A VG copy or a little better due to cover wear at back and also a small diaganol clip at the front blank free endpaper - probably to remove previous owner name. the jacket shows edgewear.

An interesting and to the point history of the birth and rise of Tempe, Phoenix's neighbor to the east and the home of Arizona State University. It is a bit dated- the history largely stops in the early 1980s, but that is to be expected from a book published in 1990!

"Tempe: Arizona's Crossroads" paints a rose tinted narrative with a broad brush, largely ignoring the challenges Tempe has faced in its history.

Despite this, the book is still worth a read. It is full of interesting information that can help anyone get a sense of how this city came to be. I recommend it to anyone looking to get a sense of the Tempe's relatively short but storied past- through 1989 that is!
