entirely different and more meaningful reason. Ultimately, the journey becomes a mystical adventure, leading her to a place she only dreamed possible: the Future Kingdom, where Everlove awaits.

There is a strong story in 'Everlove'.....I was fully - deeply engaged until the mix of God and Jesus entered the dialogue. I admit.. It's 'my problem'... It takes away from the story being told for me.
When I read...."Thank you, Jesus", "Thank you for not giving up on me"....I go south. I'm no longer present in the storytelling. I'm not a complete heartless person... I see the great qualities in this book - the story - with emotional feelings for the characters. However... It's my own personal pet peeve: I'd much rather read about a characters own struggles - confusions -growth and transformation from their own voice...not from advice given. "And even if you don't understand 'why', you just have to trust that God knows what He's doing".
Brian, I had forgotten about this difference between you and me... (I adore you... so it's nothing personal)... but this style of mixing a religious slant into the story just isn't my cup of tea.
I think you will find an audience for these stories. You've taken a serious topic and brought it to the surface ...which is as real as non-fiction. THAT I was interested in!!!
People who enjoy Christian stories will be turning the pages, hanging on to every word.
The 'topic' ( the thing I've not said)... 'is' the reason to read this book IMO...so, if you have no problem including a little God- talk .. You might just find the juice itself very thirst quenching.
Everlove was very generously given to me by the author Brian Ming a friend of mine. A short read (At just 143 pages) Everlove was a quick and moving read. The story of Nina Carson as she battles tough times, comes to the Lord and moves on with her life serving God and eventually giving her life for Him. Although I did have a few issues with this book it was overall very enjoyable and thought-provoking and I recommend it to anyone!
I'm thrilled to introduce you to the Future Kingdom, my first book series. Everlove (Book 1) starts a six part journey leading to very unlikely places. It will not only keep you guessing, but is sure to entertain and challenge your way of thinking about life after death. And I'm not talking about heaven.
Although Everlove only makes reference to the Future Kingdom, it introduces readers to one of three main characters who eventually live very meaningful lives there. Some might be wondering if this is a fantasy book? The answer is yes. Total fiction. Total fantasy. But, I admit the real fantasy aspect begins in book four.
The Future Kingdom will appeal to anyone who enjoys a good story, but especially someone trying to figure out their life's purpose. Another strong theme would be dealing with disappointment or regret in life. I guarantee no matter the background or age bracket, Everlove has a little something for everyone.
What are you waiting for? The Future Kingdom awaits.
EVERLOVE (THE FUTURE KINGDOM #1) is a story about how a wrong decision can bring lifelong plans tumbling down but in another sense can be the best thing that could ever happen to you. Indeed, God takes the bad things in our lives and uses them for good to further His kingdom!!!
Nina, a young college student majors in music. It is her passion and she will not ruin her chance for fame on alcohol, drugs, parties and guys. She has worked hard at her studies her whole life with her dream ever present in everything she does. Little does Nina know that the words to her very first debut song holds more meaning than what she "believes" them to have. Then she makes a bad decision which causes her to leave college but then miraculously turns her life around. The example she shows the New York City inner kids is one we all need to follow.
In this first book of the series, Brian Ming blends some of the harsh realities of our earthly life with the known glories of heaven that most of us have learned from reading the Bible. The reader is brought into the life of the character in a way that makes her seem like a young lady we might know and yet he mixes in some deep spiritual truths in a way that leaves us with some very profound insights. It also takes us back to the tragedy of Columbine, a very sad time in the history of our country. I could not put this book down, literally! In fact, I was so deep into this book I would forget to update my progress in my Goodreads account. I cannot wait to read the next book in this series. Kudos to Brian for writing another outstanding, truthful book. If you enjoy Christian fiction, please do yourself a favor and read any and/or all of Brian Ming's novels.
This is a different kind of story about a young college student, after a bad decision, leaves school and turns her life around. She becomes a teacher to NY inner City kids and teaches them her love for Jesus. Her example is one we all need to follow, loving Jesus, and following his will.
I am sorry, but what was that?.. This story doesn't make any sense. I may be a bit biased as I don't believe in God, but this was just too much for me. I don' have anything against believe and believing in God, but this was just insane... The story started out exciting and promising, but fast turned into something I couldn't enjoy...This was just not a book for me.
Good story, well written. It started a bit slow for me but moved along well. It really shows how wrong decisions can affect you and how God can take something bad and use it for good. I enjoyed this one and would recommend it to anyone.
